Chapter 2528: Chapter 2528: Help Them

Then, he continued. ”She told me that with her plan, I would be able to secure income for several months from the workplace, plus the hustle money that I would get. I did not have to worry about that. She told me to fake the injury on my leg, telling the other workers that someone was pushing me. Because I was the second victim who was pushed at the construction site, other workers believed me. Of course, some of them did not believe me and thought that I faked the injury, but with the doctor’s confirmation, they believed me. The last person broke his hand. I broke my leg. They were afraid to be the next victim. So, most of them ended up quitting the job.” Tim William stated.

He looked ashamed as he recounted the story to them. He stopped for a moment when his wife came out and served them some cold tea with some refreshment.

”Please have a drink.” The wife smiled before leaving the area.

The daughter wanted to come out as well, but she was being pushed by her mother. Her mother knew how to coax her daughter, making her forget to come out anymore.

”This was the number that contacted me last time, telling me that I would receive the money in two days.” Tim William showed the last contact number. ”It was a man. He also warned me that I had to guard this secret and should not tell anyone.”

”Then, why are you telling us?” Yu Qi asked.

”I regret taking the offer. I felt a constant fear of being watched by those people. I am also feeling horrible about making my friends quit a good job. I was afraid that those people would come after my family.” Tim William clutched his fists.

”So, what are you going to do?” Yu Qi asked.

”I am thinking of bringing my family to move away from this place.” Tim William stated.

”Do you think you can escape?” Yu Qi asked.

Tim William fell silent.

”This is why this kind of offer will cost your life.” Yu Qi stated.

Tim William did not know what to say about that. He admitted that she was right. He saw that she turned to the man beside her. The man was silent from the start. Then, he heard her start talking in a language that he did not understand. No wonder the man stayed silent. He did not speak his language. He could see that the man was nodding and replying to her.

Yu Qi stopped talking to Long Hui and turned to face Tim William.

”Do you really want to escape?” Yu Qi asked.

”Huh?” Tim William did not react in time to Yu Qi’s question.

”I am asking you, do you really want to escape?” Yu Qi asked the same question.

”Yes.” This time, Tim William answered firmly.

”Are you willing to escape to another country? You will have to leave your extended family. You will have to learn a new language and culture.” Yu Qi asked again.

Tim William looked at his daughter, who was visible inside the house and at his wife, who smiled at his daughter. The people who wanted to sabotage others were not good. They might target his family. He could not let the bad things happen to his family.

”Yes.” Tim William nodded.

”Then, you will have to cooperate with me. Don’t worry, I will not ask you to do anything bad. Give me your contact number. I will have to make the preparations first.” Yu Qi stated.

They exchanged contact numbers. Yu Qi and Long Hui left the house. Before they approached Tim Williams’ house, they had already checked the surroundings. No people were observing Tim William’s house at the moment.

However, since Tim William agreed to help Yu Qi, she was sure those people would start keeping an eye on Tim William. His family would definitely be in danger. They already had Tim William in their hands. Tim William already became their tool the moment he accepted their offer. If the tool did not want to move as they asked, they used anything available to move the tool. Their target would be the family. Tim William understood that. That was why he agreed to move away, even to another country.

”Do you want to go and talk to another guy?” Long Hui asked.

”No... No need for today. I need to investigate the lead given by Tim William first. We also need to arrange for his family’s move. I don’t want to alert the enemy.” Yu Qi said.

”Do you believe him?” Long Hui asked.

”Hmm... I believe someone like him who treasured his family. Well, if he is lying, it means my ability to read people is not good enough.” Yu Qi said.

Long Hui patted Yu Qi’s head.

”I already sent the numbers to Neko-chan. I asked her to search the numbers to see if they were still active or not. I hope one of them would be stupid enough to use their own number to contact Tim William.” Yu Qi moved to another topic.

Then, they heard some sounds. Long Hui chuckled as he recognised the sound.

”Don’t laugh.” Yu Qi’s face was red.

”My beloved Qi Qi is hungry. We will stop all of the work and search for a restaurant.” Long Hui stated.

”You...” Yu Qi wanted to protest, but her stomach protested first.

Long Hui laughed. ”See, your stomach agrees with me. Let’s find a place to eat.” Long Hui stated.
