I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Specializing to Tier 9, Descent Abyss Begins!

Lin Yi wasn’t surprised that his talent had unlocked a new function again.

Skill Specialization Points can now also be acquired through auto-battling.

Meanwhile, specialization points can also be purchased with money.

And the first purchase only costs 10,000 Xia coins!

Great!

It seems like I won’t need to specifically allocate dungeon runs to farm skill and specialization points anymore.

Both auto-battling and spending money can get me what I need.

I just wonder how many specialization points and breakthrough magic crystals are needed to specialize a skill to level 9?

Thinking of this, Lin Yi opened the skill interface.

He selected the skill he currently wanted to specialize in the most.

[Tier Six Thunder - Thunderbolt Flash]!

This skill is an extremely useful movement skill. If the cooldown could be reduced, without a doubt, it would be very handy for future travel or dodging some attacks.

[To specialize Thunderbolt Flash to level 1, it requires: 100 specialization points, 0 breakthrough magic crystals. Proceed to specialize?]

Lin Yi raised an eyebrow.

It only takes 100 specialization points to elevate from specialty level 0 to 1.

Lin Yi spent 10,000 Xia coins.

He directly purchased a batch of specialization points.

[For 10,000 Xia coins, you have obtained 97,632 specialization points!]

Then, Lin Yi chose to specialize Thunderbolt Flash.

[By consuming 100 skill specialization points, your Thunderbolt Flash specialization level has increased!]

[Here are the changes to the skill:]

[Skill base damage increased, skill speed damage bonus increased!]

[Consumption: 15,000 Mana → 14,000 Mana]

[Cooldown: 10 minutes → 8 minutes]

[Maximum blink distance: 100 meters → 150 meters]

[Dodge effect duration: 0.3 seconds → 0.4 seconds]

Lin Yi’s eyes widened.

What a significant improvement!

It seems like I was short-sighted before, thinking that the only way to make skills stronger was by upgrading them to higher tiers.

Now, it appears that specializing in a skill also has considerable advantages over upgrading in certain situations.

Lin Yi continued to allocate points.

He gradually discovered a pattern.

That is, the specialization points required for specializing are not as terrifying as the skill points needed for skill upgrading.

For example, upgrading from six to seven.

The upgrade requires a full 100,000 skill points.

Yet, specializing from six to seven only costs 50,000 specialization points.

Half the amount needed for skill upgrade points.

However, starting from the third specialization level, progressing through four requires breakthrough magic crystals.

Fortunately, the breakthrough magic crystals needed are still within an acceptable range.

The breakthrough crystals needed for levels 4 to 6 are 1, 3, and 5, respectively.

Going from level 6 to level 7 bumps the crystal requirements to 10.

Lin Yi’s previous stock plus the breakthrough crystals obtained from daily supplies have been depleted.

After pondering for a moment, Lin Yi cleared the Doomsday Siege dungeon.

Then he went to the Treasury Exchange of Shenxiao.

From the credits he earned yesterday, he exchanged 1,000 points for 50 breakthrough magic crystals.

He also spent over tens of thousands of Xia coins to purchase ten days’ worth of specialization point rewards.

Lin Yi opened the skill interface to continue allocating points.

[By consuming 50,000 skill specialization points and 10 breakthrough magic crystals, your Thunderbolt Flash specialization level has increased to LV.7!]

[By consuming 250,000 skill specialization points and 25 breakthrough magic crystals, your Thunderbolt Flash specialization level has increased to LV.8!]

At this point, Lin Yi was stuck again.

It wasn’t due to lack of specialization points.

But rather a shortage of breakthrough magic crystals!

Specializing to level nine requires 100 breakthrough magic crystals!

Lin Yi was a bit stunned.

No wonder these things have become almost as valuable as skill point scrolls, tightly controlled by the state.

Just because their consumption might be larger than I imagined.

Lin Yi gritted his teeth.

breakthrough magic crystals would cost 2000 credits.

Exchange them!

After all, credits can be earned back later.

Today, he was determined to push this skill to specialization level nine.

[By consuming 500,000 skill specialization points and 100 breakthrough magic crystals, your Thunderbolt Flash specialization level increased to LV.9 (MAX)!]

Lin Yi opened his skill interface to check the Thunderbolt Flash post specialization level nine.

[Thunderbolt Flash]

[Type: Active Skill]

[Tier: Tier Six]

[Specialization Level: LV.9 (MAX)]

[Attribute: Thunder Attribute]

[Consumption: 1,000 Mana]

[Chanting Time: None]

[Cooldown: 10 seconds]

[Effect: Transform into lightning, granting yourself an extremely fast acceleration and perform a space flicker. In a short time after the flicker landing, your next normal attack’s power increases.]

[Maximum Flicker Distance: 3000 meters]

[Flicker Speed: Depending on the environment, the maximum speed can increase to the speed of light.]

[Upon flicker initiation and flicker landing, gain 1.5 seconds of 100% dodge effect.]

[Note: Have you ever been kicked by the speed of light?]

Lin Yi’s eyes brightened.

Damn, is this skill still the same Thunderbolt Flash as before??

All the pain points are resolved!

Previously high consumption, long cooldown, short distance.

Specialization improvements fully optimized these three points.

Now a flash every 10 seconds, at any point within a 3-kilometer range, at near-light speed.

The skill’s usability is unimaginable for Lin Yi.

Short-legged melee professions might even cry with envy.

...

Three days later.

In the early morning.

Dungeon Sanctuary, underground level one.

Before a massive stone gate, seemingly made from unknown materials, Lin Yi and the other 99 participants in this Descent Abyss layer 0 dungeon, stood ready.

In these three days, Lin Yi saved all his dungeon runs.

There’s no need to run the skill specialization dungeons for now, naturally saving these runs for after he clears the Descent Abyss layer 0 to unlock levels and further progress his class, then he’ll look into them.

Lin Yi focused on meticulously studying the Heart of the Swarm dungeon strategy.

After all, it is currently one of Blue Star’s most difficult Descent Abyss layer 0 dungeons, and he must take it seriously.

Screech——

The stone door, carved with countless bizarre patterns and symbols, suddenly opened a crack!

The next moment!

A chill capable of freezing one’s soul blew out from behind the door.

Causing all the Shenxiao students present to shiver.

Abyssal aura...

And it’s notably thick abyssal aura!

This abyssal aura is far colder and more intense than any Lin Yi encountered in any surface level dungeon before!

”Everyone, pay attention!”

”The Descent Abyss dungeon is about to open!”

”You only have a 1-minute window to enter the dungeon!”

”Move quickly!”

Several high-ranking instructors from the five major academies, with solemn expressions, instructed Lin Yi and the others.

”Also, remember!”

”Once you enter this dungeon, if you’re lucky enough to meet others, try assembling a team to tackle the dungeon together!”

”You are all from Shenxiao, I don’t care if you’ve had any grievances from competitive rating fights before, but inside the dungeon, please unite and act as one!”

”What you will face is the entire swarm!”
