Bear School Astartes

After a moment of chaos and panic, Maria swallowed hard, barely maintaining her usual indifferent and calm facial expression.

”So, this is what you meant...” Maria slowly stood up from the chair, her long legs clad in knee-high boots, and politely pressed the tricorne hat she held in her hand against her chest.

The female hunter looked at Lann with a speechless gaze.

”’The atmosphere here is nice, such things rarely happen’...right?”

Lann, already pressed onto the bed, could only raise one hand.

”Wait! I can explain, this really doesn’t happen often! Rita, maybe you could get off for a moment?”

Earlier, when Lann’s neck was locked from behind, it was easy to tell who it was.

Considering Margaret’s penchant for tricks, using magic to eliminate footsteps and scents to sneak up for a surprise attack was entirely expected.

So to avoid injuring the Headmistress of Airetusa with his increasingly ’human weapon-like’ physique, Lann had to comply with her weak physical strength, allowing himself to be pulled onto the bed.

Then... it could only be said that the female warlock was indeed highly infected and transformed by the Chaos Magic Power.

Margaret’s swift and agile movements exceeded the imagination of ordinary people.

After pulling Lann onto the bed, she nimbly flipped over and sat on the demon hunter’s waist.

Looking down at the demon hunter, with a bit of impatience, she licked her lips and uttered the outrageous statement from before.

This reaction from Margaret couldn’t really be blamed.

Because the exquisite doll dressed in the maid outfit by the window display had indeed vanished, while Maria, who looked identical to the doll except for the slight difference at the finger joints, was sitting properly on the chair.

The Yan’an Hunter’s professional, calm, indifferent expression truly resembled the doll.

Gremman’s craftsmanship, infused with obsession, made the doll incredibly lifelike.

Meanwhile, Adeline, whom Lann had brought back, was down at the small dock enjoying the natural ocean and the beautiful, noble [Phantom Beast] Qilin.

From that vantage point, no people could be seen.

So in Margaret’s eyes, the situation seemed exactly like a doll with a change of clothing being presented.

It’s hard for her not to think this is some sort of ’fun’ play Lann engaged in upon returning.

She even felt a bit delighted initially, sensing her little lover was finally starting to awaken in the realm of intimacy.

However, shortly after, Maria, initially stunned by the overwhelming influx of information, finally produced the sound of a living person in the next moment.

This was Maria’s instinct urging her shocked body to make a sound in the face of an urgent situation.

Then, from below, Lann watched as the aggressive Margaret suddenly let out a gasp after the ’doll’ made a sound.

Her previously aggressive movements suddenly froze.

But in the next instant, the female warlock seemed to realize something.

Her previously rigid expression suddenly relaxed, her seductive eyes narrowed, and she gave a meaningful smile, glancing at the demon hunter signaling her to get off.

With a swirl of her flowing clothes, Margaret stood up naturally from Lann’s waist as if nothing had happened.

It was clear that the Headmistress of Airetusa seemed to have no other engagements or plans tonight and had changed into her nightgown early.

She wore a close-fitting silk camisole under a wide silk nightrobe due to needing to hurry to the secret cave.

Arriving in a hurry, she hadn’t even tied the belt or fastened the ties.

Yet, even with the loose-fit silk robe swirling in the wind, its draping texture couldn’t completely conceal Margaret’s perfect figure.

The bright red silk colors were flamboyant to the point of being gaudy, but Margaret could always effortlessly manage the bright makeup and vivid colors that others couldn’t handle.

These decorations simply made her appear even more enchanting and alluring without overshadowing her innate charm.

”I really apologize.” The female warlock said with a smile to Maria while using Lann as a support to stand up, ”I didn’t expect Lann to bring a guest home.”

She tightened the robe that was open due to the absence of a belt or ties, making the wide silk fabric cling to her body, outlining an astounding curve.

Margaret’s physique was attractive even to women, but Maria still responded with the professional composure of a Yan’an Hunter.

She pressed the tricorne hat against her chest and nodded slightly.

This was the standard etiquette when wearing a hat.

In Yan’an, where the era background had evolved into ’not wearing a hat is not decent,’ such etiquette was naturally present.

However, Margaret wasn’t very familiar with this, as the etiquette in Yan’an surely differed from the Magical Middle Ages.

Despite looking casual and unconcerned normally, Margaret was ultimately still the Headmistress of a Female Warlock Academy.

Though not knowledgeable, the etiquette didn’t seem formal or solemn, resembling polite greetings.

Thus, the female warlock warmly approached and patted Maria’s arm, leading her towards the table.

Ordinary actions, yet they contain some subtle hints.

Only those who occupy a proactive and guiding role in a relationship can respond calmly in this manner after the other party greets them. If someone not in such a position tries to do this, it comes off as rash and rude.

Margaret is the dean of the Airetusa Academy beneath their feet, equivalent to the host of the house.

Despite looking young and alluring, she has lived for at least over a hundred years.

The main point is... her naturally intimate gesture with Lann earlier.

These factors allow Margaret to naturally gain the upper hand in guiding her interaction with Maria.

Like welcoming a guest visiting her home for the first time, Margaret gracefully invites Maria to sit back down.

The cold and dashing female hunter and the alluring and charming female warlock.

The two sat across from each other at the round table by the display cabinet, appearing harmonious for a moment.

However, Maria was still a bit dazed.

She found it hard to imagine how Margaret, who had just performed such an awkward act in front of her, now shows no trace of it.

Undoubtedly, the female hunter from Yan Nan is still unfamiliar with the conduct of female warlocks.

In Margaret’s view, there was nothing to be ashamed of.

None of them are naive children; romantic relationships between men and women are perfectly normal.

But looking at the two charming women sitting face to face, Lann scratched his head silently from where he sat up from the bed.

”I always feel like you’ve misunderstood something, Rita.”

”Misunderstood? Just a bit surprised.” Margaret casually draped her arm over the chair back, turning to Lann with a smile.

Not caring at all about how much her fitted short nightgown could actually cover in this position, accentuating her striking curves.

”Surprised you actually brought someone over only now.”

”Firstly, it’s two people.” Lann raised a hand to correct Margaret’s mistake, then sighed, ”Second, I brought them here because they need help.”

”Two?”

Margaret blinked.

Just then, Adeline, who had been downstairs, also appeared after noticing the activity from the raised platform at the small dock.

Seeing the boldly dressed and confident Margaret, she hesitated for a moment, but quickly guessed Margaret’s identity given the unmistakable presence of the female warlock’s aura as the mistress.

”Are you... Mr. Lann’s beloved?”

Adeline spoke cautiously.

But as soon as the words left her mouth, even though Adeline was usually simple-minded within the Healing Church and hadn’t noticed any issues in the research hall until the last moment.

She immediately knew she was right now.

Because the golden-haired exotic beauty who was initially surprised at her suddenly showed an immensely warm and enthusiastic expression.

”Since they’re guests who need help, why didn’t you say so earlier?”

Margaret immediately stood up from her chair, turning to jab Lann lightly mid-stride with a smiling gaze.

The Demon Hunter pursed his lips, raising his arms in surrender.

Indicating ’I surrender, don’t say any more’.

”Come on.” Margaret tightened the broad neckline of her robe, folding her arms such that they just pressed against her chest, ”Whenever he returns, he’s accustomed to having a drink first to mark the end of a journey.”

”Since there are guests this time, let’s do it together.”

Margaret stood at the stairway leading upwards from the secret cave, extending an inviting hand to Maria and Adeline with enthusiasm.

The two outsiders from Yan Nan found it hard to refuse; they were originally invited by Lann to solve a problem, so they had no reason to decline.

Thus, Maria simply stood up, pressed her hat to her chest, nodded at Margaret, and walked up first.

Adeline followed behind, receiving an even warmer smile from the hostess as she passed Margaret.

Having a meal together after returning through the Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift has become a regular activity for Lann since he came back to Airetusa.

Although he has forgotten when it started, he did not object to it.

Holding a banquet as a marker for the end of a journey provides a noticeable psychological cue for relaxation.

But this time...

”If you handled academy affairs as diligently as hosting guests now, I think Tishaya’s complaints about you would diminish significantly, dear dean.”

Rising from the bed, Lann slightly adjusted his collar that had been pulled earlier and leaned closer to Margaret while passing to whisper teasingly in her ear.
