I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1151: Chapter 1150: Work With Me

He had overheard his mom and Uncle Xun talking about the infiltrator, but it was supposed to be a secret or still in the speculation stage. How did Little Fatty know?

”Why do you say that?” Luo Yirui asked.

Little Fatty smirked, ”Don’t pretend you don’t know. I bet your mom and uncle have their suspicions.”

Luo Yirui shrugged, ”They might have guessed, but you can’t just talk about these things carelessly. Are your faction people discussing it too?”

”I can’t tell you how I know, but there’s definitely an infiltrator,” Little Fatty said confidently.

Luo Yirui sat back in the armchair, resting his head on his arms, and said, ”Why tell me this?”

Little Fatty wouldn’t say this for no reason.

Little Fatty glanced towards the door; even though the soundproofing in the castle was good, he couldn’t help but lower his voice.

”Do you want to do something?”

Luo Yirui eyed Little Fatty up and down, ”What do you mean?”

”Aren’t you bored just sitting around? Doing something not only relieves boredom but if you achieve something, the family will notice you. Isn’t that great?” Little Fatty said.

”The family notices you even without achievements,” Luo Yirui said, finding it completely unappealing.

Little Fatty felt a sting in his heart. Although he was brought here, he knew from the start that he wasn’t representing his family as an elite, but rather as a hostage, as cannon fodder!

Unlike Luo Yirui, who was naturally cherished and valued by the faction, if Little Fatty didn’t have any particularly outstanding achievements or contributions, he would remain a scapegoat for the real geniuses until the Nie Family’s demise. Surviving to adulthood would be tough, let alone gaining attention.

Little Fatty really wanted to prove his abilities, to gain the upper tier’s attention and become the elite the faction truly wanted to nurture.

”You can see it as honing your skills. Even if you’re called a genius, you won’t last long without effort. Don’t you agree?” Little Fatty said with a grin.

What Luo Yirui said earlier was just to understand Little Fatty’s real intention better. Directly asking him wouldn’t work, and Little Fatty was cautious, not revealing too much more.

Just because he didn’t say it doesn’t mean Luo Yirui wouldn’t guess. With that phrase earlier, he’d already speculated to some extent. Coupled with his mom’s detailed analysis of the Ancient Family and Modern Family over the past two days, he thought he could consider Little Fatty’s suggestion.

They’re young, so it’s easy for people to overlook them and let their guard down, making it indeed easier to act than adults.

However, because they’re young and prone to oversight, mistakes and slip-ups can easily occur, which is troublesome. So, should he tell his mom about this?

But if he told her, she probably wouldn’t agree.

Luo Yirui felt quite torn. He’d actually already thought about taking action, just been pondering the possibilities. Now, with Little Fatty bringing it up, it seemed unstoppable.

”Got any plans? Let me hear first.” Luo Yirui wasn’t in a rush to decide just yet, in case Little Fatty turned out to be a lousy teammate.

As soon as Little Fatty heard the word ”game,” he got excited, plopping down on the soft carpet, and said, ”I don’t have a specific plan yet, that’s why I want to find someone reliable to discuss with. But if you collaborate with me, I can tell you something about the Hou Family. That Hou kid’s purpose for coming here isn’t simple.”
