Chapter 1005: Chapter 1013: Ran Into Evil, Right?

That day, Old Master Black did hear it and then lectured Jane Sampson for nearly half an hour, teaching her that to do each thing, one must put forth their most serious attitude to complete it; otherwise, don’t even start.

Old Master Black remembered that Jane Sampson then told Peter Gingery that he had taught her what it meant to see things through from start to finish.

The little miss was not easy to appease when she threw a tantrum, but once her temper subsided, she was a girl capable of independent thought.

Impetuous when she felt like it, she still learned what she had to.

This was why Old Master Black liked Jane Sampson the most.

”It’s a pity that as I grew up, I gradually had less and less time to learn, and now I can remember only a few of the techniques that grandfather taught me,” Jane Sampson sighed softly, ”Just like grandfather said, I was lucky that day. If James Black had arrived even a bit later, I certainly wouldn’t have been unharmed and able to sit here talking with grandfather.”

”That’s because our little Jane is lucky,” Old Master Black laughed heartily, ”No worries, when you have a child, grandfather will teach the child, and you can start relearning from the beginning at his side.”

”That won’t do, I must learn it first; otherwise, when the child sees me and asks, ’Mom, why are you so dumb?’ how will I answer?” Jane Sampson coaxed, holding onto Old Master Black’s hand, ”Wait until I’m on vacation, and then you can teach me all over again, grandfather.”

”Okay, just don’t start bawling and complain to James Black that I, your old man, bullied you,” Old Master Black grinned from ear to ear. Seeing that it was about time to leave, he gave a few more instructions, ”If you’re not used to the boxed rice on the film set, give home a call, let Aunt make your favorite food and deliver it to the set. It’s okay for girls to be a bit delicate; otherwise, eating boxed rice every day, there’s no nutrition.”

”Okay,” Jane Sampson nodded, ”I’ll walk grandfather to the doorway.”

Old Master Black nodded, and they both got up and walked outside.

At the doorway, before Old Master Black got into the car, they talked for about ten more minutes, and then he got into the car and left.

Because Old Master Black visited the set today and they talked for about forty minutes, after he left, Jane Sampson’s heart felt as warm as being bathed by the sun on a winter day.

James Chip knew that a senior from Jane Sampson’s house had come to visit the set, so he greeted others and started work first.

By the time Jane Sampson returned, filming had already been underway for a while.

Coco Edwards was already there. When Jane Sampson came back, Coco offered her a glass of water first and then whispered to Jane Sampson, ”Hibiscus Wood has been off all day today, constantly clashing with Mona Calm.”

Jane Sampson turned her head to look in the distance; she could hear James Chip roaring at Mona Calm but couldn’t make out what he was yelling about. ”What happened with Hibiscus Wood just now?” asked Jane Sampson.

”While acting, Hibiscus Wood was pressuring Mona. She’s a newcomer, a minor role without systematic training, how could she cope with Hibiscus Wood’s imposing oppression? Plus, Hibiscus slapped her twice this morning, so facing Hibiscus now, Mona is under a lot of psychological pressure. Now also outmatched in skill, Mona is continuously affected by Hibiscus, unable to perform well in the drama. The director has lost his temper several times already, saying that if Mona doesn’t improve her acting, she will be replaced.”

Coco Edwards, finding it all a bit strange as well, said, ”Just yesterday, everything was fine, but today Hibiscus Wood is like a changed person. Do you think she could have run into some evil spirits in the mountain village?”
