Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 162: Invasion of the MainlandChapter 162: Invasion of the Mainland
The war entered a protracted war phase, and the consumption rate of the fleets of both sides remained at the same level, with the hourly casualties being around 30,000 legions.

This amount of casualties is only a small part of the subsequent reinforcements for both sides, which means that the number of troops deployed by both sides in the war will increase with the passage of time, and the scope of the battle will gradually expand due to the increase in troops.

”That’s not how a war of attrition works. The number of warships lost is less than the number of ships replenished. If this continues, it will take at least several months to accumulate manpower to turn the tide of the war. It will take another year to establish an absolute advantage in manpower. If the loss of the intelligent fleet is greater than the replenishment, this time will be too long and it will be easy for variables to occur.”

Liu Wen looked at the dynamic projection of the battlefield. Due to the construction of land-based defensive armed forces, the long-range firepower of the Star Fleet was basically on par with that of the intelligent machines, resulting in almost equal casualties in the firepower duel between the two sides. However, because the battlefield was too wide, a round of covering firepower projection could only destroy a small number of warships, which was not proportional to the energy consumed.

”Michelle, increase the intensity of the attack and increase the loss rate of both fleets.”

He did not want to interfere with Michelle’s command, but in the current situation, he could only force Michelle to counterattack to increase the casualty rate of both sides, at least to increase the casualties to a level above that of replenishing troops.

When Michelle heard Liu Wen’s order, she knew that the lord could not wait any longer and did not want this large-scale war to drag on too long. He was mainly worried that the intelligent civilization would send high-level warships to join the battle, which would be very unfavorable for the Star Sea Territory.

”Understood, Lord.” Michelle immediately began to mobilize the fleet to launch an offensive.

”Where are the people from the Intelligence Department? Come here.” Liu Wen suddenly said to Shirley.

Shirley contacted the Intelligence Department and asked them to send someone to answer the Lord’s questions.

Soon, an intelligence officer jumped over and said, ”Deputy Chief of Staff of the Intelligence Department Zhou Tong greets the Lord.”

”Zhou Tong, how is your intelligence department’s investigation into the intelligent machines going? Can they invade the Tuomu Thunder Galaxy?” Liu Wen asked.

Zhou Tong didn’t expect the first question to be of Hell difficulty. He explained with an embarrassed look on his face, ”My Lord, the detectors of the Tuomu Thunder Galaxy cannot penetrate deep into it and can only detect information at the edge of the galaxy. We are currently developing biological detectors to circumvent the data and information control capabilities of the intelligent machines. It is expected to be completed in a week and deployed within a month.”

”It takes a month to obtain information from the inside of the intelligent machine. This is far worse than the Human Union Intelligence Department!” Although Liu Wen was not satisfied, he also knew that at the same level of civilization, the signals of smart detectors could be easily discovered and seized by intelligent machines. It was difficult to obtain intelligence quietly under the opponent’s tight defense.

”Speed up the progress. I need to know the layout of the various industrial systems within the intelligent machinery, the galaxy defense nodes, and the location of the most important intelligent life sequence number 03 core central host.”

The staff officer was overwhelmed for a moment. This thing was really impossible to do!

”My Lord, the search for the core central host of intelligent life sequence number 03 cannot be completed.”

”According to the current intelligence, intelligent life forms do not have the habit of settling on a single central host, but instead migrate wherever they are needed.”

”So far, from the records of battles with intelligent life obtained from the Human Union and the Interstellar Alliance, the records of successful killing of intelligent life all used absolute superior power to intercept an area and then destroy all the matter in the area.”

“We don’t have that ability.”

The staff officer spoke cautiously, but his meaning was clear. High-level combat power was not enough to intercept the data transfer capabilities of intelligent life, so defeating them was no problem, but killing them was basically impossible.

What’s more, if intelligent life hides, it will be impossible to find each other. Even if a particle-level computing unit still exists, it will have a chance to start over. In this case, besides directly destroying all matter, is there any more effective way?
After hearing this answer, Liu Wen did not give up the plan to destroy the intelligent life serial number 03. Interception does not necessarily require the absolute strength advantage of high-level combat power. Data life can be dealt with with data life. Laura is a data life that survived the previous era. With the assistance of existing computing units, her ability in the data world is not worse than that of intelligent life serial number 03.

If we have the technology and the scale, but still can’t stop her, then all the resources the territory has spent on Laura will be wasted.

”You make plans according to this goal. Someone will do the interception. Your task is to find the other party, provide the coordinates to the fleet, and completely crush it. Do you understand?” Liu Wen said to Zhou Tong.

”Yes! Lord.” Since the boss said so, Zhou Tong had no choice but to agree. At least in his impression, the lord had never issued an order that could not be completed. If he said there were people to assist, there would definitely be people to intercept. As for whether the interception was successful or not, that was not his business.

”Your intelligence department should complete the establishment of the reconnaissance system as soon as possible. I need to know the follow-up reinforcement situation of the intelligent machine civilization, especially whether there are fleets of intelligent life sequence number 02 or even 01 to reinforce them.”

”Yes! My Lord!” Zhou Tong received the order and left.

In the projection, the battle between the two sides was extremely intense, and exchanging pieces between them became the norm. Various strategies such as luring the enemy into a trap and besieging a point to attack reinforcements were used in turn, causing the casualties on both sides to surge to five figures per hour.

The battle remained at a stalemate for half a month, during which time the space gate of the Xinghai Territory transported nearly 100 million biological legions to the front line.

A huge number, a huge fleet, but the price is that the stars in several galaxies are transforming into red giants, and many red giants have even collapsed into white dwarfs and neutron stars, and the stellar energy has been completely drained.

The hatching efficiency of biological battleships also decreased because a large amount of stellar energy was drained. Because the simplest stellar energy was in short supply, the conversion efficiency of dark energy in the universe and space energy in the space interlayer could not keep up with the consumption, not to mention the need to provide enough energy for the consumption of front-line battleships.

After half a month of fighting, the Star Fleet, with a reinforcement rate of 130,000 legions per hour, officially surpassed the Intelligent Machine Fleet by more than twice its size.

The intelligent mechanical fleet, which had just started out with a legion size of more than three million, could be reinforced by 80,000 to 100,000 legions every two hours. But now, after this period of strong exchanges on the battlefield, there are less than 1.8 million troops left.

Tens of millions of warship wreckages floated in the void, covering the entire nebula battlefield. Only a few of them were the wreckages of biological warships. The reason was that most of the biological warship wreckages had their energy drained by the other biological warships and dissipated in the void.

”My Lord, our fleet currently has a total of 3.6 million legions, and the hourly reinforcement rate has been reduced to 100,000 legions, which is only slightly more than the intelligent civilization.” Shirley reported while holding the data in her hand: ”The intelligent fleet currently has less than 1.8 million legions, and the reinforcement rate has remained unchanged, and no high-level warships have joined the battlefield.”

”In addition, the stars of several galaxies in the territory have been severely consumed. A large number of star systems are heading towards destruction due to the destruction of stars. New fusion materials need to be injected in time to stabilize the galaxy structure.”

Liu Wen put his hands together and held his chin, watching the real-time dynamic projection of the battlefield without blinking: ”It doesn’t matter. The galaxy is destroyed. Try to maintain the incubation efficiency of the biological warships. Send engineering ships to convert the gas planets in the galaxy into fusion materials and integrate them into the stars. Let him dismantle all the planets that can be dismantled and send them back to the small universe for storage.”

”Tell the administration not to worry about the territory issue. After this battle, all the galaxies in front of us, including the home galaxy of the Omnics, will be our territory.”

Shirley nodded and said, ”There is one more thing, Lord. According to the intelligence department’s investigation, the intelligent civilization has established a simple industrial system in the star system behind the battle line, which can provide some low- and medium-level warships for the front line.”

”This is not a problem. Once the front-line fleet is defeated, the industrial system of the galaxy in the rear will be useless. A round of naval artillery fire can solve the problem. If that doesn’t work, dismantle the planet and send it into the furnace for re-refining. It has chosen the wrong person if it wants to fight a ground war!” Liu Wen waved his hand casually. Millions of fleets on the front line have been defeated. Even if the industrial system in the rear has established a complete defense system, it is useless. Massive warships can directly push it away.

”Notify Michelle that we can start the action according to the plan!” Liu Wen felt that the time had come. With twice the number of troops as the enemy, plus the targeted equipment prepared during this period, it would not be difficult to break the situation and divide and encircle the enemy fleet in one go.

”Jack, where is the legion you commanded?” Liu Wen asked Jack.

”Boss, the biological fleet has reached the edge of the Tuomu Thunder Galaxy and can attack it at any time.” Jack responded.

”Then let’s fight, block its reinforcements, find out what its trump card is, and it would be best if we could find its computing center.” Liu Wen ordered the war without hesitation.

”Watch me.” Jack was also very excited now. This was his second time leading a fleet, but his first time in a head-on battle.

During the total war, he only led the fleet on a trip through the void, and the fleet did not encounter any battle at all. This battle against the intelligent machine civilization can be regarded as a test of the learning effect of his commander.

Outside the Tuomu Thunder Galaxy, a 50,000-legion-sized biological fleet emerged from the folded space, concentrating its forces to attack the defense system at the edge of the galaxy. The energy columns in the sky immediately targeted the most threatening long-range firepower points.

The rule-level biological warships in the fleet launched a space storm towards the front line of defense without hesitation, and the fleet followed the space storm and attacked into the interior of the galaxy.

Perhaps the intelligent civilization did not anticipate that their homeland would be invaded, and the deployment of defensive forces was very untimely. The defense lines built up layer by layer connecting the star systems were easily torn apart by the biological fleet.

The surface of the planet was scraped off layer by layer, and all man-made buildings were cleared away.

The energy extraction and conversion equipment on the surface of the star, as well as intelligent industrial equipment such as the space dock, were all destroyed by the dense energy beams. They were captured and swallowed by the star’s gravity because they lost their ability to maintain themselves.

The biological fleet was unstoppable all the way. The powerful defense fleet and defense system firepower points were swept by the space storm maintained by the rule-level biological warships. All the planets and stars along the way were destroyed and swallowed by the space storm, making the space storm more and more powerful and more and more difficult to control.

Jack excitedly commanded the biological fleet to head straight for the core of the galaxy and attack the industrial core hub of the intelligent civilization that had been discovered. As long as these industrial cores were destroyed, the efficiency of the intelligent civilization’s warship production would be greatly reduced, and the production of high-level warships would be directly halted. Ordinary warships would not be able to defeat the enemy without the protection of rule-level warships, no matter how many ordinary warships there were.

It was not until an hour later that the problem on the front battlefield was solved and the intelligent life sequence number 03, which had withdrawn some computing power, began to deploy against Jack’s biological fleet.

Part of the fleet that was reinforcing the front line was drawn here to build a defense system to prevent the biological fleet from advancing further inward.

Planetary bodies in the galaxy were awakened, and stellar energy formed tornadoes millions or tens of millions of kilometers long and were swallowed up. They were transformed into tremendous energy and sent into the equipment, supporting the operation of the internal equipment. After numerous transformations, they were launched along with the force field on one side of the planetary body.

Jack’s biological fleet was intercepted in the outer area of the galaxy, less than 20,000 light-years deep. Only less than 30,000 of the 50,000 biological legions were left.

After being intercepted by the intelligent machine fleet, the two sides started fighting.

One side made a desperate attack, trying to break through the defense line and attack the industrial center in the rear, while the other side tried desperately to intercept and buy time for long-range attack.

The result was that the biological fleet broke through the defense line with its numerical advantage, but the opponent also gained time.

Dozens of bright light beams suddenly appeared in the distant deep space and penetrated into the interior of the biological fleet and exploded. Waves of rule power accompanied by energy shocks covered all the warships. After a brief stalemate with the rule barrier, the rule warships of the biological fleet were the first to collapse and were covered by the rule attacks of the intelligent machines.

In an instant, the conventional warships of the biological fleet dissipated energy and shrank under the coverage of the rules, and the biological cells burst, disintegrated, and gradually disappeared.

Then dozens of rule-based light beams came, annihilating all the rule-based biological warships that persisted and wanted to escape from the attack area.

At this point, the biological fleet, which had been fighting for only an hour, was destroyed in the Tuomu Thunder Galaxy, and the stars, planets, meteorites and other celestial bodies in the surrounding area within a dozen light years disappeared completely, leaving only the surging energy tide rolling endlessly in the sky.

On the front battlefield, Michelle commanded the army to launch a full-scale counterattack, with special warships leading the way and regular warships providing escort. They forcefully opened up one channel after another and separated the intelligent mechanical fleet.
