Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 920: Chapter 553: Familiar Faces / Unexpected Investment

”Dad, Mom, this is Hua Rong’s father, Hua Hangyu, this is Hua Rong’s mother, Zhao Xueqian, this is Hua Rong’s sister, Hua Yuan, and this is Hua Rong’s cousin, Li Xue Man.

Uncle Hua, Aunt Zhao, this is my father, Wen Shuzhi, this is my mother, Bai Yanrui, this is my niece, Luo Ye, and this is my nephew, Wen Nan...” As the two families met, Wen Tong made the introductions.

”Hello in-laws, we apologize for the sudden intrusion,” Hua Hangyu spoke first before Mr. Wen could say anything.

Mr. Wen hurriedly replied, ”In-laws, there’s no need for such talk. We are the ones at fault for not visiting you earlier. In-laws, let’s go inside and have a chat.”

Once they entered the living room, before anyone could speak, Hua Yuan pointed at Luo Ye: ”She doesn’t live with the Wen family, does she?”

”Little Yuan!” Hua Hangyu scolded her displeasingly.

”Dad, it’s her who disrespects medical skill. I can’t coexist with her,” Hua Yuan furiously looked at Hua Rong, ”Sis, I told you myself about the conflict between Luo Ye and me. Why didn’t you tell me you know her?”

Hua Rong looked at her sister with a headache, ”Little Yuan, how could I say anything?”

”Little Yuan, don’t make a fuss!” Hua Hangyu apologetically looked at Mr. Wen, ”In-laws, this child is spoiled by her grandparents. Please don’t take it to heart.”

Mr. Wen waved his hand: ”No worries, no worries, Ye’er has her faults too. Ye’er, apologize to your sister.”

Luo Ye stood up politely and said, ”Sister Hua, I’m sorry. I was wrong that day.”

Hua Yuan snorted, frowned, and looked at Mr. Wen: ”Grandpa Wen, I just want to know, will Luo Ye live here from now on?”

Mr. Wen smiled and nodded, ”Yes indeed, Ye’er is part of the Wen family, of course, she will live here.”

Hua Yuan stood up: ”Dad, Mom, I’m going back first. Sis, just to clarify, if Luo Ye is at the wedding, I won’t attend.”

”Little Yuan, stay right where you are!” Hua Hangyu was so angry his face turned green, ”How old are you now? Can you be a bit responsible? It’s quite normal for doctors of your age to be questioned, isn’t it? Besides, Luo Ye has already apologized, what more do you want?”

Hua Yuan looked coldly at Hua Hangyu: ”Dad, you should know very clearly what I hate most since I was young.”

Zhao Xueqian looked seriously at her younger daughter: ”Hua Yuan, if you leave just like that, I won’t have you as a daughter anymore!”

Hua Yuan stubbornly looked at Zhao Xueqian: ”Mom only ever sides with my sister. From childhood until now, have you ever considered things from my perspective?”

Li Xue Man quickly stepped forward and pulled Hua Yuan: ”Sis, I’ve seen how much Aunt adores you. Don’t be stubborn and make it difficult for Aunt. Quickly apologize to Uncle Wen, Aunt Wen, and your brother-in-law, hurry.”

”Why should I apologize? It doesn’t matter if you don’t acknowledge me as a daughter, I’ll go to grandparents. What’s the big deal!” Hua Yuan broke free from Li Xue Man and ran out without looking back.

”Little Yuan!” Hua Rong hurriedly chased after her, feeling regretful. If she had known it would come to this, she should have told her sister about Luo Ye being Wen Tong’s niece.

Sister Hua Yuan was the Hua family’s genius, loved by the elders since she was young, thus she lacked some skills in dealing with people.

That day, while chatting idly with her sister, Hua Yuan mentioned her grudge with Luo Ye, and Hua Rong hesitated for quite a while. Considering her sister’s personality, if she had told her, Hua Yuan would have definitely exerted pressure on their grandparents.

Given the love of the grandparents for Hua Yuan, her marriage with Wen Tong would surely face more hurdles. Finding a man as suitable as Wen Tong made her feel fortunate, so to avoid any unexpected issues before the wedding, she kept Wen Tong and Luo Ye’s relationship a secret.

Besides, she originally thought the chances of Hua Yuan and Luo Ye meeting were quite slim, but who knew, upon her first visit she would run into them...

Watching the two sisters run out, Hua Hangyu laughed awkwardly: ”In-laws, my younger daughter, alas, has truly been spoiled by her elders. Her mother and I want to discipline her but it’s impossible. But don’t worry, Little Rong is not like Little Yuan...”

Old Wen smiled and waved his hand: ”In-laws, I’ve heard from Xiao Tong about Little Yuan, children of the genius type often have personalities quite different from ordinary people, we don’t mind.”

”You’re right, your granddaughter is also a genius-type child, but her personality..., alas, Little Yuan is really a few years behind. There’s no comparison with Miss Luo.” Hua Hangyu said looking at Luo Ye, ”Miss Luo, I apologize on behalf of Hua Yuan. Since she was young, she’s been passionate about medical research and is clueless about dealing with people. Yet her grandparents spoil her, wanting to develop the Hua family’s medical skills. As parents, we’re also at a loss. Miss Luo, please don’t take it to heart.”
