I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 726: The Experienced Master and Precision Modern Instruments

Sun Dachuan was thrilled, on one hand, ecstatic about his brother’s rapid advancement in enhancement skills, and on the other hand, Sun Dachuan vaguely felt that he was about to meet the best opponent in history for equipment enhancement.

Seeing through Sun Dachuan’s thoughts, Lin Yi didn’t reveal much about his current strength, instead returning Sun Dachuan’s smile and then continued to seriously swing the hammer.

As the equipment’s forging time increased, the strength of the metal comprising the equipment changed, making it very likely that two consecutive hammer blows couldn’t use the same force, and even a moment’s difference in forging time could cause the equipment’s strength to change significantly.

When enhancing equipment beyond +20, it was already densely covered with cracks inscribed with runes. Although the Enhancer would hammer the cracks closed after completion, how could the freshly repaired cracks be so sturdy in a state of metal fatigue?

Ordinary Enhancers would choose to temporarily stop after reaching this enhancement stage to give the equipment more recovery time for a smooth enhancement.

After this, each enhancement would choose levels 1-3 to enhance the equipment in the most stable way.

At this moment, Lin Yi and Sun Dachuan’s hammering speed slowed down simultaneously.

Their uninterrupted forging technique showcased the demeanor of masters, yet the fact that the equipment became increasingly fragile demanded their attention.

+25, completed in one go.

Both of them achieved this leap almost simultaneously, one after the other.

However, this was not their limit.

The flames on the forging table grew increasingly intense, and the enhanced equipment placed within began to waver and tilt from absorbing too much heat.

To the exaggerated extent that Lin Yi’s hammer on his platform would oscillate slightly when Sun Dachuan’s hammer fell nearby.

In such a situation, not only did the force of opening the cracks become more challenging to control, but even the inscription of runes had to be completed in an extremely short time.

But a master is a master.

Whether it was Lin Yi or Sun Dachuan, at this enhancement stage, they both exhibited extraordinary enhancement skills with ease, especially when inscribing runes, where their proficiency was displayed to the fullest.

Dozens of exquisite runes were engraved at a terrifying speed in an instant, a feat completely impossible for a human to achieve.

Shenxiao, within the headmaster’s office.

The old cat had just purchased a multifunctional robot and had programmed it to pet cats.

At the current stage, the cat-petting session progressed to chin-scratching, making Wanchong Mountain so comfortable that it closed its eyes.

While enjoying it, the office door suddenly swung open.

The sudden noise startled the old cat.

”You, what are you doing, can’t you knock if you have business? What’s so urgent, is the sky falling? Isn’t Lin Yi supposed to be holding it up if the sky falls? Why the rush?”

Being enjoyed while being petted was seen by Lan Ruoxi, causing Wanchong Mountain’s old face some embarrassment, and he immediately scolded Lan Ruoxi harshly.

”Um, headmaster, the sky is not falling, but the matter is indeed about Lin Yi.”

About Lin Yi?

What is there to report about this brat? With his strength and talent, whatever he does is within expectation, right?

”What’s there to say, this brat is a freak, nothing he does is surprising, so what, do you have something to say, did he comprehend another skill?”

If it were about comprehending another skill, Lan Ruoxi wouldn’t bother to report it personally.

”Headmaster, that brat is competing with Sun Dachuan, in an equipment enhancement competition.”

Not many people know that Lin Yi can enhance equipment.

Wanchong Mountain thought there was nothing peculiar about it; he had long known about it.

But Lan Ruoxi’s next words made Wanchong Mountain completely lose his composure.

”They have now enhanced the equipment to beyond +20 in one go. Would you like to see it for yourself?”

What?

Lin Yi enhanced the equipment to beyond +20 in one go!

At this level, how many Enhancers on Blue Star possess such skill?

You know, the last time he met Lin Yi, he could only enhance equipment to +5, and even reaching that level was a struggle.

Hearing this, the old cat couldn’t remain calm, and the cat-petting robot instantly lost its appeal as he jumped up.

”Let’s go, let’s see it now, this Enhancement Skill thing, it can’t be so easily...”

Upon personally arriving at the Divine Refining Bureau, Wanchong Mountain realized how lively the place was.

The competition between Lin Yi and Sun Dachuan had already reached an intense phase.

The enhancement level of the equipment in both their hands had reached the +30 level.

Managing to enhance equipment to this level placed them among the best of Enhancers.

Moreover, they achieved it in one go, the difficulty of which was imaginable.

”What do you say, headmaster?”

Lan Ruoxi, meticulous for many years, finally caught a chance to make Wanchong Mountain squirm.

”Alright, alright, let’s not push it. Others may not understand Lin Yi, but you, Lan Ruoxi, you should. After all, you were his dean for a while, you must know how terrifying his potential is.”

”This Enhancement Skill is indeed difficult for us, but is that brat normal? No, he isn’t. Isn’t it expected that he finds comprehension easier?”

”Let’s watch the match between these two.”

As more temperature was absorbed by the equipment, the main metal began to show signs of melting.

Sun Dachuan, during the hammering process, continuously poured water over the enhanced equipment to achieve the cooling and shaping effect.

The amount and location of the water poured were very particular.

The amount poured depended entirely on the Enhancer’s technique, as equipment at different temperatures required different hammering forces.

But Lin Yi, possessing the Eternal Law, didn’t need to go through such trouble.

He could use Eternal Ice to cool the forging equipment.

By altering the contact area size, he could control the degree of temperature control.

The two presented completely different styles.

Sun Dachuan seemed like a master with heritage from some intangible cultural inheritance, using his hands as a ruler, each hammer blow relying on experience accumulated over the years.

Possessing the Eye of All-Seeing, Lin Yi was the complete opposite.

By observing the metal temperature with the Eye of All-Seeing and cooling with Eternal Ice, his operations were incredibly precise, akin to modern precision machines.

Both were masterful Enhancers, and their contrasting enhancement styles offered completely different experiences, leaving audiences in awe.

It’s still unclear who is superior, but what’s certain is that there is indeed a difference, however slight.
