I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1262: Chapter 1261: Close Call

If that’s really the case, then the Nie Family will definitely try every means to intercept these escaped test subjects!

That’s right, Luo Yirui knew why he was so uneasy. When they escaped, the entire ’factory’ was already destroyed. It wasn’t done by his father, nor by his aunt. He clearly heard his aunt cursing the Nie Family’s ruthless methods!

The Nie Family wants to destroy the evidence!

Since that’s the case, they definitely won’t let these test subjects go!

Thinking of this, Luo Yirui’s heart suddenly sank. He hoped that those escaped children could hide well, never exposing any flaws. He didn’t want to see them recaptured, or silenced by the Nie Family.

Luo Yirui no longer felt the joy of leaving the mountains; now he only wished he was overthinking.

It’s not that Luo Yirui, at such a young age, had such strong logical thinking. It wasn’t innate, but cultivated later. Luo Yirui was now immensely grateful that his father had secretly trained his understanding and analytical abilities.

Because of this, the four of them didn’t rush blindly into the nearby village; otherwise, they would have fallen right into the trap.

After coming down the mountain, Luo Yirui and the others discovered fields nearby, which obviously meant there was a village. Normally, finding a nearby village and connecting to the outside world would mean salvation. Even adults would rush in under such circumstances.

Seeing people in the village who were clearly not villagers, Luo Yirui silently broke into a cold sweat, gesturing for Little Fatty and the others to keep quiet.

Little Fatty and Fu Xuan Ge also felt a silent fear. Fortunately, they listened to Luo Yirui, deciding to observe first before entering the village. If they had followed their own hunger-driven impulses, they would have gone straight in.

”Are they from the Nie Family?” Little Fatty asked in a low voice.

Luo Yirui shook his head. They weren’t from the Nie Family, but they might be the Nie Family’s lackeys. The massive ’factory’s’ person in charge didn’t have the surname Nie, which made him think there might be more than one such factory.

However, in this remote little village, the appearance of seven or eight such people is certainly suspicious.

The four of them had a brief discussion and decided not to take the risk, planning to take a detour and quietly leave. Suddenly, they heard a creepy laughter behind them, shocking Luo Yirui. They quickly turned around to see two men standing behind them.

”Found you, you’re really good at hiding!” one of the men laughed.

At this point, the four of them no longer doubted; these people were indeed waiting here, like hunting foxes in a trap!

The test subjects fled into the deep mountains, so all the surrounding villages only had to wait at the exits. This time, the Nie Family sent a large number of people, guarding the villages inside and outside the mountains, near and far, just waiting for them to come out!

The Nie Family’s foundation must not be destroyed by a few test subjects!

Luo Yirui put his hands on the ground, grabbed a handful of dirt, and threw it into the two men’s faces, shouting in a low voice, ”Run!”

The other three scrambled up and ran for their lives. Luo Yirui gave each of the two pursuers a Paralysis Talisman, then turned and ran too.

”Quickly, quickly, before the others discover us!” Luo Yirui said.

The other three needed no urging. Facing the Nie Family, any feeling of hunger or fatigue vanished. Only escaping was the priority.

Luo Yirui’s response was quick enough. The two men didn’t expect there to be someone among the test subjects who could activate the Spiritual Talisman. They fell without even making a sound.
