I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 964: Chapter 963: Gathering?

The happiest one upon seeing this missing person notice was Hao Rong; now the three were like grasshoppers on the same rope, and nobody could separate them.

Luo Yirui felt genuinely displeased by the look of satisfaction on his face and said, ”Let’s escape separately; that way we can divide their targets.”

Hao Rong’s face fell, and he grabbed Luo Yirui, exclaiming, ”I’ll really go boohoo!”

”Get lost! You pervert!” Luo Yirui couldn’t stand it anymore.

Ultimately, the three of them stayed together. It wasn’t because Luo Yirui softened, but because he felt that the others were ’searching’ for him and Jing Changle together, likely due to a hint he gave Hao Rong on the journey, rather than anything related to his own matters.

Since they couldn’t avoid being chased by those people now, Luo Yirui didn’t mind Hao Rong tagging along anymore.

”You can come with us, but you have to listen to me,” Luo Yirui said.

Hao Rong nodded, ”No problem, I’ll go wherever you go.”

With so many lice, he was no longer afraid of being bitten. Luo Yirui was in this mood right now and was thinking that among the two groups of people pursuing him, one was the police, and the other was criminals. Wouldn’t they fight each other if they bumped together?

Luo Yirui didn’t arrogantly think he could plot such things; he was merely imagining it for now.

They definitely couldn’t stay in Ningjin County; they had to leave quickly. Luo Yirui was very frustrated, as he had come intending to call his parents, but hadn’t accomplished that before being forced to leave.

”You three young ones, may I ask where this place is?”

Luo Yirui and the others turned around to see a man in his sixties holding a map of Ningjin County asking them.

Luo Yirui froze upon seeing this man. It wasn’t because he recognized him, but because his spirit was very full, suggesting he might be the Mystic Doctor.

He felt a certain unexplainable kinship upon seeing the Mystic Doctor, so Luo Yirui took the map. He didn’t know the place but could help take a look.

He took the map and recalled the places they had passed earlier, saying, ”We aren’t very familiar with this area, but judging by the sect markings, the place you’re looking for should be ahead on the left.”

The elderly man grinned, ”Thank you, young friend.”

The man was about to walk forward when Luo Yirui called him back, ”Grandpa, do you have any food? We haven’t eaten in a long time.”

Hao Rong twitched at the corner of his mouth. What’s this about? Begging? Since when did he have to resort to begging?

The elderly man chuckled, ”Then come with me.” There was food where he was going, which suited them perfectly.

Luo Yirui wanted to know where this suspected Mystic Doctor was heading; perhaps he could gather some information.

The three kids followed the elderly man. After turning a couple of corners, they found the destination and knocked on the door handle.

Soon, a girl in her twenties opened the door. Her lips were red and teeth white. While not spectacular, she was very pleasant to look at.

”Is this Mr. Yu Junpei?” the young girl asked.

The elderly man nodded, laughing heartily, ”Looks like I’ve found the right place! Has the gathering started? I hope I’m not the last one to arrive.”

The girl smiled, ”We’ve been waiting for you; without you, we can’t start. Oh, are these three kids Mr. Yu’s apprentice grandchildren?”

The elderly man glanced back and chuckled, ”I couldn’t find my way here; these three young friends led me. I said I’d treat them to some food, no problem, right?”
