Bear School Astartes

Increasing the speed of blood flow could not allow Lann to survive.

But it could let the small portion of fresh blood he had just produced operate more efficiently.

This provided Lann with some strength.

Allowing him to stretch his hand toward the alchemy pouch at his back.

As if performing surgery on himself, Lann first drank a bottle of [Advanced Swallow], and placed two bottles of [High-grade Pure White Rapha] by his kneeling legs.

These are the most effective restorative magic potions for Demon Hunters.

With the properties of [High-grade Pure White Rapha], it can basically revive a nearly-dead Demon Hunter.

The Moon God continued to watch quietly, without any ripples.

Even though trapped in the material realm and never having seen them before, with just one glance, the ’vision’ of the Ancient God saw through the effects of these potions.

They were useless.

Restorative magic potions restore the body to normal, not create an extra volume of blood from nothing for an already normal body.

That would make a person burst.

Unable to escape the ’modulated’ blood, nothing would change.

But immediately following, the thing Lann took out from the alchemy pouch finally elicited a reaction from the always tranquil, broken body of the Moon God.

That bizarre face looked up in astonishment.

”Hiss~”

The broad sword blade, not particularly sharp, scraped against the leather pouch’s mouth as it was drawn out, producing a distinctive scraping sound.

Under this blood-red moonlight, the strength of the Demon Hunter had already been weakened to its limit, even breathing required extra focus on those few chest muscles, struggling like an old accordion to inflate.

The dark sword blade, the sharp sword edge... [Muddy Stream·Destruction]!

This greatsword was put into cold storage by Lann ever since he realized he had returned to Yan’an, afraid to let it cut anything that might dilute the blood of Yan’an!

At this moment, Lann lacked even the strength to fully draw out the sword.

The alchemy pouch was casually tossed at his legs, and the greatsword drawn out only revealed its hilt and about a meter of its distinctively black-and-white hefty blade, unable to be pulled out any further.

”Thud!”

A muffled sound as the small section of the greatsword’s revealed blade pressed down on white flowers and slammed onto the ground.

Savage, violent aura, even if only a part of this greatsword was exposed, the momentum had already fully burst out!

Like a fierce, insatiable beast ready to gnash its teeth and suck blood, waiting for the prey to appear, ready to pounce and bite without hesitation!

Hands that could once easily wield the greatsword, now could only lay limply beneath its hilt, even dragging Lann’s shoulder down.

The young Demon Hunter, with a pale face, gasped, trying several times to grip the hilt beneath his hand.

But after a fine, shivering sound from the hand armor’s armor plates, it was to no avail.

Mentos knew what the main body’s intention was.

He wanted to activate the [Combat Skill: Residual Fire] on this greatsword.

To allow the [Residual Fire] to burn away the flowing blood! Get rid of the blood modulated by the Moon God.

But now, Lann struggled even to grip the sword, unable to make the effort to squeeze the hilt to release the blazing, silent flames beneath the sword’s shell... he was entirely powerless to do so.

Mentos was also unsure of what to do now.

But the biochemical brain was positioned as a ’learning assistance device’ precisely because when it did not know what to do, it was the moment for human self-will to manifest!

Lann let out a long sigh.

”Ah~”

Then, he shook off the hand armor from his other hand, bowed his head, and pulled out the Lady of the Lake’s Sword still lodged in his chest cavity!

With his movement, the initially powerful but slowing blood flow suddenly surged out even more violently!

Spraying onto the dark blade of [Muddy Stream·Destruction]!

In an instant, this ravenous and thirsty greatsword didn’t care where the flesh and blood entering its mouth came from.

Immediately, the fresh blood pumped from Lann’s heart into the external body began to disappear on the dark blade and bone-white edge, merging into it.

Like corrosive black fog flickering with red electrical sparks, [Dragon Attribute Energy], began to emerge with ’thatzz zzzz’ as the greatsword started to intake nutrients.

Meanwhile, as Lann’s blood modulated by the Ancient God came into contact with [Muddy Stream·Destruction], a greatsword akin to a living entity, a peculiar atmosphere began to permeate from the greatsword.

Faintly indistinguishable, different from [Dragon Attribute Energy], like a dream realm, white mist began to vaguely...

”Klang!!!”

Suddenly! A sound like a late church bell explosion echoed from the greatsword!

In the past, such a noise only occurred when the fierce greatsword slew something.

But today, the sound came from Lann’s fist, bared of its hand armor, directly pounding onto the blade!

”Don’t feed, burn it off for me!”

Lann said calmly, and the biochemical brain in his mind dared not speak anymore.

But on the dark blade, the blood continued to disappear.

”Klang!!!”

The second strike.

”Don’t feed, burn it off for me!”

Lann still spoke calmly, but where his fist landed, a dense black smoke, flickering with blood-red sparks, encased his hand!

The skin, unprotected by armor, instantly turned cracked, shrinking and peeling from his hand.
