I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 96: Chapter 96: Desperate Sprint! Earn 1,000 Credits in One Day!

Hearing Nangong Ling mention the Descent Abyss level 0 issue, Lin Yi perked up his ears.

This was indeed the reason he reported early this time.

”Now that you’ve completed the ranking and are rated C-level, you should be able to make it in time,” Nangong Ling began to analyze for Lin Yi.

”According to the situation for most new students, if after ranking, you’re only at E-level, you have no qualification to compete for the Descent Abyss level 0 special dungeon.”

”If you’re at D-level, the hope is also very slim, because at this level, the number of credits you can earn daily is too limited, and there are too few dungeons you can enter.”

Hearing this, Lin Yi hurriedly asked, ”Miss Nangong, what exactly are the requirements to participate in this special Descent Abyss level 0 dungeon competition?”

Nangong Ling said, ”It’s simple, just two requirements.”

”One is you must have the qualification to participate in Descent Abyss level 0, and at the same time, your rating must be above D-level.”

”The second is you need to spend 1000 credits to register as soon as possible.”

”The highest difficulty special Descent Abyss level 0 dungeon in our academy is named Heart of the Swarm, and both the difficulty and rewards are currently the highest among all Descent Abyss level 0 dungeons discovered on Blue Star.”

”But because of the specialty of this dungeon, every time the dungeon opens, there are only 200 slots available!”

At this point, Lin Yi noticed Nangong Ling’s expression suddenly changed.

She took out her phone and glanced at the time.

Then exclaimed, ”No! I seem to have miscalculated the time!”

”I originally thought you had two days to prepare!”

”But just now, I checked the official announcement from the Academy’s Dungeon Sanctuary, and it seems the Heart of the Swarm will open early!”

”The original expected opening time was a week later, now the expected opening time is... three days later!”

”Then...”

”Registration starts at 8 AM tomorrow, which means you need to earn 1000 credits today!”

”How... how is that possible!”

Upon hearing this, Lin Yi also realized the seriousness of the situation.

Plans can’t keep up with changes.

He didn’t expect the timeframe of a week would be compressed into three days.

Although he didn’t know the difficulty of earning credits, looking at Nangong Ling’s expression, it was clear that in Shenxiao, credits weren’t easy to obtain.

”Miss, how to earn credits, maybe there’s still a chance.”

Nangong Ling grabbed Lin Yi’s hand and walked out of the treasure circulation area, heading in a certain direction along the way.

”Let’s talk as we walk.”

”There are three main ways to obtain credits.”

”Rating daily rewards include credits, and for a C-level rating, you get 50~100 credits per day. The higher the rank, the more credits you receive.”

”But through this way, you certainly can’t get 1000 credits.”

”Next is tasks.”

”Our academy’s task hall publishes hundreds or even thousands of quests daily, from helping with finding things to eliminating specific targets, or going to certain places in Xia to manage crisis events, with a vast array of task types.”

”The harder the task, the more credit rewards you’ll get.”

”But most high-difficulty tasks have long durations, and you don’t have enough time for them!”

”Finally, there’s clearing dungeons.”

”Every time you clear a dungeon, you’ll be rewarded with 20~50 credits, depending on the difficulty of the dungeon.”

”With your current C-level rating, the highest difficulty dungeon you can tackle is the Sky Temple, granting 25 credits per clear.”

”You still have 10 entries for dungeons today, and all together, that’s only 500 or so credits...”

”What should we do...”

Nangong Ling furrowed her elegant brows.

It was clear she was genuinely worried for Lin Yi.

Nangong Ling bit her lip, finally pulling Lin Yi to a secluded area to speak: ”Freshman, I’ll give you 500 credits now, but don’t tell anyone about this.”

”You can pay me back once you’ve earned enough credits.”

Lin Yi could guess what this senior was implying.

”Miss, if I’m not mistaken, trading credits among each other in our academy is strictly prohibited, right?”

Nangong Ling was momentarily startled, then nodded: ”Yes, because it involves graduation and assessment. Allowing credit trading is tantamount to cheating.”

”But although it’s prohibited on the surface, the private trading of credits is too widespread.”

”Don’t worry, Freshman, as long as you don’t say anything, it will be fine.”

Lin Yi shook his head: ”If discovered, there will definitely be repercussions, right?”

”Moreover, credits are recorded in the Spirit Crystal System, and if found out, it would be direct evidence.”

”Miss Nangong, although we just met today, thank you truly for your kindness.”

”I can’t let you take such risks.”

”Let’s think of another way.”

”If it’s really not possible, I can choose other slightly less difficult dungeons or even wait half a year, it’s no problem.”

Lin Yi wasn’t selfish enough to risk others getting in trouble for his gain.

Besides, if discovered, he surely wouldn’t escape punishment himself.

”Alright... I was too hasty just now.”

”Indeed, if discovered, Freshman you’d just entered, and there’s a risk of expulsion...”

”Bah, bah, bah! It’s my fault!”

Lin Yi didn’t mind Nangong Ling’s lapse.

Instead, he continued along the lines of her previous thought: ”Miss, you mentioned the third way of obtaining credits was clearing dungeons.”

”Besides clearing the dungeon, is there no other way to earn credits?”

”For example... breaking a dungeon record?”

With Lin Yi’s reminder.

Nangong Ling’s eyes lit up.

But they soon dimmed again.

”That’s a good idea, but it’s too difficult!”

”Breaking a dungeon record can get you 10 times the credits of just clearing the dungeon.”

”Using the Sky Temple as an example, if you break the record, you’ll get 250 credits.”

”But breaking a record isn’t that easy!”

”The Sky Temple dungeon has existed for over a hundred years.”

”In the past century, countless Shenxiao students have cleared it, and the record has long been set to a nearly unbreakable state.”

”The dungeon’s maximum entry level limit is 60, so I can’t even ask my friends to enter with you and clear it together.”

”Nuwa Academy’s new semester hasn’t officially started yet, and most at your level who could team up with you are still on summer break...”

”Sigh...”

Nangong Ling started sighing again.

Lin Yi, however, was already at ease.

Knowing that breaking dungeon records yields credit rewards.

Made this issue much easier to handle.

”Miss, it’s okay, I don’t need to team up, I can solo it.”

”Where is the dungeon you mentioned, the Sky Temple? I want to give it a try.”
