I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 733: Glimpse of the Three Mythic Sets

Additionally, obtaining a Mythical Equipment selection *1 is enough to make all professionals on Blue Star envious.

Throughout the history of Blue Star, countless challengers have ventured into the Descent Abyss.

When the dungeon layers reach above 50, the difficulty of the dungeons will rise to a whole new level.

The Soul Suppressing level dungeon difficulty is already quite terrifying for ordinary professionals.

But for dungeons above 50 layers, this is already the simplest.

Dungeons over 50 layers have mechanics entirely different from those under 50 layers.

For dungeons below 50 layers, there’s no way to choose the dungeon difficulty; however, under this mechanism, the difficulty of the dungeons is generally not high, and they can basically be cleared by teaming up.

But dungeons over 50 layers, though you can choose different difficulties, each level is quite exaggerated.

Choosing a Soul Suppressing level dungeon can be cleared with the strength of a normal War God, but by clearing a Descent Abyss dungeon of this difficulty, the rewards obtained are mediocre.

Besides, there’s a unique mechanism for Descent Abyss dungeons over 50 layers — you can’t skip layers.

For lower-level Descent Abyss dungeons, your performance when clearing can allow for some skipped levels, but this concept doesn’t exist for Descent Abyss dungeons over fifty layers. No matter how exaggerated or perfect your performance is on the previous layer, you can only proceed one layer at a time.

Additionally, there’s a Soul Purifying difficulty dungeon that few mention.

It’s worth mentioning that for Descent Abyss dungeons over 50 layers, once cleared, it cannot be reversed.

This means that whether it’s Soul Suppressing or Soul Purifying level difficulty dungeons, you can only choose one to clear, and once chosen, regardless of whether you succeed or fail in clearing, you can’t alter your choice.

This is what’s meant by not being able to have both fish and bear’s paw simultaneously.

As for the difference in rewards for clearing these two difficulty levels, Lin Yi has also understood it.

As the most crucial figure on Blue Star, all data on Blue Star is open to Lin Yi.

According to the data, in Xia, there are dozens who have ventured over 90 layers of the Descent Abyss, all War Gods at the Soul Suppressing level.

These powerful War Gods have averaged three pieces of random legendary equipment during their entire descent.

And none have received any selective opportunity.

Xuanyuan Qingcang, who chose all Soul Purifying difficulty, even though he only ventured to the 78th layer of the Descent Abyss, directly obtained six pieces of random legendary equipment, among which one was a selectable piece.

With six pieces of equipment forming a set, if one chooses all Soul Purifying difficulty to completely clear a 100-layer Descent Abyss, the number of random equipment obtained should approach 12 pieces. According to Xuanyuan Qingcang’s drop rate, there should be two Mythical selections among them.

Thus, there is a considerable probability of completing an entire set of Mythical Equipment directly.

Don’t underestimate the difference of just one level between epic and Mythical Equipment, as the equipment at these two levels have a world of difference.

Mythical Equipment, even a single piece, has extremely powerful effects, and each single piece comes with a randomly powerful attribute.

Currently, or Blue Star in total, there are three sets of Mythical Equipment that can be produced.

The first: Time Entropy Demon Set.

According to records, this set of Mythical Equipment has abnormal attributes that manipulate the flow of time and reverse the law of causality.

Lin Yi can’t remember the specific single piece attributes, but the set effect is extremely terrifying.

Two-piece set: Every attack has a 50% chance to trigger a Time Rift, stopping time within 3 meters of the target for 2 seconds (during which only the user can act).

Four-piece set: The user’s skill cooldown speed increases by 300%, but loses 1% maximum Life Value per second. When Life Value is below 20%, automatically triggers ”Time Travel” to restore to full health and reset all skill cooldowns (limited to once per battle).

Six-piece set: Normal attacks and skills carry a curse, dealing 5% of the target’s maximum Life Value as true damage per second for 10 seconds (stackable). If an enemy dies from this effect, their body explodes and freezes nearby enemies’ time for 5 seconds.

Just looking at the effect description, one can feel the abnormality of this set. After some careful thought, the infinite skill loop + time stop field + percentage true damage instant kill effects make it entirely possible for someone to clear the screen alone.

Not exaggeratedly speaking, if this set of equipment is put on a pig, even that pig could possibly carry a team.

The second Mythical set: Infinity Rebounder Set!

According to recorded information, this set has the powerful effect of elemental drawback, using the opponent’s own methods against them, and it’s even stronger than that.

Two-piece set effect: When the user receives any damage, reflects 300% of that damage’s attribute (fire/ice/lightning/poison randomly), and applies the corresponding element’s ”Rebound Mark.”

Four-piece set effect: Each layer of ”Rebound Mark” increases the target’s damage taken from that element by 50% (stackable to 10 layers). When maxed, triggers ”Elemental Annihilation”: clearing marks and dealing mixed elemental damage equal to 50% of the target’s lost Life Value.

Six-piece set effect: The user is immune to all control effects, and each time damage is reflected, summons an ”Elemental Torrent” dealing true damage equal to your maximum Life Value to enemies in a line, and resets the reflection cooldown.

When a tank professional dons this Mythical Equipment, you’ll understand what it means to stand still and reflect damage for instant kills; not to mention the elemental stacking damage increase—it can turn a health tank into a nuclear warhead.

The third set, Void Observer Set’s effect, is even more exaggerated.

This Mythical set focuses on removing presence and probability manipulation.

Two-piece set effect: All of your attacks have a 30% chance to ”Phantom” through the target, dealing 200% ignore defense damage, while making yourself unselectable for 1 second.

Four-piece set effect: Critical strike rate is fixed at 100%, but critical strike damage varies randomly (50%-1000%). Each critical strike has a 10% chance to trigger ”Observer Effect”: directly deleting 50% of the target’s current Life Value (limited to once per BOSS).

Six-piece set effect: Each enemy killed grants a stack of ”Void Mark.” Consuming 5 stacks allows releasing a ”Dimensional Strike,” permanently turning all enemies within a 10-meter radius into images (unable to act, losing 10% Life Value per second).

This is why Lin Yi abandoned the almost completed epic set in favor of choosing the Mythical set.

The strength of enemies from different dimensions varies.

Enemies from higher dimensions can crush everything with strong Power of the Primordial and Divine Power, even overshadowing the effects attached to equipment. Yet once equipped with Mythical Equipment, even if your Power of the Primordial is less than the enemy’s, you can still possess the strength to battle.

Every time the Power of the Primordial negates equipment effects, there’s a consumption. As long as you’re strong enough, it’s possible to fight beyond your level.

With this in mind, Lin Yi couldn’t wait to open his backpack and examine the rewards he obtained from this dungeon.
