I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 557: Chapter 556: Apology

Zhao Youcai’s mother was somewhat resentful, thinking about reaching out to someone at the Department of Education to pressure the school, forcing the teacher to teach that brat Luo Xuping a lesson. It’s only natural for teachers to discipline students, right? Otherwise, make things difficult for the brat’s family. Outsiders are always easy to bully!

Zhao Youcai’s father was a village official and knew quite a few people, including some at the local Department of Education, so pressuring the school wouldn’t be difficult.

For now, they had to swallow their anger, thinking they would make them pay later!

The three parents wore expressions as if they were letting them off, glared at Beisitian and Luo Xuping, and were about to leave when Beisitian spoke up.

”Wait a moment.”

The three parents stopped in their tracks and turned to look at her.

”You may be satisfied, but our issue hasn’t been resolved.” There was a hint of coldness in Beisitian’s eyes.

”Hey!” Wu Biao glared fiercely, ”We adults are willing to let it go, but you’re still acting up, aren’t you!”

Ignoring him, Beisitian continued, ”Your two children, along with another child, have been putting mental pressure on my brother for a long time. Now, Mr. Wu Biao here first wanted to hit my brother in public, then tried to scare me. I won’t go into that. But the psychological harm you’ve caused my brother—I will file a lawsuit according to the law. Of course, since your children are minors, we will sue the guardians, demanding compensation for my brother’s psychological damages, and we will make a suggestion to the school that my brother should not have to study with such morally delinquent children. We must be responsible for our child’s future, and eliminate any negative influences at the outset!”

Her words left the two students’ parents dumbfounded, and many teachers almost applauded. Luo Xuping’s parent remained calm and collected, speaking with reason and logic, convincing everyone with clear and logical arguments.

”How audacious!” Zhao Youcai’s mother spat on the ground in anger, causing all the teachers in the office to frown in disgust.

Even as she spoke, she was somewhat afraid; to the majority of people, the judicial system is a formidable presence, and many believe that the defendant is always in the wrong. If the case went to court, it would also affect the child’s father.

Wu Biao’s family was an ordinary one. Hearing about going to court left them stunned. They had initially demanded compensation from the school because they thought the other side was easy to bully. If they had been Capital City kids, they wouldn’t have come in the first place. After all, kids fight all the time.

Seeing Beisitian’s firm stance, Yuan Ping realized she was serious and really knew her legal rights and exchanged a look with a teacher nearby. That teacher quietly left the room during the confrontation between the two groups.

Beisitian noticed a teacher leaving the room, probably to find the principal. She didn’t actually want to escalate the situation; she wanted to teach these two parents a lesson, not to bully others easily and to show other students that her family couldn’t be easily bullied without consequences.

Additionally, she wanted Luo Xuping to witness this so he would feel more confident at school in the future and not develop a psychological shadow or become timid because of this incident.

Yuan Ping didn’t want to speak out, as she couldn’t get a word in edgewise. Although at first, Beisitian seemed to be at a disadvantage, she quickly turned the tables with her reasoned arguments, so she didn’t feel the need to intervene.

Since the situation seemed to be escalating, she definitely needed to report it quickly to prevent it from getting out of hand.

Yuan Ping said a few words to ease the tension, preventing the conflict from becoming too intense. Shortly after, the teacher returned and said a few words to Yuan Ping.

”Here’s the thing, our principal is here today and would like to invite the parents from both sides to sit down for tea and a chat. We hope both sides’ parents can come with me to the principal’s office,” Yuan Ping said with a smile.

Zhao Youcai’s mother and Wu Xiao Niu’s parents were naturally willing; they didn’t want it to go to court, which would be embarrassing. It was best if the principal was willing to intervene.

Beisitian had no objections either, so both sides followed Yuan Ping to the principal’s office.

The principal was a man in his forties, somewhat chubby, with a slightly protruding belly, a clean-shaven face, and an ordinary appearance that was easily forgettable.

”Come on in, parents, please have a seat,” Principal Xu Yongguang said with a smile.

Seeing the principal, the parents became more polite, sitting on the black leather sofa while the assistant served tea.

”I’ve heard from the teachers about this matter. It seems everyone has their share of fault. In my opinion, how about we just let it go?” Xu Yongguang tried to mediate.

When others tried to mediate, they could be ignored, but not the principal, because the children still had to attend school, and disrespecting the principal was unwise.

Even Wu Biao was no longer aggressive, speaking more quietly, ”Principal, you see, it’s not us, but them who won’t let it go!”

Xu Yongguang looked at Beisitian, who was the one considering a lawsuit, ”Parent, please calm down. Ultimately, this is a children’s fight. It’s really not that big of a deal. Of course, both sides’ children have made mistakes. What Zhao said was indeed excessive, and we hope the parents can educate him properly. Some words simply shouldn’t be said, and Luo shouldn’t have hit anyone either.”

”Let’s see if there’s a peaceful way to resolve this. Right now, it’s Luo’s parents who are unwilling. Why don’t you tell us what you think?” Xu Yongguang looked kindly at Beisitian.

Beisitian never really intended to file a lawsuit, and seeing the situation unfolding, she said, ”I’m just angry about them bullying. Our child is new here and shouldn’t be bullied like this. I want those two students to apologize to my brother.”

She looked at the two sets of parents who widened their eyes upon hearing this and slowly added, ”That’s my minimal requirement.”

If they refuse, she would truly go through with the lawsuit, and she was not going to step back further.

Xu Yongguang looked at the two students’ parents and said, ”I have a general understanding of how this started, and if we’re talking about faults, indeed your children were initially at fault. Since we’re all here to calmly resolve the issue, we can’t just fixate on others’ faults.”

Although Wu Xiao Niu’s parents looked discontent, they didn’t speak further, and neither did Zhao Youcai’s mother. Right now, they wanted to make Beisitian drop the idea of a lawsuit first, and deal with future issues later.

Seeing their silence, Xu Yongguang took it as acquiescence and looked at the two students. With a sharp glance from their parents, Wu Xiao Niu and Zhao Youcai, holding back tears, stepped forward to apologize to Luo Xuping.

Witnessing this scene had them scared to death.
