Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 598: The Warmth of Understanding Wives

A thick, misty haze spread through the room after hours of passionate fornication. Nikolai leaned against the headboard, with both Kumiko and Amphitrite lying against his chest with their eyes half closed, barely able to keep themselves awake.

Nikolai’s lips curved as he somehow craved a cigarette, despite not smoking. The slight throbbing ache in his thighs and lower back was a testament to how hard he worked during the night to please these bottomless pits.

’To bring an Ancestral Realm Hybrid to this state... Bravo, my wives.’

He stroked both of their cheeks while leaning back. Thanks to their service and kindness, Nikolai learned more about himself and where his feelings stood. He adored these women enough to sacrifice his body and wealth, but he also wanted to value himself.

He was no longer just living for them.

The priorities he’d focus on were his future, his children and his own strength. Although he wouldn’t stop giving his love and time to his women, Nikolai understood that his own feelings needed to come first.

’Well, I can still treat them like this.’ He mused while curling Kumiko’s silky blonde hair around his fingertip. ’It’s cute watching them attempting to help me relax and smile.’

Nikolai didn’t plan to do much today.

He’d already arranged all his tasks as the patriarch during the hospital stay, finishing in the early hours of the morning before the date. Most probably, the reason both women were happy was that they had a small picnic with him.

”Nn~”

Kumiko nuzzled against his hand, her creamy white skin covered in his marks. After he slept with Amphitrite, the cheeky fox awoke seeking another round, and like that, he’d spent almost everything he had between the two women.

’If succubi existed, these two were candidates!’

Amphitrite’s body curled against his chest, her scales deep blue and shiny, although she wanted to compete with Kumiko, because of her unique shape, it didn’t take long for her to become bruised and swollen, even with a slower movement.

’Well, not like she didn’t try...’

His eyes caught her plump, red lips, which were also a little swollen and sore.

Time slowly passed, and he ordered some breakfast while checking his phone for anything important. Nikita sent videos of their girls.

Viktoria wore a cute little black and red dress with polka dots, while Elizabeth and Dhalia wore matching outfits with a black skirt and cute salmon pink top. It was endearing to hear Nikita calling their names and trying to get them to speak.

But these girls were having none of it!

’How cute.’

They just stared at the camera, acting cute.

Selene, Anya and Clara all sent video messages, with Selene wearing a silk nightgown, the camera slightly above her, which gave a delightful sight of her deep cleavage, the soft pink buds peeking from the frilled edges.

However, after the night of passion, even Nikolai’s little brother remained half asleep.

After the food arrived, Nikolai gently woke the two women, and they enjoyed a light meal to replenish the energy spent earlier.

Amphitrite’s legs appeared weak as she clung to Nikolai’s neck, hanging from him like a koala bear. Kumiko remained on the bed, lying on her stomach as she slowly flicked her tail in the air, a little frown on her pretty face.

”Husband, you were so strong last night~”

”Stop swaying, don’t kiss my neck like that, let’s just eat!” He scolded Amphitrite, who swooned and rocked while acting up.

”I don’t want to~~~”

He glanced back at Kumiko.

She would usually stop the others from acting so needy and causing trouble, but he found her staring at his back, her eyes half-narrowed, while licking her lips like a perverted vixen.

”What’s wrong, husband?”

Nikolai couldn’t help but furrow his brows; the typically elegant fox now acted like a female gangster. He enjoyed the sight of her squished breasts, but the seductive and arrogant expression on her face made him feel like a bit of meat for her to enjoy.

’Well, this is another side of her that’s quite interesting.’

”Baby~ I’m thirsty.”

Amphitrite, on the other hand, showed a completely different side, her soft, vulnerable side that wanted to rely on him more. He couldn’t help but sigh. The two women seemed to be letting off their stress right now.

What else could he do but entertain them?

Meanwhile, back at the mansion.

”Are you sure you don’t want to tell him?” Anastasia said with a concerned tone, who wore a white gown and scrubs, her hands wrapped in latex.

”It’ll be fine, you said that it’d be another twenty hours, right? If I were to be.... Ngh, selfish and call him back now, wouldn’t the other two girls be upset?”

Selene lay on a comfortable bed in the large medical room with state-of-the-art equipment. With her legs spread, and various female nurses around the bleeping machines. Although she hadn’t quite entered labour, because her mother suffered issues during her birth, Elizabeth insisted she rest in the medical ward.

The video she sent to Nikolai was one she took the day before, knowing she’d be entering the medical ward.

This was something to keep his mind at peace.

”I know that, but you...” Anastasia loved her little nieces; some of them helped her in the lab, while Selene would send large amounts of medical supplies and monster parts purchased using her family’s Scarlet Group. ”That little brat Nikolai!”

”D-Don’t insult him, please... he’s been working so hard for us, I just don’t want to ruin his time to relax and spend time with us. I’ve already had a great night. Kumiko and Amphitrite seldom try to spend time alone and prioritise Nikita and me.”

Selene’s lips curled into a contented smile. She couldn’t believe her own thoughts. If this were the Selene from ten months ago, or even half a year ago, she might have thrown a tantrum. Almost certainly, she could imagine herself demanding he be there right now!

”Forget it.” Sasha stood in front of the back machines, with various monitors showing the readings of Selene’s current state. ”Interesting.”

Sasha’s fingers moved across the holographic display, enlarging several graphs at once. The steady rhythm of the machine filled the room, broken only by Selene’s slow breathing.

”Truly... interesting.”

Anastasia frowned at her. ”What is?”

”The readings,” Sasha replied calmly, though her eyes narrowed with focus. ”Her energies are completely fused and like nothing I’ve seen before. Even Nikolai’s isn’t like this. Although Nikita and her daughters have a unique energy. It’s like those four were the prototype, and Selene’s child is the perfect product.”

The room became silent but for the steady bleeping from the monitor beside Selen’s bed.

Selene lay back against the pillows, one hand resting over her swollen abdomen.

Vampires didn’t get enormous bellies like werewolves. Instead, their stomachs and children normally grew more slowly, then after being born and feeding from their mother’s blood. The vampire would quickly start to grow.

She looked calm, but if one paid attention to the sharp point of her ears, they might notice it was flickering slightly each time Sasha and Anastasia whispered about what they found.

”Perfect product is a strange way to put it,” Selene said softly with a pout.

Sasha didn’t look away from the screen. ”Well, forgive me, it’s hard to adjust, call it an occupational hazard!”

Anastasia crossed her arms. ”That doesn’t explain why you’re staring like you’ve found a miracle.”

Sasha finally turned. ”Because I might have.”

”Oh, go on?”

”This blood, it’s about fifty percent similar to their fathers. So, these children should have blood that carries the strengths of both werewolf and vampire, maybe whatever the mother’s race added and NONE of the weaknesses!”

Before either of them could respond, Selene’s fingers tightened against the sheets.

”Ngh...”

Anastasia snapped out of research mode and rushed to the bed. ”Selene? Is it painful? Squeeze my hand if it is!” Her hands wrapped around the struggling mother to be, with a twisted face full of agony.

Selene gasped, her eyes squeezing shut as she let out a low groan.

The machine beside her gave a sharper bleep.

Sasha finally turned away from the display, tapping several holographic buttons, as the machine arms around the bed injected two gels into Selene’s blood. ”Don’t worry, these serums are safe and good for the baby. They will ease the pain, while keeping your blood flow stable.”

”S....so much for twenty hours!” Selene grunted, her words elongated and low.

”I said twenty hours based on normal progression,” Sasha interrupted, tone sharpening.

”This isn’t normal.”

Selene swallowed, a bead of sweat forming at her temple. ”Sasha...?”

Another sensation rolled through her stomach, a deep ache followed by sharp stabbing contractions that took her breath away.

”Ngh... okay. That one... that one hurt a little.”

The machines slowly adjusted, and the beeps slowed, but the pained face of Selene took much longer to calm because her muscles tightened without her permission.

Sasha glanced at the monitors before shaking her head. ”This... we should contact Nikolai.”

Selene nodded but then shook her head. ”Wait!” Her lips trembled. ”I’m fine. I really am. I just... didn’t expect it to start like this. Let’s wait a little while first? I am sure everything will be okay.”

Another contraction followed, stronger than the last. Selene gasped, fingers digging into the sheets.

”Ah—!”

This time her head flung back into the pillow, and she bit her lower lip, unable to endure the pain fully. It was like someone boxing inside her womb.

Anastasia looked to Sasha. ”We should call him.”

”I know... but this stubborn girl!”

They knew that if they called Nikolai, it would be the best thing, and thus they could only ignore Selene’s plea.

Selene shook her head weakly. ”No— don’t—”

Her words broke off as the machines let out a rapid series of beeps.

Sasha was already moving. ”I’m calling him.” She paused, eyes flicking back to Selene. ”This isn’t something he should hear about after the fact. How would you feel? Don’t be kind, he is the father and probably wants to be here just as much as being with them!”

The blonde mermaid didn’t listen to Selene’s call and instantly dialled Nikolai’s number; she’d already spoken to him and knew he valued Selene more than she realised.

Beep Beep!

”Hello, Nikolai? It’s Sasha, can you come to the hospital ward as soon as you can? Selene’s about to enter labour.” His low voice came instantly before the call cut, and Sasha’s lips curled into a smile. ”Good.” But she could only endure the daggers from Selene, who glared at her while looking like a total banshee.
