Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1391: Chapter 825: When the Dust Settles (Part 2)

The Female Special Forces Team members, besides their agility and reaction, also require strong stress resistance. If you truly understand your mistakes and want to prove yourself, then you can strive in the next opportunity.

Qin Jianqi’s eyes dimmed: ”The next opportunity? When is the next opportunity?”

”The Female Special Forces Team is somewhat similar in nature to special forces, with the goal of overcoming the inconvenience of having all tasks executed solely by men.

By organizing separately, we hope to break the current military situation dominated entirely by men, providing more development opportunities for female soldiers.

Once training is over, team members will participate in some important tasks. Based on everyone’s overall performance, we will provide a comprehensive evaluation report to decide the next batch’s selection time and lineup.

So, I cannot give you a definite answer now. Everything will depend on the performance of the first batch of team members.”

Luo Ye gave a detailed explanation because she truly believed Qin Jianqi was a talent and didn’t want her to sink into depression.

The original plan for the Female Special Forces Team was to be set up next autumn and officially start training the year after.

However, due to a recent task that suffered less-than-ideal results due to a lack of female team members, an official suggested advancing the plan.

The plan advanced, but the preparations did not. Though similar to special forces, there are subtle differences in some aspects.

After all, with the differences between men and women, treating them as entirely the same would be irresponsible to female soldiers and might lead to a tragedy similar to Hang Menglin’s for a large portion of them.

So, everything is like crossing the river by feeling the stones.

Of course, this is also a good thing, as there are no fixed rules, allowing more personal initiative from Luo Ye and Zhu Hongyu, with fewer constraints.

”Thank you, Major Luo!” Qin Jianqi respectfully bowed to Luo Ye, ”I will undoubtedly be on the next batch’s list of team members!”

”Good!” Luo Ye’s eyes also held a smile. She told her everything, hoping she would understand that soldiers must have their principles. However, she sincerely hoped Qin Jianqi would stand in the Female Special Forces Team through her efforts.

Clearly, Qin Jianqi understood her meaning.

Just at this moment, Qi Yan approached from afar. Relieved of her worries, Qin Jianqi was in a lighter mood and smiled at Luo Ye: ”Earlier, you mentioned that Qi Yan should know my thoughts. Now, I want to verify if your guess is correct.”

”Fine, if I lose, in the future, I can help you with one thing, within principles and my ability. If I win, you must also help me with one thing. Whatever that is, we’ll discuss later.”

”It’s a deal!” Qin Jianqi extended her hand, ”A slap to promise!”

Luo Ye smiled and matched her hand.

With a ”pop” sound, Qin Jianqi secretly shook her hand behind her back, ”Major Luo, I truly admire you. But I assure you, I meant no harm, just wanted you to know I have some skills, though never expected...”

Luo Ye casually grabbed her hand and glanced at it: ”Just slowly massage it, and it’ll be fine. I tend to match one’s strength, and didn’t control well.”

Qin Jianqi was almost in tears, thinking, is the heavens too unfair? Compared to the person before her, she has neither the looks nor the skills; she might as well just crash into a wall.

In fact, Luo Ye’s heart was far from as calm as her face appeared. Earlier, she already saw from Qin Jianqi’s eyes that she probably intended to show off a bit.

However, she also saw that Qin Jianqi didn’t use her full strength, only about 60%, so she too used 60% when meeting her hand.

Before her transformation, 60% of her strength was nothing, but now, her 60% was not something an average person could withstand.

She intended to humble Qin Jianqi, thinking it was reasonable for her to step back a few steps after the clash.

Unexpectedly, Qin Jianqi stood still!

This made Luo Ye slightly regret that Qin Jianqi missed the selection due to emotions. Someone like her would be an absolute ace in the Special Team.

Well, let’s find an opportunity to discuss it later. She couldn’t go back on her word now.

While both were having their own thoughts, Qi Yan arrived close, politely greeting the two, ”Good day, Major Luo, Good day, Qin Commander!”

After returning the greeting, Qin Jianqi suddenly pulled Qi Yan over, startling her. Being acquaintances for so long, they had never been this close before.
