CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1010: Chapter 1018: Could it be boys?

James Chip knew that nowadays, audiences were increasingly harder to fool. From the script and the actors’ skills to dubbing and costume props, the audience could critique everything, and nailing each aspect was crucial to producing a good drama.

”Cut! That’s enough for this scene. Go over there and rest, have some water.” James Chip spoke a few words to his assistant, then went to check the filming situation at the other camera positions.

When he got there, he found Mona Calm and a few female supporting roles including Hibiscus Wood, acting out a scene where Mona Calm, playing a palace maid, relayed messages for Honored Princess Consort Dawn.

Nowadays, there were vacancies in the palace’s hierarchy because the Emperor had not long ascended the throne, and his imperial concubines had yet to bear children.

Thus, Honored Princess Consort Dawn temporarily managed the harem, and since she oversaw many court affairs, naturally, her maids had many interactions with the other imperial concubines.

However, just as James Chip arrived, he saw Hibiscus Wood’s positioning in front of the camera completely blocking Mona Calm standing behind her, not even a strand of hair could be seen.

Mona Calm’s part was finished, leaving only Hibiscus Wood and the other imperial concubines’ parts. Normally, Mona Calm’s face would still be visible in the lens, albeit a bit blurry.

But with Hibiscus Wood’s blocking, Mona Calm’s chance to appear in this scene ended prematurely.

This did not affect the drama as a whole, so James Chip pretended not to notice.

Watching Mona Calm slowly retreating with a face full of grievance, James Chip pretended not to see and after inspecting the area and finding no issues, he moved to another camera position.

However, what Hibiscus Wood did might have gone unnoticed by the newcomers, but the experienced seniors could see it clearly.

Jane Sampson was serving chrysanthemum tea and chatting with those teachers to gain experience when they were discussing this matter.

The seniors had spent enough days with Jane to become quite familiar with her, everyone liked her energetic and ever-smiling demeanor even after long tiring days, and their attitude towards her was even better because of what happened yesterday.

As Jane approached, they did not avoid her, and continued their discussion, making her aware that Hibiscus Wood continued targeting Mona Calm today.

”Oh, right, little Jane. The person who pushed you that day, do you really have no impression of them?” the actress playing the Empress Dowager and teacher Yip turned to ask Jane.

Jane shook her head, ”I really have no impression.”

”To push you so far, they must have strong strength, tell me, could it have been a boy?” Teacher Yip speculated, ”Absolutely despicable.”

”I don’t understand,” Jane had thought about this issue too; given her weight of 90 kilograms, if she were to suddenly push someone of the same weight, she might knock them over, but she wouldn’t necessarily have the strength to push someone that far.

”It’s better we investigate this matter,” Teacher Yip thought, feeling it was frightening to be in a film crew with such a person. Unfortunately, she hadn’t gone to the mountain to film that day, so she didn’t know the specifics.
