Chapter 735: Progressive Proposal—Legalization of High-Grade Equipment Trading

To not exaggerate, his thoughts determine the future trajectory of Blue Star.

Now he has the qualifications to give opinions on the legality of equipment trade.

Or rather, the entire Blue Star must pay heed to his opinions.

”You know the value of Mythical Equipment; if you obtain something you can’t use, you can sell it to exchange for other resources. As for the legality of trade, leave it to me.”

After clearing the ”Mist Talk” dungeon, Lin Yi received an invitation to the 40th layer of the Descent Abyss dungeon.

Currently, he is aboard Lingyue, en route to the Tombstone Triangle.

The Tombstone Triangle has always been a magical realm where many human technologies fail upon entering its boundaries.

Even after a thousand years, aside from high-level professionals, few humans have ventured into it.

In that sunless place, where the only visible light source is lightning almost 365 days a year, it is impossible to not feel oppressive.

Being chosen for this dungeon, one could only say Lin Yi is unlucky.

The conditions are so harsh that even the high-performance airship Lingyue requires significant time to fly there.

In that pitch-black sea, anything unexpected could happen.

Lingyue’s artificial intelligence needs to plan the route in advance based on feedback from satellites.

Thinking the time is long, Lin Yi decided to express his thoughts. So, he took out the Communication Spirit Crystal and dialed a number.

”Oh, is the sun rising from the west?”

The holographic screen unfolds in front of Lin Yi and his three companions, showing a middle-aged man leisurely sipping tea on his recliner.

”You’re calling me voluntarily. Go ahead, whatever you need help with, I’ll get it done quickly.”

Isn’t this surprising?

The holographic projection shows the highest decision-maker of the Blue Star Professional Alliance, the top authority of Xia, Xu Sheng.

Regardless of strength, in terms of identity, Lin Yi is a member of Xia, logically he should follow Xu Sheng’s command, but no one expected Xu Sheng to be so courteous during the call with Lin Yi.

He even immediately offered to help Lin Yi solve his troubles.

Upon hearing Xu Sheng speak, Nangong Ling and the others did not feel that this extraordinary middle-aged man was the decision-maker of Xia, but rather like Lin Yi’s subordinate.

Xu Sheng’s attitude is not surprising.

To not exaggerate, without Lin Yi, there wouldn’t be the current Xia, so Xu Sheng’s attitude towards Lin Yi is understandable.

”Leader, you’re speaking as if I’m the decision-maker of Xia. However, I do have a thought I want to propose to you.”

Without beating around the bush, Lin Yi directly shared the thought of legalizing high-level equipment trade.

The reason for previously prohibiting high-level equipment trade was due to its potential impact on national balance.

Two War Gods of equal rank could maintain balanced combat power, but if one suddenly acquires powerful equipment, this balance would be disrupted.

With the development of the times, technological progress, and increasingly diverse transport routes, the prohibition of high-level equipment trading was considering national interests, preventing high-level equipment capable of disrupting balances from entering other countries.

Now, the relationships among all of Blue Star’s countries have fully eased, discarding previous discord. It seems the matter of equipment trade should be opened up.

”This decision is of great importance; I cannot reply to you immediately.”

Xu Sheng’s expression reduced significantly at that moment.

If the legal trade is opened, how much powerful equipment will start circulating?

The ranking of War God’s strength might be all shuffled. This major decision indeed cannot be finalized by Xu Sheng alone; another meeting of the Blue Star Professional Alliance is inevitable.

”This matter is beneficial to Blue Star. The consequence of not allowing equipment trade is the massive waste of resources. Hasn’t the overall strength of Blue Star professionals increased significantly? Right now is just the time when resources are lacking. You wouldn’t want foreign enemies invading when I’m not around and defeating you all, with unsuitable equipment all rotting in your hands.”

Silence.

Xu Sheng was silent.

What Lin Yi said is clearly correct.

Blue Star cannot always rely on this young man.

For family, for friends, he must continue to enhance his strength; external training is necessary. When he is not on Blue Star, Blue Star can only rely on its own strength to resist external invaders.

Continuing to adhere to old rules and improving Blue Star’s strength from other aspects can indeed maintain the current state.

But such practices prevent Blue Star from showcasing its full power.

If Lin Yi’s existence is not considered, Blue Star tied with other planets in a war would not have an advantage.

There is no choice; Blue Star’s exclusive equipment enhancement abilities have not been utilized to their fullest, and Blue Star’s capabilities have not been fully explored.

The transformation of the Divine Refining Bureau from an institution within Shenxiao to an official institution is a good start.

The decentralization of the Divine Refining Bureau has, under Xu Sheng’s mobilization, begun to establish branches across Blue Star. Combining this with Lin Yi’s victory over Divine Refining Bureau Director Sun Dachuan as a Mage, Xu Sheng faintly feels that in future Blue Star, high-level equipment enhancement will become mainstream.

Looking across all Blue Star, those who can assemble a complete set of epic equipment are few. If trade is not opened, will professionals only waste resources on mediocre equipment?

Bear in mind, Spirit Crystal ore is a finite resource, consumed completely when absorbed during equipment enhancement, and impossible to retrieve.

”Give me some time; let’s organize an online meeting. Many of Blue Star’s leaders are conservative traditionalists; proposing this to them might be hard for them to accept.”

It took Xu Sheng less than two minutes to organize a nearly global-scale meeting, worthy of being the Alliance Leader of the Blue Star Professional Alliance.

As the proposer of the proposal, Lin Yi was naturally present at the meeting.

The decision-makers from various countries who joined the meeting remotely were initially of normal mood, but upon discovering Xia Dragon God War God was present, without exception, all straightened up in their camera view.

”Everyone is here, I’ll get straight to the point. Today’s meeting concerns an important proposal. Xia Dragon God War God believes there are few decisions that can simultaneously fully utilize resources while enhancing the overall strength of Blue Star professionals, and opening high-level equipment free trade is a preferable way.”

”But considering some of our meeting’s members are part of the old traditionalist group, for...”

Before Xu Sheng finished speaking, a typical traditionalist from Sparta immediately stood up pounding the table.

”Mr. Xu, what are you saying? The saying ’sticking to old rules and perpetuating outdated practices’ originates from your Xia, right? How is Mr. Xu you still being conservative? Who is Mr. Lin? He is Blue Star’s leading figure; there is no doubt about his proposal! Any objections?!”
