I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 149: Chapter 149: Forbidden Curse Layer Passive! Divinely Bestowed True Word!

”Hold on, just a moment.”

”Now it’s the final stage of +15.”

Sun Dachuan stared intently at the Silence Gloves in the forge and spoke to Lin Yi.

Seeing him drenched in sweat, Lin Yi felt a bit moved.

No matter what, he couldn’t let Sun Dachuan lose out today.

”Oh, I forgot to ask for your armor and jewelry earlier. I could strengthen them for you as well.”

Professionals on Blue Star can wear a total of 12 pieces of equipment.

One weapon, five armor pieces, four pieces of jewelry (earrings, necklace, two rings), and two badges.

All of this equipment can be enhanced.

Naturally, Sun Dachuan intended to just help Lin Yi enhance everything to +10 quickly.

Lin Yi was somewhat embarrassed.

He was currently wearing the Platinum-level Eternal Rest Set.

Platinum level was not eligible for enhancement.

”Ahem, no need.”

”Because I haven’t had a chance to farm the other equipment yet...”

Lin Yi felt he had been ridiculously busy lately.

He initially reported to Shenxiao early, planning to farm the Descent Abyss dungeon, then take a break.

Who knew that moving from third-tier to fourth-tier would keep him constantly busy until now.

He started getting competitive too.

Determined, Lin Yi decided that once this task was done, he’d take some time to rest.

No more overworking.

But right now, with this somewhat risky A-level task in front of him, Lin Yi hurried to increase his combat power.

Sun Dachuan was not surprised as he said, ”Finding a suitable set of equipment takes a long time. What you have on now should be temporary.”

”There’s really no need to enhance that. Once you find a set, come look for me!”

Sun Dachuan took the Silence Gloves out of the forge.

And put them into a special cooling quenching liquid.

Sizzle sizzle sizzle...

Amid the billowing steam, Lin Yi saw a brilliant golden light emerge, making the entire forge look resplendent.

”Alright, take it!”

After it completely cooled, Sun Dachuan handed the enhanced Silence Gloves back to Lin Yi.

Lin Yi took a look.

They were indeed successfully enhanced to +15, with three slots opened!

”Thanks a lot, Mr. Sun!”

”How many Spirit Crystals did it take to enhance to +15? I can’t let you supply the materials for free.”

Sun Dachuan waved his hand: ”Just six or seven hundred. I’m skilled, so material wastage is low.”

”No need to fuss over such small materials.”

Gee, Mr. Sun only needed six or seven hundred top-quality Spirit Crystals to get to +15, while the guys at the Divine Forging Bureau started at 2999, clearly showing the massive profit margins involved.

However, Lin Yi thought that if a +15 was guaranteed, then 2999 top-quality Spirit Crystals was indeed a reasonable price...

Seeing that Sun Dachuan didn’t intend to take the Spirit Crystals he gave and seemed about to get annoyed,

Lin Yi had to stop insisting.

After chatting a bit more and expressing his gratitude again, Lin Yi left the forging room.

He found the young attendant he saw before.

Quietly slipped him 2000 top-quality Spirit Crystals.

”Sir... what does this mean...?”

”This is for Mr. Sun, but don’t say it’s from me. Just say it’s a tip from someone who came to strengthen their equipment today.”

”Ah... alright! Thank you!”

The attendant’s face fell.

For a moment, he thought it was a tip for him from Lin Yi...

But it turned out he was overthinking it.

However, the next moment, Lin Yi took out another ten top-quality Spirit Crystals and slipped them into his hand, saying, ”Consider this your tip. I have a good relationship with Mr. Sun. If he doesn’t receive those 2000 Crystals, or if the amount is short, you know the consequences.”

The attendant felt a chill in his heart at his words.

He did indeed have some sneaky thoughts just now.

But after receiving the tip and being warned, he nodded vigorously.

After leaving the Divine Forging Bureau,

he returned to his residence, and it was already dark outside.

He felt a bit exhausted.

Lin Yi didn’t feel like going out anymore.

Hungry, he used his phone to order food delivery from Shenxiao’s restaurant.

In no time, the delivery arrived, and Lin Yi devoured it, filling his stomach, then started doing his calculations.

Now he had a method to consistently generate a large amount of Xia currency.

No need to be stingy anymore.

Spend when needed, and earn more when it’s gone.

Purchasing one batch of idle rewards, considering Lan Ruoxi’s buffs and title bonuses, he could earn 100,224 skill points.

Considering a ten-time combo purchase, which gives an extra day, he could accumulate 1,102,464 skill points.

This was more than enough to upgrade one skill from Tier Eight to Forbidden Curse.

However, with multiple purchases, Xia currency increases incrementally.

The cost in Xia currency was over 1.89 million.

Hmm...

At this incremental rate,

a thirty-time purchase would cost around 6 million Xia currency, but he could gain over 3 million skill points.

Now with a balance of over 11 million Xia currency, he calculated it was enough to buy at least fifty batches of skill points.

Enough!

More than enough!

So now he should think about which skills to upgrade.

Lin Yi first considered several passive skills.

Being the current core of his combat power, instant cast was incredibly important to Lin Yi now.

In real combat, even an extra second to cast or a late move carries huge risks.

So Holy Spirit Chant must be upgraded to Forbidden Curse!

What about Mana Tide?

Upon reflection, after obtaining the Hand of Silence and receiving significant attribute boosts, his current mana was already sufficient to cast a Forbidden Curse completely.

Even when socketing three Forbidden Curse skills, his mana would surpass 2 million.

Considering the mana savings effects, it’s sufficient for casting three Forbidden Curse skills, and he only needs to activate the climax state with a few seconds interval to recover a million-level mana value.

Alright, this one can wait for now.

Elemental Absorption, a lifesaving skill.

But Lin Yi currently felt his lifesaving options were already numerous after gaining the Immortal Fruit.

Let’s delay this too.

Elemental Transformation.

This is an ultimate damage-adding skill, currently only Tier One, so let’s set it to Tier Eight first!

Passive skills done.

Lin Yi turned to the six elemental magics he currently mastered.

The Fire and Thunder elements were already Forbidden Curse, no need to consider them.

The Wind element was only at Tier Seven, perhaps consider raising it to Tier Eight to see the improvement.

Let’s forget it.

Currently, the Wind element really doesn’t have much use, and the Ice element’s Forbidden Curse is likely control-focused, so let’s look at the Necromancy and Gravity elements instead.

Finally, Lin Yi made a decision.

No matter what, let’s go all-in!

With thirty-time purchases, Lin Yi’s assets decreased by 5.84 million.

Meanwhile, his skill points balance surged to nearly 4 million.

Opening the skill tab, he selected Holy Spirit Chant and began upgrading!

[Upgrade passive skill: Holy Spirit Chant to Tier Nine, requires 1 million skill points, do you want to proceed with one-click upgrade?]

[Consuming 1 million skill points, your passive skill Holy Spirit Chant has advanced, you’ve acquired a new passive skill: Heavenly Bestowed True Words!]
