I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 989: Chapter 988: Favor Lost Completely

Beisitian frowned slightly when she saw the patient.

Those who had been watching Beisitian knew that the situation might not be optimistic. In fact, they didn’t need to look at her expression to know this, but for her to frown, it should be very unpromising.

The most anxious was Hao Jiacheng. So many Mystic Doctors were helpless, could it be that this so-called Great Power could also do nothing? After all, the other party was so young, was she even thirty years old... she looked only twenty-five or six.

”Doctor Bei, we have done multiple blood tests; the active bacteria in her blood are doubling in number every two days,” Sun Bingyang asked.

Yu Junpei also looked at Beisitian. Previously at their gathering, they had talked about Qingyu’s head of the family, not expecting to meet her so soon. Fate, who could speak for it?

Beisitian nodded, ”The active bacteria in the blood must grow, otherwise it cannot offset the erosion from the active bacteria in the organs.”

Yu Junpei was taken aback; it was about the same as what that young man said.

The goatee stroked his beard and asked, ”So according to Doctor Bei, the active bacteria in the blood are beneficial to the human body?”

Beisitian shook her head, turned to him, and said, ”When the active bacteria in the organs are present, this kind of active bacteria can maintain cellular regeneration to keep bodily functions. At this time, it’s harmless and beneficial to the body, but if all the active bacteria in the organs die, the active bacteria in the blood will not continuously regenerate cells to resist, and then the patient will develop septicemia symptoms. If not treated quickly, the speed of death is much faster than normal septicemia.”

Her words caused everyone to fall into thought.

”Don’t you need to conduct blood tests?”

Upon hearing the voice, everyone looked toward the door; it was Chu Fenglei.

Beisitian had seen Chu Fenglei before, and now seeing his appearance, she smiled slightly, ”The results of so many blood tests have already provided me with enough information.”

Chu Fenglei glanced at the reports in the hands of the mystic doctors and asked, ”Did you learn about the properties of these two types of active bacteria from these reports?”

Yu Junpei and several others frowned secretly. What’s with this guy; his words carried a tone of questioning.

Beisitian looked at him calmly and shook her head, ”No.”

”So, isn’t it necessary to conduct a blood test? After all, everyone’s talismanic water is different,” Chu Fenglei said.

Beisitian shook her head again, ”There’s no need to conduct blood tests anymore, nor do I need to know what properties the two types of active bacteria have. If we really tried to figure them out, I’m afraid the patient wouldn’t last.”

This was the difficulty everyone had previously. Active bacteria are such a hard-to-understand concept; understanding one type of active bacteria in three or four months is impossible, and during those three or four months, you’d have to study at home every day.

Of course, there’s a premise before that: you need to have knowledge about active bacteria. If it were Sun Bingyang and the others, studying for a year or two might not guarantee an understanding of the properties of these active bacteria.

So they had previously planned to invite Mr. Qi.

Now, with Beisitian saying that there’s no need to know the properties of active bacteria in order to cure the disease, it piqued everyone’s curiosity. If someone else said this, they would surely be doubted, but since it’s Qingyu’s head of the family who said it, everyone had to consider the possibility.

Chu Fenglei was also intrigued this time. He wasn’t deliberately targeting Beisitian; he was merely testing her.

To say testing might not be appropriate; Beisitian’s skill level was quite high.

”So, we have to ask Doctor Bei how to proceed,” Chu Fenglei said.

Outside the small window, Luo Yirui had already lost all affection for Chu Fenglei. This annoying person, is he questioning and troubling mom?

Annoying, annoying, annoying!

Luo Yirui clenched his little fists, and yet he had thought of him as a good person.

Chu Fenglei didn’t realize he was merely trying to attract Beisitian’s attention, but it backfired, turning the goodwill he had just generated into negatives. If he knew, he would probably regret it.

Beisitian didn’t mind, though. During her medical practice, being questioned was not a first-time occurrence. Curing someone would silence these questioning voices, and those who should shut up would shut up.

”Since these two types of active bacteria can grow together, then they can diminish together!” Beisitian said.

Healing also requires skill, especially at times like this. If approached step by step, the patients couldn’t wait, which differs between Eastern and Western medicine.

After seeing the patient, Beisitian certainly couldn’t perform Spiritual Talisman in public. She returned to the villa, communicated with everyone, and planned to practice talisman making there.

This way, she could stay for dinner...

Even though Beisitian was already a Great Power, she never arrogantly assumed she knew everything; she would listen to others’ opinions. It’s like this; everyone’s insights are different, yours might not always be right, and others might not always be wrong.

Like Mr. Qi, his overall ability might not even surpass Wei Zhongyuan, yet he was still revered because he excelled in a particular field.

Hao Jiacheng immediately prepared a quiet room for Beisitian, Qin Xinyu went in at once to check for monitoring devices. Hao Jiacheng had no objection to this, and other mystic doctors did the same, as if the process of talisman making was very important to them.

After verification, Beisitian began making talismans inside, while Qin Xinyu stood guard outside, his mind inadvertently recalling the process of seeing patients. If it were him, he would probably still conduct blood tests.

Just like Chu Fenglei said, everyone’s talismanic water is different, and the conditions of the blood may also see slight changes, with possibilities of new developments.

However, he did not question Beisitian. He knew that with Beisitian’s level, the data was sufficient to discern the situation, and indeed there was no need for further blood tests.

The talisman Beisitian crafted was to suppress the activity of active bacteria, somewhat akin to gradually putting them to sleep, though this requires experimentation to understand which diminishes first, followed by the other.

So initially, the dosage can’t be too large; otherwise, a mistake would be irreversible.

This wasn’t Beisitian’s first time treating this disease; similar cases had been treated before. For her, it wasn’t difficult. The challenge lay in how to let the patient improve quickly while staying here for a longer duration?

As a doctor, she certainly couldn’t delay their condition to see her child more, so she devised a good reason. The patient’s body had become a battleground; even after healing, the body would be considerably weak. Although staying for conditioning seemed somewhat inappropriate, Beisitian couldn’t think of anything else for the time being.

While pondering, a little head suddenly peeked from the window. Seeing her looking over, he waved at her. Upon closer look, wasn’t that Little Rui!
