Chapter 2542: Chapter 2542: Ricchi Family

Yu Qi laughed when she watched Angelica Lee run away like that.

”Serve her, right. Who told her to come and talk to us?” Yu Qi stated.

”Hmm...” Long Hui nodded.

They found an empty table and sat down. The waiter came to take their order.

”Oh... That man... Tim William and his family have already arrived at Binhai Nation. I arranged for them to stay at the hotel first for a couple of days.” Long Hui stated.

”Hmm... Thank you... When we return, I will see the vacancy at my company.” Yu Qi stated.

”They would have some difficulties adapting because it is totally new for them. New culture, new language.” Long Hui stated.

”He chose himself.” Yu Qi said. ”As for Jack Anderson, I already handled the evidence to Joshua Powler. He was livid when he found out about that. He immediately stopped processing Jack Anderson’s salary that he promised to pay. He wanted to sue Jack Anderson, but I stopped him. It is complicated. We still did not have much information about Andrew Potter.”

”How about Neko-chan’s investigation on Andrew Potter?” Long Hui asked.

”Neko-chan told me that the information about him had been wiped out. She stated that she could take a look at that and is still working on that.” Yu Qi said.

”Wiped out, meaning they know that they messed up.” Long Hui said.

”They probably did not want me to establish myself here.” Yu Qi said.

”Hmm... I will ask some people to guard the construction site.” Long Hui stated.

”Huh? You want to ask the soldiers?” Yu Qi tilted her head.

Long Hui flicked Yu Qi’s forehead. ”Of course, not. Third Brother has a lot of mercenaries under his control. He would send them over if he knew you were in trouble.” Long Hui said.

’That’s because you always beat him up whenever you meet him. He is afraid of you.’ Yu Qi spoke in her mind.

....

Angelica Lee contacted someone after leaving the restaurant.

”How about the plan?” Angelica Lee asked.

”They realised that someone had sabotaged them and began to be really careful in selecting the workers.” That person stated.

”It is quite fast.” Angelica Lee commented.

”Humph! They realised after that couple came. It seemed that the couple was really good.” That person praised Yu Qi and Long Hui.

”Well, ask your people to cease the operation for now.” That person stated.

”Why? It is a good time to disturb them.” Angelica Lee asked.

”That Powler Brat used his connection to the Ricchi Family to help him investigate the matter. You should know how the Ricchi Family act if they find out you’re messing with their people.” That person stated.

Angelica Lee clicked her tongue, annoyingly.

The Ricchi Family was one of the four families. To be honest, at this moment, they were the strongest among the four families. They owned a lot of industries, such as construction, mining, rare minerals, and many more.

Joshua Powler was the son of Amelia Ricchi, the daughter of the current head of the Ricchi Family. Amelia Ricchi married into the Powler Family. Even though Amelia Ricchi was still involved in her family’s businesses.

The Ricchi Family was known for their protection of the family members. As that person stated, if they found out Angelica Lee was sabotaging Joshua Powler’s work, the Ricchi Family, especially Amelia Ricchi, would not let the people go. Angelica Lee wondered if Yu Qi had hired Joshue Powler for this reason.

”Then, be patient.” That person advised Angelica Lee.

”I understand.” Angelica Lee nodded.

...

It was time to return home. As usual, they flew in their private jet. The raw stones had also been transported by the Rose Night Cargo Ship. They watched it being loaded into that cargo ship.

Yu Qi wanted to sleep on the bed as the plane reached the required height. She was tired. Last night, Long Hui pulled her into his embrace, saying that he just wanted to hold her. But the next second, they were doing it. So, Yu Qi was tired and sleepy.

She could sleep, sitting on the seat. But Yu Qi wanted to eat in bed. It was very comfortable.

”I am going to sleep on the bed. No, you can’t. Don’t follow me. I want to sleep alone.” Yu Qi cut Long Hui before he managed to talk them out.

”Fine...” Long Hui nodded regretfully.

So, Yu Qi went to sleep on the bed nicely and soundly. She did not know that his fiancée sneaked into the bed and slept with her.

When Yu Qi awoke, she could feel the hand around her waist. She did not need to turn around to know who he was. Since he wanted to sleep, they could sleep together. Yu Qi closed her eyes again and continued sleeping.

Finally, after 5 hours, they woke up. Yu Qi was the one who woke up first. She looked at Long Hui, who was still asleep. She poked his face, and he frowned. She wanted to try again, but her hand had been grabbed by Long Hui.

”Having fun?” Long Hui’s voice sounded so raspy.

”Hmm... Well, who told you to come and sleep with me?” Yu Qi rolled her eyes.

”Myself.” Long Hui replied.

Yu Qi wanted to argue more, but she stopped as they heard the gurgling from her stomach.

”Hmm... Our princess is hungry. Let’s refresh and go out.” Long Hui teased.

”Humph!” Yu Qi rolled her eyes again and got out of bed.
