I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 817: Chapter 816: This Is Commander Luo’s Wife

Zhan Lanqi came forward, turned on the TV, and inserted a videotape, revealing clear footage of a small orphanage where every adult inside was dead.

The footage on the videotape was reminiscent of a chaotic scene, with blood and corpses everywhere. The causes of death were diverse, clearly not from a single cause.

Even the Mystic Doctors, accustomed to life and death, showed shock at this scene. It was unimaginable that such a horrific massacre could occur in a time of peace!

”This videotape is highly classified, with a confidentiality level of AAA. After watching, please do not spread it verbally or disclose it externally,” Zhan Lanqi’s clear voice resonated in the small meeting room.

”Next is the forensic examination arranged by the public security system for several deceased.” Zhan Lanqi skipped forward through frames, pausing on several people wearing white coats.

The Mystic Doctors are all traditionally trained in Chinese medicine. Although many have knowledge of dissections, few have observed them firsthand, so they frowned at the scene but still watched intently.

Zhan Lanqi, being born from the Mystic Doctor tradition herself, knew that from just this dissection process, the Mystic Doctors present might not grasp much, so she fast-forwarded slightly through the process.

She paused at some crucial frames.

”The intestines of this deceased are completely rotten within the abdomen. The forensic conclusion is that the decay happened very quickly, possibly starting while the person was still alive!” Zhan Lanqi slightly enlarged the image.

In addition to the fresh red blood, the abdomen contained sections of green-black objects with sticky liquid lying inside. Without Zhan Lanqi’s explanation, the audience might not have guessed they were intestines.

”This deceased has a stomach full of these small bugs, completely filling the stomach. When it was cut open, it burst immediately,” Zhan Lanqi restored the image to normal, displaying the forensic dissection process.

Indeed, as Zhan Lanqi described, when the forensic knife cut through, the entire stomach burst open, releasing numerous tiny fly-sized bugs, seemingly dead, but on closer inspection, some still moved occasionally.

While playing this scene, Zhan Lanqi kept her eyes off the screen, unable to bear the sight. Just imagining a stomach full of bugs was too disgusting and horrifying!

”Additionally, this case is quite bizarre. The forensic dissection found all internal organs intact, yet the person was dead, with the cause of death still unknown,” Zhan Lanqi stated.

She pressed the pause button, glanced at Fang Yushan, and seeing him nod, continued: ”These three people are typical cases, completely baffling to forensic experts. The corpses of the three are in the process of being extracted. Once procedures are complete, we respectfully request everyone to accompany us for the examination.”

The remaining deaths have varied causes, but at least the forensic experts found some clues. However, the three people defy verbal explanation, leaving them to specialized departments.

Currently, the Mystic Doctors practically act as forensic experts. The examination is one of the most critical tasks in this mission, finding clues from the corpses is their role. As for execution, it mostly shouldn’t require the Mystic Doctors, unless special circumstances arise.

This footage serves as a warm-up for the Mystic Doctors, hoping that by seeing such a chaotic scene, they will take it seriously and earnestly assist in their mission.

The Mystic Doctors below had already started discussing, clearly also very shocked. Fang Yushan felt this reaction was good. After all, they weren’t soldiers and hadn’t undergone military management, so stirring their enthusiasm was beneficial.

At the front, Lin Yunping and Tian Zhi remained silent, as did Beisitian at the back. The Military Department had always focused on the former two, hoping these special invitees could provide insights and further their mission.

Currently, they didn’t even know who their opponent was, which was too passive.

Neither Lin Yunping nor Tian Zhi commented, and Beisitian even less so. They all waited to see the corpses before speaking. Just watching the footage, while three-dimensional and clear, rash judgments were inappropriate.

The discussions naturally yielded no results. Without seeing the corpses firsthand, no one dared to make casual conclusions, as a wrong judgment could cost more than just their reputation.

With so many Mystic Doctors present, there was an underlying competition; pressure leads to motivation.

Zhan Lanqi glanced at Beisitian sitting at the back, pondered for a moment, then approached Fang Yushan and spoke briefly. Fang Yushan thought for a moment and nodded.

Subsequently, Zhan Lanqi returned to the central position and loudly said, ”Respected seniors, after watching the footage and discussing for quite some time, would you care to share your views or opinions? The final procedures are still in process, so maybe we can brainstorm a direction, providing focus for the autopsy.”

Expressing views and opinions without drawing conclusions was acceptable.

The group was eager to state their views and engage in an open discussion. Zhan Lanqi’s words provided just the opportunity to speak openly.

Zhan Lanqi smiled as she looked below, warmly saying, ”I heard the discussion from the Chen Family just now; why not let seniors from the Chen Family share?”

The Chen Family’s overall strength was not as strong as the Wei Family’s or Qin Family’s. Their main purpose this time was to gain recognition. Being addressed as seniors by those from the Ancient Wood School greatly satisfied the two from the Chen Family.

A fifty-something man with graying hair said, ”We just discussed with the Zhou Family; the case of the deceased with rotting intestines resembles poisoning. If it’s poisoning, the toxicity is unusually rare. Of course, until we see for ourselves, these remain guesses.”

This man, Chen Yang, left room for his judgment.

The named Zhou Family agreed.

The other two cases were left without comment. As for the stomach filled with bugs, could anyone have eaten them? It was unbelievable. Regarding the person with a perfect body yet inexplicable death, an opinion prior to autopsy was even less advisable.

Zhan Lanqi listened with a smile, then shifted her gaze to the last row, saying, ”Doctor Bei, do you have any thoughts? Oh, and I forgot to mention to the General that this Doctor Bei is the wife of our Commander Luo!”

As soon as she finished speaking, Fang Yushan, Zhou Biwu, and other members of the Military Department all turned, curiously examining Beisitian.
