Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 578: The Gates Open!? Chaos and Death in His name!

Captain Levin surprised Nikolai. He spoke of cooperation, and that’s precisely what he offered. The twenty high-ranked SSS hunters with him would help open, enter and close the gates one by one.

’This is too good to turn down, but Madoka. She’s dangerous.’

He wanted to ask the old captain, but chose not to. What if Madoka didn’t share more than the basic information? It would be giving the SSS more ammunition to use against him and the Volkov clan.

’I wonder why she’s helping, though.’

These thoughts lingered as he weighed the options.

”I think the offer you gave was fair enough, but what does your mistress seek?”

Nikolai was damned if she wanted nothing. That crazy woman who attacked him in the middle of the street, then tried to seduce him multiple times until she succeeded, and they crossed the line.

Captain Levin’s stoic face shifted slightly as he smiled at Nikolai, then reached into his armoured vest and took out a small SD card. ”Our leader asked me to hand this over to you if you agreed to the cooperation.”

”Hm?”

Nikolai glanced at the card, then nodded. ”Let me check it.” He took out his phone before pushing the card into its free slot. There was a flicker, and several folders appeared on the phone, some with pictures; there was even a video file and a document.

The document was labelled ”Deal”, but he watched the video first.

He tapped his earpiece, syncing the Bluetooth to his phone, then closed his eyes with a sigh, wondering what this crazy woman would speak to him about.

Then, I finally tapped play.

Beep!

[Hello, Handsome]

Her deep, sexy voice entered both his ears, the high-quality microphone better than most ASMR artists. He couldn’t help but grit his teeth as tingles shot down his spine, while his ear tickled and felt strange.

’Am I this horny!?’

[You probably doubt my reason for helping you, and I wouldn’t blame you after what happened.]

She didn’t scold him or make any demands at first; she sat in a dark room, with faint LED lights illuminating her pretty face, the sharp jawline and cheeks different from many of his other women.

Madoka was sexy, sensual and a warrior.

That’s how he would describe her, like a fierce female tiger facing the world.

Yet, when she smiled at the camera, his heart raced.

Much like their shared night of passion.

[I have included a contract along with the video; this should put your heart at ease regarding what I want and how we will interact in the future.]

Madoka looked at the camera with a forlorn and bitter expression.

Nikolai remembered when she told him about her family and how she blamed his father, but somehow, he didn’t feel the same bloodthirst towards him.

[You...]

She paused, then it seemed Madoka probably tried recording this part several times, as the light and room around her changed slightly multiple times.

[After we last met. I looked into the past, like you told me.]

With an empty smile, she held up several documents and tossed them in the air. Her aura and atmosphere felt so desolate that Nikolai almost moved to catch her when she dropped back down onto the chair.

[You were right, little wolf]

Madoka’s voice became brighter, a more seductive and personal tone leaking through the previous business-only voice.

He wanted to focus, but suddenly the ground shook, and he found himself struggling to remain standing.

’What the hell!?’

”An earthquake!?”

”Be careful!”

[Nikolai]

She called his name, and the camera shifted again... repeating his name over and over, as her smile and expression became more animated and human.

[Nikolai, your father was trying to save them. To think our supposed sworn enemies would be the ones trying to save people who wanted them dead! Hahaha! Don’t you find it amusing, Nikolai?]

Her atmosphere felt a little unstable, only improving when she addressed him.

There was a focus, a fierce and stable aura that enveloped her body as if keeping her sane.

[From this moment on, I have cut ties with most of the SSS and have gone into hiding. You may or may not believe me, Nikolai Volkov. But you have to!]

When she finished the last part, her moist red lips curled into a smile as she took something from her desk. It was a medical report from almost a decade ago, stating that patient A. Who turned out to be Madoka herself, couldn’t conceive or reproduce.

They blotted out the source as if being redacted.

[Those bastards not only killed my family, but the thing they injected destroyed my past, present and future of ever having a new family!]

The video continued, with Madoka showing all the documents related to her family’s tragedy, which occurred when he was a child, and how his father protected the scientists and humans who sought cooperation with monsters.

To find cures and ways that their races could prosper together.

The project gave birth to the method used by Madoka to become stronger, and how she carried a were-tiger’s abilities. But once the higher-ups learned of this, they sent spies and undercover units to mess with the serum and, in doing so, caused the ones who used it to become sterile and infertile.

[Phew... I bet you’re wondering why this crazy woman is speaking about this, right?]

Her tone shifted, the anger and angst from earlier faded as if washed down the drain, and that’s when she took another report.

He gasped.

’So beautiful...!’

The moment she opened the report, her face beamed as if glowing, her smile so genuine and sincere that Nikolai couldn’t deny she was more charming than his wives. If they were all young, pretty beauties, then Madoka was a mature, sensual beauty.

That’s when she held up the medical evaluation to the camera.

A pleasant and soft voice.

[Look, Nikolai! You’re going to be a father!]

Shake~

The ground shook slightly once again.

It was shocking to see the woman he once fought tooth and nail against, wondering when she would summon the SSS and cause him trouble, suddenly say his name with such affection as tears dripped down her cheeks.

The document was a gynaecological report.

Attached was an ultrasound, a medical diagnosis and a report on the mother. Yes. Madoka was pregnant, and the date, time and everything was just over a month ago, when he slept with her all night in Londis.

’Damn, I knew it!’

The first time they did it, he avoided finishing inside. But they had sex several times, and in the heat of the moment, she clamped her legs around his back while riding him. He couldn’t help but finish inside.

[How do you feel? Are you angry, upset, or could you be happy?]

Madoka was a complex woman to Nikolai.

He still thought she was an enemy, but the difference between the fierce tigress and this affectionate mother shocked him.

[I won’t fight or discriminate against monsters anymore. I have teamed up with one of the original members of the Species Union Act. Captain Levin’s daughter is one of the first half-human, half-monster hybrids from the first generation! He will not betray you. I have told him our secret, so use him however you wish!]

After that, she started asking him things like names, what if the twins are girls or boys? If she should visit the Volkov mansion, it was almost jarring to listen to her speak so softly, and it felt bizarre.

Included with the documents, she included her contact number and her MeChat ID.

’Well, if those are my children. How could I abandon them, or her?’

Although it might take longer for him and Madoka to clear their feelings and fix the wrongs from the past, Nikolai wasn’t the irresponsible and childish man he was a month before, after realising the importance of what he wanted.

These children were his, and he wouldn’t let them suffer.

”How is it?” Captain Levin asked, his voice a little less deep and brighter.

”Captain, one moment, I need to respond.”

The tall, dark Levin smiled for the first time upon seeing Nikolai’s reaction and the fact that he was typing on his phone. He nodded, and he waved to the troops behind him. ”We’re under the command of Nikolai Volkov from this moment on!”

When Nikolai glanced up, he couldn’t help but shake his head. He felt there was a subtle resemblance between Captain Levin and Vernan.

[To: Tigress Wife]

[I have seen your video, the documents and everything. Although I want to say more, there are things I have to complete first.]

[That sounded a bit too stiff... but maybe we can take things step-by-step. I will arrange a table next week. How about you join me for a meal, and we can discuss things in more depth, Madoka?]

[Nikolai]

The message was awkward, but he didn’t have any feelings of love; at most, it was a sense of lust and faint affection. He liked the wild and aggressive woman who fought him; there was a feral and strange pull he felt whenever meeting or thinking of Madoka.

So he would start like this.

Slowly, approaching each other step by step.

His goal was to become comfortable by the time her stomach grew large.

’Without my blood, she’ll suffer and die.’

Because his children were natural hybrids, he’d discovered even Nikita would have died without his blood, so how could a human woman endure that kind of drain? He slept with his wives constantly and kept their bodies in peak condition.

Madoka didn’t have this benefit.

Almost instantly, his phone shook with a vibration, as if she were waiting for his message with the phone in her hand.

However, the moment he tapped the notification.

BOOOM!

Every gate suddenly burst into action.

The sigils around the frame all shone blood red, and a low, chanting hymn sounded in the minds of everyone present.

Death!

Slaughter!

Ravish them in my name!

Nikolai’s pupils shrank as all fifteen gates suddenly activated as if waiting to punish him for accepting Madoka.

”Prepare—!” Captain Levin screamed as a flying monster with scythe blades shot past, slicing a maid and the gun in her hand in half. ”Prepare for combat! Support the maids, shoot those fuckers down!”

In an instant.

Hell broke loose.
