CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1023: Chapter 1031: Destroy It

”So it’s clear that this person doesn’t hate money, but at the time, behind the real truth of the fruit-throwing incident, there was someone far more important to him than money. So, he chose to protect that person and forgo the money.”

Jane Sampson was no fool. Although James Black did not directly name names, she already knew the answer in her heart. It was Mona Calm.

Back then, Mona Calm and she lived in the same great courtyard. Jane’s popularity wasn’t as high yet, but even so, the name Jane Sampson was a frequent feature on the hot lists of all the major trending lists online. Back then, this incident about her being fruit-pelted in the film crew and changing her assistant caused a spike in popularity for that studio’s Official Twitter Account.

If Mona was the girlfriend of the studio’s boss, then it was plausible that Mona leaked the information and the studio chose to protect Mona over money.

”Jane, one of the studio’s Official Accounts has just tweeted about you being ostracized on the film crew again, and this time, the incident happened just when Mona was by your side again. Moreover, after the incident was clarified, out of everyone, Mona was the only beneficiary,” James Black said. ”Now all your fans know about this small actor who is a good friend of yours. Her Twitter follower count has surged, and many of your fans have started following her out of respect for you.”

After reviewing the information, James Black had analyzed these events over and over. So, his current attitude towards Mona Calm could be described as wishing he could kill her.

”Jane, last time it was Mona who leaked news about the fruit and changing assistants to boost her boyfriend’s Official Account’s popularity. This time, that Official Account is manipulating things for Mona, deliberately posting her photo during the incident of your isolation, and if you look carefully at that photo, isn’t Mona’s face directly facing the camera, completely visible? It’s not a good situation, but they made sure her photo was clearly visible. They were certain that you would overcome this unexpected crisis and could use it to hype up Mona, the girlfriend,” he explained.

”The studio also employs a considerable number of paid posters, and right after the isolation incident came out, their paid posters were driving the internet to focus on the small actor who was getting along well with you and did not join in isolating you alongside Amber Edwards. Just as they had hoped, Mona’s popularity soared even higher due to this affair, indeed reaching a new level.”

Jane’s hand holding her mobile phone was almost trembling lightly.

So, was this the true nature of the person whom she and Coco Edwards treated with real sincerity as a friend?

Selfish and ruthless, exploiting others and still stomping on them from behind.

How could there be such terrifying people in this world?

Yesterday, she was still speaking in a very upset tone, apologizing over and over about the mountain village incident, and in the restroom, as Jane looked at her red-rimmed eyes, she didn’t say it out loud, but her heart was already softened by Mona’s tears. That’s why she made a special trip to Hibiscus Wood’s place after walking out.

”Upset?” James Black asked Jane gently, and when he didn’t hear Jane speak again, he knew that her mood must be terrible at the moment.

”Jane, don’t let others make you unhappy; no one in this world has that right,” James Black said emphatically. ”What she is unscrupulously seeking, I can easily destroy.”
