I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1180: Chapter 1179: Purpose

”Brother Chen, why is it so complicated? Wouldn’t it be easier to just take Little Rui in with us?” the special forces soldier asked Chen Jinliang.

The two were hiding in a cave halfway up the mountain. After Luo Yirui went inside, he didn’t put the sewer cover back, which had been a problem since the operation started. It was them who had opened the sewer cover, injected the air below, and even cleared the passage inside.

Relatively speaking, taking Luo Yirui in would be simpler, so he was puzzled about why they did it this way.

However, despite the many loopholes in Luo Yirui’s actions, no one blamed him for anything. After all, the other party was just a child who was not even seven years old. Having this courage was already quite impressive, able to achieve this had astonished the warriors who came along.

Chen Jinliang said, ”What were you doing when you were six years old?”

The soldier scratched his head, ”Can’t remember.”

”You were probably still peeing while playing with mud, right?”

The soldier’s face turned red.

”Little Rui is not even seven years old, look at what he’s doing now? You were trained for how long before qualifying for this mission, Little Rui at six is already cooperating in the action, now you know how remarkable Little Rui is, right?”

The soldier felt ashamed, but this did relate to his question?

”Such a child, failure would be too harsh for him. At least wait until he has built enough confidence before he experiences failure. Experiencing failure then is inevitable!” Chen Jinliang said. This was, of course, Luo Xudong’s idea, but he was very actively cooperating.

The soldier looked at the opened sewer entrance, they would have to close it and seal it later, or else it would be discovered. It was from this sewer entrance that a six-year-old child had gone down...

Earlier, maybe it didn’t seem like a big deal, just thought it was troublesome, but thinking about it now, Luo Yirui really is amazing, extremely brave!

They certainly could have taken Luo Yirui in, but once inside, Luo Yirui’s actions would be much more convenient than theirs, speeding up intelligence gathering and accelerating the entire mission’s progress.

”Worthy of being the commander’s son!” The soldier couldn’t help but sigh.

When he first came, he was quite defiant of the commander, thinking he was too young and the rumors were exaggerated. Later, after being disciplined, he behaved properly, but deep inside he still didn’t take it seriously until after several missions he realized the outside rumors were really inaccurate, they didn’t even convey a tenth of the commander’s capabilities!

Now the commander’s son is only six years old, already has such capability, what would it be like when he grows up?

”Let’s go.” Chen Jinliang said.

The soldier quickly nodded, this time without any doubt, even some willingness, he wanted to see what the young commander would be like when he grew up.

Once Luo Yirui went down the sewer, he wasted not a single moment. As long as the air was sufficient, he would overcome all other obstacles.

He recalled the map he saw earlier. Although not completely memorized, he had looked at it carefully, able to discern the general direction, he followed it continuously. Whenever he saw a sewer exit, he would climb up to observe, if the direction was right, he continued onward.

Inside the sewer, there was all sorts of stuff, feces and urine were common, various garbage floated on the waterway, just the smell was disgusting, occasionally seeing sparkling eyes flash in the dark, those were rats.

Although they weren’t clearly visible, these rats were probably as big as two palms, a bite might tear off a chunk of flesh. Such rats, heard if they enter people’s homes, might even eat children!
