Chapter 131 Starry Sky Giant Beast Starry Sea Spirit PigChapter 131 Starry Sky Giant Beast - Starry Sea Spirit Pig

The human saint pulled the Queen Mother into the fog of time and space to delay time. On the Human Alliance defense line, the insect swarms, under the command of the Queen, swarmed into the Human Alliance defense line. Billions of rule-level advanced insects served as the vanguard. The Queen gathered the spiritual power of billions of insects and launched a mental attack like waves hitting the shore, one after another, causing the Human Alliance fleet to suffer large-scale casualties if they were not careful.

The human fleet retreated again and again, and the defense lines they built were constantly broken. A large amount of matter and energy were sent by the Zerg into the queen’s nest to hatch into new Zergs to join the attacking army. As a result, after several years of fighting on the battlefield, the number of Zergs did not decrease much. The only thing consumed was the energy and material reserves of the queen’s nest. This is what makes the Zerg annoying. You don’t know how much energy and material reserves are in the queen’s nest. As long as you can’t kill the opponent directly, the Zerg army will continue to pour out before the reserves are consumed.

And once the battle begins, wherever the swarm passes, all the materials that can be devoured and utilized, such as void dark energy, stellar energy, interstellar dust, planets, etc. will be utilized by them and converted into materials for breeding insects, thereby continuously creating large armies of insects to launch attacks.

The best way to defeat the Zerg is to prevent it from getting supplies, surround it, deplete its reserves and then starve it to death.

If the high-level combat power is sufficient, the decapitation tactic is the best option. However, it is obvious that in a large-scale Zerg battle, it is nothing but a pipe dream to want to implement the decapitation tactic. The huge mental force can kill the weaker psychic saints mentally, not to mention the combat power of the same level. It is not easy to just pass the level of guarding the Zerg nest.

Admiral Chen Guanyi stood on the command platform, watching his army being suppressed by the Zerg and being defeated step by step. Although he had the tactical purpose of retreating actively to exchange space for time, he still felt uncomfortable watching the Zerg devouring his fleet bit by bit.

”Commander, the Intelligence Department has found the Zerg’s marching route.” The young staff officer from the Intelligence Department ran over and reported excitedly.

”Oh? It’s been several years, and you finally found it?” Chen Guanyi quickly took the information ball and frowned after reading its contents.

The origin of the Zerg is unknown. So far, it has only been traced back to the territory of the Deke civilization. Since the Deke civilization has cleared out all the way ahead, it is impossible to find the Zerg information quickly.

Originally, after the war broke out, it was routine for both sides to clear out the enemy’s detectors in advance, and large-scale destruction was commonplace, so the intelligence department did not become suspicious and continued to send detectors to search for intelligence in accordance with normal regulations. However, the cleanup work led by the Deke civilization was too clean this time, and not even a meteorite was left in the void, which resulted in the detectors being quickly intercepted and destroyed by the intelligence department of the Deke civilization.

Until the battle led by the Dek civilization ended, the Zerg took over and suppressed the situation for several more years. It was only recently that the blockade was relaxed, allowing spy detectors to sneak in.

The intelligence department used the information fed back by the spy detectors to find traces of the Zerg left behind, and only then did they understand where the Zerg came from.

The swarm of Zerg passed through the radiation zone of the Deke civilization’s territory, speeding all the way through the void. The original route was to pass by the pioneering star field, but the Deke civilization organized a large number of saints to block the road ahead, forcing the swarm of Zerg to change its route. With the reminder of the Deke civilization, the wormhole channel created by the dimensional space was discovered. Later, under the interference of the Deke civilization, the wormhole channel was opened in the pioneering star field.

When the Zerg appeared in the open star field and discovered the Human Alliance’s combat fleet, it was impossible to change direction at this time. Moreover, behind the Human Alliance’s defense line, the rich star systems were next to each other, and the mental fluctuations emitted by intelligent life were like shining stars, all of which attracted the attention of the Zerg.

Therefore, the Zerg simply launched an attack, trying to break through the human defense line and rush into the human territory. On the one hand, they can use the materials and energy of the human territory to cultivate the Zerg and enhance their own strength. On the other hand, because there are many intelligent lives in the human territory and the armed forces are not weak, they can also bring the enemies chasing from behind over. Under the battle of multiple parties, the Zerg will have a greater chance of escape.

This group of Zerg actually does not know much about humans. They are not native Void Zerg of this supercluster. They entered this supercluster accidentally while being hunted by the enemy. Therefore, they underestimated the strength of humans. As a result, they were pulled into the fog of space and time just as they were about to start a war, and were slowed down by the vortex of space and time.

But after reading the intelligence, Chen Guanyi discovered the problem: ”What else? Is that all? What about the things chasing after the insect swarm? Alien forces or some terrifying creatures? Why is there no information at all?”

The intelligence officer’s smile suddenly stopped as he explained, ”The intelligence department’s spy detectors can’t detect it. The entire area is covered by a special energy. All the detectors’ radars can’t penetrate it. Therefore, we have no idea what’s going on inside. It’s impossible to verify whether the energy covering an area of more than a dozen light years is a group of high-level life forms or unique individuals.”

”Continue to explore and send out unmanned reconnaissance special ships. You must find out the specific situation for me. How can we fight this war without intelligence?” Chen Guanyi shouted with his eyes glaring.

”Yes!” The intelligence officer quickly turned around and left, not even daring to say that he had dispatched the unmanned special reconnaissance ship.

”This battle was fought in a dizzying and confusing manner. Not only did the resources and armaments accumulated by the Sixth Star Field for decades disappear in one day, but the manpower losses were also heavy. We were really tricked by them this time!” Chen Guanyi sighed in a low voice. This battle was fought so badly that they were completely led by the enemy. Not only did the expected consumption increase several times, but a large number of reserve cadres died on the battlefield. In the next period of time, the Sixth Star Field will need to lie dormant to restore its strength, and it will be impossible to continue to expand outward.

No matter what Chen Guanyi thought, the battle continued. The Human Fleet relied on one line of defense after another to dissipate the power of the insect swarm and minimize its own losses, but there were still considerable casualties, which made the overall strength less and less. The rotation intervals became faster and faster, and the overall combat effectiveness began to decline in this cycle.

In the void, the fog of time and space opened up by the human saint was cleared and suppressed by the Queen Mother as time passed, opening up a normal space, and the distance between the two sides was getting closer and closer.

More than two months passed, and the Queen Mother opened a channel connecting the human saints in the fog of time and space. A large number of concept-level insects pounced on them and started fighting with the human saints.

Spiritual energy suns shined brightly, various concepts eroded and squeezed each other, the rules of the universe were kneaded and shaped like plasticine in the hands of both sides, the void of the universe vibrated endlessly, and the radiated energy broke away from the suppression of both sides and destroyed large areas of the void. Space debris filled the surrounding area of the battlefield, and space storms divided the battlefield, making it impossible for the outside world to observe what was happening inside.

The human saints banded together to resist, trying to drag the Queen Mothers here, but how could the Queen Mothers follow their ideas?

Some of the queens were left behind to lead the insects to beat up the human saints, and nearly half of the people were withdrawn to tear the battlefield void and enter the insect swarm. The addition of a large number of conceptual-level insects brought a devastating disaster to the defense fleet.

Hundreds of queens joined forces to launch the attack, guiding the swarm’s psychic power to form huge spikes that were inserted into the human defense line. The defenses in the area where a large number of fleets were located collapsed. The crew members inside were captured by the powerful psychic power and deflected their positions, turning their guns and preparing to fire at friendly forces.

Fortunately, the Human Union had been prepared for this, and at the moment when the crew members passively rebelled, the intelligent AI took over control in accordance with emergency regulations, forcibly erased the crew’s control authority, and then turned the ship’s guns to continue firing.

When the crew found that they could not control their weapons and prepared to try to destroy the battleship, the battleship intelligently started its propulsion engine and drove the battleship towards the swarm. When the interior was about to be damaged, it actively detonated the reactor, taking the crew whose minds were captured with them on their journey.

Fireworks bloomed all over the sky, and warships rushed towards the Zerg and self-destructed to plug the gap in the defense line. The fleet in the rear made emergency adjustments to fill the position.

”Retreat, continue to retreat, avoid the attack of the Queen Mother, special warships block the attack of the concept-level bugs, and cover the fleet’s retreat.”

Chen Guanyi looked at the battlefield projection with bloodshot eyes. In just a few minutes, the losses of his fleet exceeded the total of the previous year. Thousands of legions were reduced to ashes. Billions of debris were carried by the energy tide in the sky to form a weak barrier, which was quickly eaten by the swarm of insects and turned into food for hatching the swarm.

Reinforcements were delayed in arriving, and facing the active attack of the Concept-level Queen Mother, the Human Alliance’s defense line had to retreat again and again, and could only use a large number of automatic defense weapons to slow down the enemy’s advance speed.

But doing so is just a temporary solution and will not play a decisive role. The swarm led by the Queen Mother and the swarm without the Queen Mother are completely on two different levels. A large number of conceptual-level insects lead high-level insects as vanguards, tearing holes in the human defense line. Swarms of insects swarm in and devour all the materials in the area in a short period of time, and then turn into more insects to join the swarm.

”We must resist the Queen Mother’s attack, otherwise we can’t fight this battle!” Chen Guanyi racked his brains but could not think of any good solution. All the weapons currently available on the Human Alliance’s defense line were put into the battle. The few remaining weapons were special weapons designed for other enemies. They were not very lethal to the Zerg but consumed a lot of energy.

As a last resort, in order to delay the Zerg’s attack, Chen Guanyi had to implement the final plan.

”Activate the doomsday plan, authorize the central intelligence to activate relevant equipment, and authorize each department to obtain regional authority.”

”Authorization approved, Commander Chen Guanyi of the Sixth War Zone of the Human Alliance has approved it, and the Doomsday Plan has been activated!”

Behind the human defense line, uninhabited planets in a large number of star systems were activated, the surface plates were shaking continuously, and the planetary structure was changing under the surging earth. Force field shields were linked to each other to build a special force field that spanned millions of light-years across the entire defense line. The stars in the star system were drained of energy to supply the force field, and the star light dimmed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Chen Guanyi felt heavy-hearted as he watched this scene. He didn’t want to activate this plan, but if he didn’t, once the swarm broke through the defense line and entered the rear area, everything would be over. Billions of humans would be devoured, and all the stars in the sky would be devoured. Even if humans finally expelled or annihilated them, it would cause immeasurable losses.

Therefore, it would be better to activate the final contingency plan now and turn everything in the rear galaxy into a solid barrier to block the Zerg’s attack and delay time for the arrival of reinforcements.

Once the doomsday plan was activated, each fleet was authorized to obtain corresponding autonomy and could decide whether to retreat or fight based on battlefield developments. This was to preserve the spark for the human fleet and give them a chance to escape if they were inevitably defeated.

The Human Fleet collapsed on a large scale under the attack of the Queen Mother. A large number of Zerg swarms fought with the fleet, but were blocked by the force field barrier in the rear. No matter how the Queen Mother attacked, the defense barrier that stretched for millions of light years and was powered by billions of stars remained as solid as a mountain. Before the star energy was consumed, this barrier was as stable as Mount Tai!
As the battle outside became more and more brutal, Liu Wen in the Bonuccia space discovered something strange: the subspace was moving.

There is nothing wrong with moving in the subspace itself, because it is located in the space layer, and it is normal to move under the space storm, but the movement now is different.

Laura’s projection stood in front of Liu Wen and reported to him what she had detected.

”The speed of the subspace movement is slowly increasing, and it is a directional movement. The movement trajectory is a straight line. The data from the energy absorption converter shows that the space storms along the way are in an abnormal fluctuation state, which means that the space storms are in a state of collapse where the subspace passes. To achieve this, the subspace can only directly crush it and break the space storm to form such a fluctuation curve.”

Liu Wen was puzzled as to how the subspace could move in a straight line. If an enemy discovered the existence of the subspace, they could simply connect and open a space channel to attack. Dragging the subspace in the space layer was much more difficult than locating and opening a space channel. Otherwise, there would be no need to place an order with the Interstellar Alliance to move a subspace.

Since they could only determine that the subspace was moving but didn’t know why it was moving, Liu Wen could only let Laura continue monitoring and notify Li Wenge to prepare for war.

Before he could figure out what was going on, a faint light gathered in front of Liu Wen, forming a fist-sized luminous creature with a body like a dolphin, but with four claws in place of its fins. The little dolphin circled around Liu Wen happily, and would run over to sniff his scent from time to time.

Liu Wenzhen was startled by the other party. When he was about to avoid him and check the other party’s condition, after seeing his appearance clearly, a name suddenly popped up in his mind - Star Sea Spirit Dolphin!
