CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 984: Chapter 992: Kill This Man

”When I was hijacked, there was only one thought in my mind, ’Who the hell is stabbing me in the back and pushing me, this delicate flower, into disaster?’ During the resistance, my only thought was, If I don’t resist, I’ll die. I want to live, I must live to settle the score with the person who stabbed me in the back! Flay him alive, kill him!”

After speaking, Jane Sampson observed everyone’s expressions for a moment, then called out for Coco Edwards to get in the car first.

Because of this incident, no one felt like working today, and James Chip, considering what Jane had been through after the hijacking and, of course, considering her as a money-maker, allowed Jane to go back to the hotel to rest early.

After returning with Jane, Coco spoke with a muffled voice, ”I don’t think I can be good friends with Mona Calm anymore.”

”What happened?” Jane, sitting and scrolling through WhatsApp on her mobile phone, turned her head toward Coco upon hearing this, ”What happened?”

”Although I know I really can’t blame Mona for rejecting me under those circumstances, I still can’t shake this feeling off,” Coco told Jane about how she had been rejected by Mona in the mountain village and then continued, ”In my heart, she was a friend, someone I trusted. That’s why she was the first person I thought of. But she refused me straightforwardly. My heart is really filled with disappointment and sadness.”

Coco continued, ”Wasn’t I good to her? She had no assistant, but I helped her with whatever I could. And little Jane, you were good to her too, weren’t you? You supported her whenever you could. These past few days, she has been with us all the time, sharing our food and everything without any objection, and you also patiently taught her a lot about acting. But still, she...”

At this, Coco choked up a bit.

Jane Sampson was silent for a long time before gently patting Coco’s back of hand lightly.

”Coco, I really appreciate you, truly, for being willing to go back up the mountain in such a dangerous situation to save me.” This thanks was sincere.

”I also understand your feelings because we considered Mona a friend. If Mona had been hijacked today, we would have been willing to climb the mountain to find a defender to rescue her. But she refused you today, so you felt very sad and disappointed,” Jane sighed. ”Actually, I’m quite disappointed too.”

As she said this, Jane shook her head, ”But you also said, not helping is the rule, helping is favor. She was just sticking to her rule. In a life and death situation, if she didn’t want to help, I can’t really blame her for anything.”

But, reciprocation is mutual.

Just like Coco said, it’s just that maybe in the future, we can’t continue being so good to Mona anymore.

Understanding the principle of duty is one thing, but what the hearts inclines towards is another.

”Let’s not talk about the unpleasant things, let me tell you something happy,” Jane jostled Coco’s arm, ”Remember when I was always off-target while filming ’I’m Not a Celebrity’? Later, I visited the guard team again, practiced for half a day, and was just occasionally not off-target. But did you know? Today I shot the murderer in the head with one shot. Bam! Killed him right there.”

The fear of having killed someone was suppressed by the presence of James Black. Later, when she recalled how her terrible marksmanship had saved her life in a critical moment, Jane inexplicably got excited again.
