CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 978: Chapter 986: Killed Eleven People

James Chip and others hadn’t gone far when they caught up with the people who had run off before, a young girl from the logistics team was crying and trembling all the way.

”There now, you’re safe, why are you still crying like this?” someone comforted her on the side.

”I’m still scared, just thinking about how there was a gun pointed at my head just now makes me terrified,” the girl said, crying somewhat hysterically, ”Miss Sampson is still in that person’s hands, what do we do?”

When the girl posed that question, suddenly no one answered.

”Yesterday, I took the bus here to the mountain village to arrange things, and I overheard on the bus that a few days ago, a secluded village nearby was wiped out, eleven members of a family, killed in one night, from the elderly in their eighties and nineties to a child just one month old, all were murdered,” a man in his thirties from the supporting staff suddenly spoke, ”I heard a few villagers on the bus discussing that it seemed to be the work of two brothers. Those villagers said the brothers had left that village over thirty years ago and no one knew why they suddenly returned, only to slay that entire family.”

”Two people killed eleven?” the logistics girl cried out again, ”Even the elderly and children were not spared, what about Sister Jane?”

The world’s most brutal murderers are those who annihilate entire families, not sparing anyone, regardless of age.

”I think we should secretly follow and see,” James Chip stopped immediately upon hearing this, ”We have more people, maybe there will be a chance, and Jane said just now that the police will come up the mountain to meet us, so if we can delay some time, maybe the police will come up! Then you folks hurry down the mountain to notify the police to come faster, and we who follow will leave markers on the trees for you all the way.”

”Okay!” Coco Edwards nodded repeatedly, ”Director, I agree with this idea, then I’ll go find that defender we met with little Jane just now, we have no signal on our mobile phones, but those people must have communicative equipment we can use.”

”Alright, find a few more people to accompany you, be careful along the way,” James Chip nodded.

Coco Edwards instinctively called out to Mona Calm, then said, ”Will you come with me?”

Mona Calm shook her head repeatedly, ”Sister Coco, I’m scared.”

Coco Edwards felt very disappointed, after all, Jane had been very good to Mona before the incident, even promoting her.

But Mona valued her life and refused. Coco sighed, consoling herself that it was understandable for Mona to refuse something that concerned her life.

Latter, Coco looked over the group again but no one was willing to accompany her up the mountain for the risky endeavor; everyone knew there was a vicious murderer in the mountains. On the other hand, many volunteered to go down the mountain to find the police.

In the end, James Chip called on one of his assistants, who was originally going to follow him on the pursuit, to go up the mountain with Coco, and it was only then that people went their separate ways.

When James Chip returned to the original place where Jane had been taken hostage, they couldn’t find her, but after circling around, they unexpectedly found the mark Jane had left.

”This bead is from Miss Sampson’s bracelet,” someone from the makeup team with sharp eyes spotted something reflective in the inconspicuous bushes on the ground, opened it to look, and sure enough, it was the bracelet that the makeup team had just put on Jane this morning.
