Chapter 2269: Kessarin

”Kessarin, you need to calm down.”

A man rushed after another, trying to slow him down to no avail. Every time he grasped at the latterʼs arm, he would just keep walking. The gap in their power was so much that it was useless.

”Touch me again and I will kill you.” Kessarin said coldly.

The blaring echoes of an arena filled with people swallowed up the rest of his words as he stepped out.

But when he saw the scene in front of him, he was furious beyond belief.

There was Cheri, sitting on the lap of another man. No, to say that she was just sitting wasnʼt doing the actual scene in front of him justice at all.

The man sat there, indifferent and unbothered, one hand in Cheriʼs robe, firmly grabbing her breast, and the other between her legs.

Cheri was less sitting as she was squirming, her forehead pressed against the side of the manʼs neck as though she wanted to hide her rushes of flushed excitement and overwhelming haziness.

The man himself didnʼt even look up at Kessarin. He sat on the chair like it was a throne, looking out toward the arena below without a single care in the world.

This region was a lookout for the elite disciples. A gathering of the best of the best were here, but such displays of outright affection and raunchiness were usually a lot more reserved here.

There were countless partners fucking in the stands, but they were a level above. It wasnʼt rare to see a woman on a manʼs lap here, and there were even a few men on the laps of women, but there was still an upper limit.

The reason the culture of the elites was different from the common disciples here was actually quite simple. They represented their guilds.

The common disciples could do whatever they wanted, while they, even though their own seeds were burning up within them, had to be a lot more careful and cautious.

This was why hierarchy was so important to them. If they slept with an individual that was too powerful for them, they could end up defaming themselves and humiliating their guild.

When the other women looked away from Sylas when Cheri made her interest known, it was actually not just an acknowledgement of Cheri, but also a realization that trying to sleep with Sylas could end up with them getting humiliated.

They were both showing respect to Cheri and themselves by avoiding potential punishment.

As much raunchiness as was going on, it had to be remembered that the two guilds were still technically enemies.

Their cultivation methods benefited from the existence of the other, as did their Genes and Skills. This was why they bedded one another.

But going too far would get them punished.

However, they were also oddly territorial about the partners they had either chosen or were seeking to pursue. Not because of love, but because of pride and also the sake of their own power.

If someone they had their eyes on chose someone else, that was as good as stealing a resource that would grant them power. That was unacceptable.

Things like what was happening with Cheri here happened on rare occasion when one lost themselves in their Sin or was forcefully taken by someone more powerful.

But even then, they wouldnʼt outright display it before everyone to see like this.

Cheri simply looked absolutely smitten. She couldnʼt extricate herself even if she tried.

And unfortunately for her, it wasnʼt an act like she had originally intended.

Somehow, despite being absent minded, Sylas just kept using the perfect amount of pressure, in just the right places, rubbing, pinching, and squeezing in just the right patterns.

She released a heavy, hot breath onto his neck.

”CHERI!” Kessarin roared.

Cheriʼs gaze shifted upward, her eyes a bit hazy. She didnʼt even recognize Kessarin instantly, almost like he was someone she hadnʼt seen before.

It took several seconds before she remembered who Kessarin was.

”Yes?” she asked, her voice a bit hoarse.

Kessarin looked like he was about to blow a gasket. What did she mean ”yes?”

He was about to charge when the man who had been chasing after him all the time jumped on his back and wrapped his arms around his chest to hold him back.

”KESSARIN! FOCUS!”

It seemed he hadnʼt taken Kessarinʼs warning from earlier all that seriously, and that was for good reason. There were heavy rules around killing here. You would be punished.

That, of course, left the question of why Sylas hadnʼt been when he had already brazenly killed here already. That was undoubtedly something that would have exposed him as someone lacking in their guildʼs badge already.

So it was a good thing Sylas wasnʼt pretending to be one of them right now.

Kessarin fought back against the grip of the man, practically baring his teeth.

”Didnʼt you say you would wait until you reached the A-tier to choose a partner? What the fuck is this, you whore?!”

Cheri blinked a bit languidly.

”… Whore?” she seemed genuinely confused by the insult. Did he not see what sort of guilds they were in? Who here wasnʼt a whore, exactly?

She was about to speak again when a moan was dragged out of her instead. Sylas had been playing around with not just one, but both of her entrances for hours, but he hadnʼt slipped anything in.

Yet, the first time he did, it was actually her back entrance. It made her feel so dirty, so embarrassed…

So very turned on.

Her forehead fell back into the crook of his neck. She couldnʼt be bothered to answer to whatever tantrum Kessarin was throwing.

There were plenty of members of the Stormfall Covenant that wanted to make her their exclusive plaything, but her goals and aspirations were a lot higher than that.

What she didnʼt expect was to suddenly become the plaything of a man she didnʼt even know. But… he just smelled too good.

Kessarin saw red and the man holding him back was blasted flying.
