CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1001: Chapter 1009: Even More Heart-Moving

Then she continued talking business with Jane Sampson, ”The company whose body lotion and perfume you promoted on Twitter some time ago has sent you a very formal invitation. They invite you to visit their company and plantation when you have time. Oh, and they also mentioned they will send you a set of all the skincare products they’ve produced so far, to show their appreciation for your support and love for their company.”

”Sister Tin has collected the invitation for you. Since there’s no set time limit, they said you can visit whenever you have the time,” Coco Edwards pondered for a moment and said, ”Do you have any idea when you might go? I need to start saving money, so then I can go on a shopping spree abroad with you.”

Coco Edwards was Jane Sampson’s assistant, so whenever Jane traveled abroad, Coco would also go with her, without any personal cost on her part; it was all covered by the company. Therefore, she only needed to save money for the things she wanted to buy for herself.

”Let’s see how it goes. The filming for this drama is quite long, so I guess I won’t be able to go this year, which means you have plenty of time to save up,” Jane Sampson was slightly thrilled, ”Sister Tin knows me so well. This invitation is spot on. I’ve been interested in this company’s plantation for a very long time, the endless fields of Rose Mountain, the sprawling lavender fields. The company’s plantation is still not open to tourists to ensure quality—I’ve been itching to visit.”

”With you talking like that, I’m even more eager now!” Coco Edwards, arm in arm with Jane Sampson, was ecstatic.

After chatting for a bit, film crew personnel called everyone to eat, and Coco got up to go ahead and get meals for Jane. Jane sat there playing a game of playing landlord on her mobile phone. She had just finished a round when she heard a noise beside her and without even lifting her eyelids, said, ”Coco, did you install wind-fire wheels on your legs? That was fast. I only played one round of landlord.”

Her words had barely finished when she heard Mona Calm’s voice.

”Sister Jane.” In her voice, there was a hint of sadness and the urge to cry, ”Sister Jane, are you angry with me because of what happened yesterday? I’m sorry, Sister Jane, I’m really a coward. I truly wanted to accompany Sister Coco yesterday, but I was scared. Just the thought of that person having a gun made my legs freeze.”

Speaking, Mona Calm burst into tears, ”Sister Jane, can you forgive me? I’m really, really sorry...”

”Come now, Mona.” Jane Sampson put down her mobile phone and called out to Mona with a hint of helplessness, ”Stop crying and talk to me properly.”

Mona nodded continuously, raising her hand to wipe away her tears.

Jane Sampson continued to speak to Mona, ”Yesterday, when Coco told me about what happened, I told her that neither she nor I have the right to judge whether you acted right or wrong. It’s your freedom and right not to help, and if you did, it’s a favor to me. So I didn’t blame you.”

”Really?” asked Mona.

Jane Sampson nodded, ”However, trust is a reciprocal matter. I don’t blame you, but I can’t stop myself from feeling disappointed. Whether or not you help, that’s your right. As for how I’ll treat you from now on, that’s my right too. I forgive you and I understand you, but, Mona, I can be petty. So, it’s possible I might not treat you quite the same way as before.”

If it were just a stranger, Jane Sampson’s heart would not have been disappointed.
