I reported you for selling fake medicine. If I stop selling it, why are you crying?

Chapter 22: Things of unknown originChapter 22: Things of unknown origin

If someone told him that there was a drug that could inhibit lung cancer, Xie Wensheng would think that the other person must be lying to him.

But if Cheng Ming said it, then he felt it might be true.

It’s such a double standard.

The two grew up together, and the trust between them is something that ordinary people cannot understand. Let’s put it this way, even if Cheng Ming told him that tomorrow was the end of the world and zombies would break out, his first reaction would be to stock up on food, instead of laughing at Cheng Ming for being an idiot.

Cheng Ming never jokes.

Moreover, Cheng Ming took him to visit the factory and laboratory two days ago, and they were really making medicines seriously. He also asked two researchers in the laboratory, and according to them, they were really doing research on cancer-related drugs and had already achieved results!

All this made Xie Wensheng feel dazed.

His good-for-nothing brother suddenly turned into a great angel who saved cancer patients!
No matter how.

He believed it.

Xie Wensheng took a bottle of medicine and put it in the empty seat next to the driver’s seat.

Lin Yuemei, who was sitting in the passenger seat, glanced at the medicine bottle and was puzzled: ”Do you trust Cheng Ming so much? How can cancer be cured?”

”shut up.”

Lin Yuemei curled her lips, a little dissatisfied: ”He must have been deceived, right? Curing cancer? It sounds unreliable!”

”You don’t understand.” Xie Wensheng nodded.

Lin Yuemei stopped talking.

The car starts.

Heading out of the city.

The old man didn’t like living in the city, so he moved back to his hometown in the countryside. This time, Xie Wensheng planned to take the medicine home for the old man to take.

The car drove for two hours and arrived at a small village on the outskirts of Haicheng and stopped in front of a small rural villa.

As soon as I entered the door, the old man and several uncles were chatting in the hall.

”Grandson! Granddaughter-in-law, why are you back today?” asked the old man.

Xie Wensheng usually only goes back to his hometown on weekends, but today is not the weekend, so the old man asked this question.

”Grandpa, we’ll come back to see you.”

”Oh, what’s so good about my old bones? You should help your father look after the factory.”

The old man had a hint of complaint on his lips, but he couldn’t suppress it.

He was obviously very happy to have his grandson back.

At this moment, an inappropriate voice came from the side.

”Wensheng, your grandfather is right. You should make more money in the factory. As long as your second uncle and his family are by your grandfather’s side to show filial piety, you don’t have to come back!”

The person who spoke was Xie Wensheng’s second aunt, the wife of his second uncle.

It sounds like it’s for their own good, but the tone is indescribable.

This second aunt is also an old hermaphrodite.

Xie Wensheng felt slightly angry.

It is true that their family has not been back for some time, but the old man had lived in the city for several years before that, and it was their family who had always taken care of him, and the medical expenses were all paid by Xie Wensheng’s family.

It’s only been two months since the old man returned to his hometown, and this second aunt can’t wait to start playing tricks. What a typical double standard.

However, the other party was an elder, so Xie Wensheng was too lazy to pay attention to her.

”Grandpa, how are you?”

”What else can I do? The same old thing, cough cough!”

Before the old man could finish his words, he started coughing and couldn’t stop.

Xie Wensheng patted the old man’s back, and he coughed for several minutes before he slowly recovered.

”How come it’s so serious!” Xie Wensheng raised his voice a little when he was anxious.

My second uncle and second aunt standing by sounded unhappy.

It seemed to be saying that they didn’t take good care of the old man.

My second uncle was a man of few words and didn’t say anything, but my second aunt was immediately unhappy.

”Wensheng, what do you mean by this? Are you blaming us for not taking good care of the old man? If you are capable, why don’t you come back and take care of him yourself?”

”I didn’t say that.” Xie Wensheng said.

The atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward. At this moment, the taciturn second uncle glanced at his wife and said, ”Stop talking.”

Second Auntie was furious. She cursed: ”I am telling the truth. Am I wrong? Xie Erbing, are you helping an outsider now?”

”Wensheng is not an outsider.” The second uncle defended.

But Second Aunt didn’t listen at all. In a state of excitement, she started to scold Second Uncle.

”The old man is taken care of by me inside and outside, and I am not allowed to complain?”

”You are so capable, why don’t you do it yourself?”

”You all just know how to bully an outsider like me.”

In front of the old man, the couple started arguing.

Until the old man couldn’t stand it anymore and ordered them to stop.

”enough!”

”What kind of a quarrel is this among a family? Ahem!”

The two were stopped and everyone suddenly quieted down.

Xie Wensheng took out the medicine bottle and handed it to the old man.

”Grandpa, this is a drug for treating lung cancer developed by my friend. You can try it.”

When the old man stopped Second Aunt, she turned her face to the side, but when she heard Xie Wensheng’s words, she turned back.

Looking at the bottle, she asked again, ”What is this? It doesn’t even have a label. Are you giving your grandfather something of unknown origin?”

Before he could finish his words, his second uncle glared at him again.

But this time she didn’t back down.

”I don’t have any objection, but aren’t you afraid that your grandfather will get sick from eating this?”

Xie Wensheng said in a muffled voice: ”This is a Chinese patent medicine produced by my brother’s pharmaceutical factory. Hundreds of patients have tried his medicine and it is really effective. How could it be something of unknown origin?”

Second Aunt snatched the medicine bottle from Xie Wensheng’s hand and took another careful look at it.

”There’s not even a label for the drug name, and you still say it’s not of unknown origin? And you also say he’s your brother. What does your brother do? You believe everything he says? How can you be so naive?”

Second Uncle also said: ”The doctors said there is no specific medicine for this disease, it must be fake.”

Xie Wensheng said, ”My brother is Cheng Ming, who I grew up with. You also know him, Grandpa. He now runs a pharmaceutical factory that produces this kind of medicine. I believe him. Even if it doesn’t work, it’s Chinese medicine. There’s no harm in it.”

My second uncle and his wife wanted to say something else.

As a result, he was interrupted by the old man again.

”do not talk!”

He took the medicine bottle from Second Aunt.

”I still trust Cheng Ming’s character. What’s more, the doctor said my disease is incurable. I only have a few months left. What’s there to be afraid of? Cough cough!”

In fact, everyone present knew the principle of trying everything possible, but no one dared to say it out loud.

The old man himself has no taboos.

He opened the medicine bottle, took out a pill and prepared to put it in his mouth.

”Dad, you are too pampering your grandson. Can he take medicine carelessly?”

The second uncle wanted to stop it but it was too late.

The old man ate it and then picked up a glass of water and drank it down.

Several people stared at the old man closely.

”What are you looking at? Cough cough old man, I’m not going to die yet, cough cough.” The old man said while coughing.
The coughing even got worse.

The second aunt looked at Xie Wensheng: ”Look at the good things you have done!”

The second uncle also came over: ”Dad, how do you feel? Do you want to go to the hospital?”

The old man bent over and coughed for a while. After less than ten minutes, the coughing gradually weakened and finally disappeared. The old man’s face also returned to normal from the slightly red color just now.

He looked up with a look of surprise in his eyes.

”Is this. effective?”

Normally, once he started coughing, it would take him half a day to stop. But now, after only ten minutes, he stopped.

Xie Wensheng was very excited: ”See, I told you my brother’s medicine is really effective!”

His uncle and aunt were stunned and couldn’t say a word.

It actually works?
