I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 825: Chapter 824: Mobilization

Luo Yirui is missing!

Beisitian’s heart trembled violently, just imagining some possibilities made her feel chilled to the bone.

”Don’t worry, Master, maybe he just got lost, the family has already reported it to the police,” Tian Zhi noticed the paleness on Beisitian’s face and trembled in his heart, quickly trying to comfort her.

Beisitian grabbed Tian Zhi and asked, ”Tell me the truth, how long has he been missing?”

Tian Zhi pursed his lips, his eyebrows twitching, and said solemnly, ”Two days and a night...”

When they couldn’t find Luo Yirui for a whole day, the small courtyard became anxious, but because they couldn’t file a report before twenty-four hours, they had to reach out to Beisitian and Luo Xudong, who were on a mission.

However, because the mission was highly confidential, communication was very difficult, and the message only got through now.

”Let’s go back.” Beisitian started to walk outside.

She couldn’t care less if it was a secret mission, she wasn’t originally from the Military Department, and she only signed the confidentiality agreement to assist. If the Military Department dared to stop her, she would have to take a hard stance!

After finding Fang Yushan, Beisitian succinctly explained her purpose, managing her emotions well, not wanting to show too much emotion in front of outsiders.

Fang Yushan looked at this young woman in front of him, trying hard to stay calm but with a trembling voice, fully understanding her feelings as a mother, and immediately said, ”Alright, I will arrange it for you, but because of the confidentiality agreement, we will have two officers accompany you.”

Beisitian was a bit stunned that Fang Yushan agreed so readily, but she nodded slightly, lowered her head, and said, ”Thank you.”

Beisitian immediately headed home.

The small courtyard was now in chaos, Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin searched everywhere, Luo Xuping crouched at the police station’s entrance, and only left angrily after they could finally file a report, while Cheng Tianji, after asking his parents for help, started searching together with Luo Xuping.

Old Wu Yuekai took the two little girls to the Red Painted Courtyard for care and added more manpower to the search.

Qin Xinyu knew that the three children were dearly precious to Beisitian and mobilized the entire family to start searching for the little young master, and the same went for the Wei Family, who knew Beisitian longer. Naturally, they understood better.

Upon learning of this, Tian Heming also mobilized most of the Tian Family to search for Luo Yirui.

Under Cheng ZhenGuo’s influence, the police increased their manpower severalfold to search for him. For a time, it seemed the entire Capital City was searching, with a sense of an impending storm.

When Beisitian returned to the small courtyard, only Little Yu Zhu was at home, sitting on the steps outside, staring at the door. She was left to watch the house; they couldn’t leave it unattended.

Seeing Beisitian, Little Yu Zhu immediately burst into tears, finding a backbone at last.

”Master~” Little Yu Zhu quickly ran to Beisitian, and just by looking at her face, she could tell how anxious she was, quickly recounting the entire situation to her.

Luo Yirui was lost while playing in the alley; neighbors said they saw him walking away with a strange man.

Upon hearing this, Beisitian was filled with rage. How many times had she said not to talk to strangers? How could he be so disobedient!

Beisitian was both angry and anxious; the most pressing task was to find the child. She couldn’t bear for him to suffer any harm.

During the mission, Luo Xudong was unreachable. Even though Beisitian understood this, she couldn’t help but feel a bit resentful at that moment.

Without Luo Xudong, Beisitian thought of finding Zhou Quan. Zhou Quan had Luo Xudong’s trust and held substantial power under him. Hearing the news, Zhou Quan immediately mobilized all available resources to search.

Beisitian also ordered all her people to go all out, determined to find Luo Yirui as quickly as possible. If it took any longer, if they really let those people take him away, it would be too late.

By evening, Mrs. Qin, Luo Anguo, and Luo Xuping all returned; they had walked to many places and went anywhere where there was any mention of a small boy, but they still didn’t find him.

Seeing Beisitian, Mrs. Qin broke into tears, filled with guilt and anxiety.

Beisitian knew it wasn’t Mrs. Qin’s or anyone else’s fault; apart from needing to have someone with the two girls, Luo Yirui often played with the children in the alley...

Thinking about it, Beisitian felt a flash of doubt. The reason she felt at ease letting Luo Yirui play in the alley was that it was full of neighbors and frequent small vendors; there was always someone there, even late at night. If Luo Yirui was truly taken by a stranger, someone would have known, and it was only after Mrs. Qin called him for dinner that they realized he was missing.

But this doubt was fleeting; the neighbors had already provided any clues they could, and asking again wouldn’t help.

The whole family had no appetite for dinner. Gao Ma made simple porridge, but no one drank any, only sighing in frustration.

The first to bring news was Old Wu Yuekai. He hurried to the small courtyard with Li Xuejun. Seeing him, Beisitian couldn’t hold back her tears.

”Don’t cry, girl, we have news.” Wu Yuekai said, taking the lead into the house; outside wasn’t the place to talk.

Upon hearing this, Beisitian’s spirits lifted, and she quickly followed him inside.

In the courtyard, members of the Wei Family, Qin Family, and Tian Family all stood up and looked at them, their eyes lighting up upon hearing there was news.

In the house were Wei Zhongyuan’s brothers, Qin Xinyu and Qin Weisong, Tian Heming and his wife, and two uncles; also present were Desan and Qiao Hongjie.

”We’ve got news; someone saw a van leaving the city yesterday at four in the afternoon. According to the investigation, the van was carrying seven or eight children, all between three to six years old. There’s an eighty percent chance Luo Yirui was in that van.” Wu Yuekai said.

Although they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, the probability was so high it was almost certain. After such an extensive search, they had almost turned Capital City upside down over the past two days, and the people involved likely sensed the pressure, leaving the city quickly.

”Do we know the direction?” Beisitian asked urgently.

Li Xuejun quickly spread a map on the coffee table and said, ”They’re heading this way, likely towards Yonghe Province. We’ve been covertly tracking them and haven’t been discovered yet.”

With a lead, Beisitian had a direction. She blinked away her tears and said, ”I’ll head out now.”

At this moment, Tian Zhi pointed at the map and suddenly said, ”Master, look, according to Captain Li’s words, the place they’re heading is exactly where we came from!”

Beisitian followed his finger and saw it was indeed the case, the exact place they were assisting the Military Department on a mission. Could this be a coincidence?
