Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 129 Solving Resource ProblemsChapter 129 Solving Resource Problems
Chen Guanyi was worried about the defense line, and the situation behind the defense line also became chaotic.

The people who had taken refuge in various territories had to set off again and hide in the interior of the Human Alliance. The personnel serving on the Human Alliance’s defense line were also busy packing up and preparing to move. A large number of transport ships formed long dragons deep into the void, evacuating to the rear through jump points to make room for the combat fleet.

A large number of factories and armed fortresses were taken over by intelligent AI, and various equipment stored in warehouses were ruthlessly thrown out. After connecting to the defense system, the intelligent AI deployed itself to the preset coordinate points. The transport ships responsible for transportation hurriedly returned to continue transportation.

The Zerg was still attacking, and the defense line was already unable to resist. The hives controlled by the queen became nodes, increasing the efficiency of the Zerg’s power by two or three times. Various tactical deployments were also at hand, which made Chen Guanyi frown.

Saint Qingmu in the void also discovered the problem at this time. The group of queens did not seem to be on guard against him, but rather on guard against the unknown existence on the other side of the wormhole. They always surrounded the wormhole, and the point they were at was also the best formation for a joint attack.

How powerful must this unknown existence be to make a group of Zerg queens treat it so seriously to scare them so much? If they collectively take the initiative to attack the defense line at this time, the human defense line will have to at least lose tens of millions of light years of space in exchange for time.

After Saint Aoki discovered this, he did not feel relieved but instead felt a heavy gloom in his heart.

The Intelligence Department of the Human Union also discovered this abnormal situation very quickly. Before, all the queen mothers were gathered together, and according to the usual style of the Zerg, there was nothing wrong. But after the queen mothers drove the hive to the front battlefield, leaving only the queen mother at the entrance of the space channel to wait, it was easy to find clues. However, the spy detectors they activated still did not find any traces, or there were traces but they were erased artificially, making it difficult for them to trace the source of the Zerg.

In the interstellar age, intelligence is the length of life and the magic weapon of war. The inability to obtain effective intelligence makes all the personnel in the intelligence department very uncomfortable, and they cannot even talk back when the people in the operations department curse at them.

The Human Rights League defense was fighting fiercely, and a heated meeting was taking place in Bonuccia Space.

The senior commanders of the 1001st Group Army, the 1002nd Group Army and the Tianhe Division gathered together in a conference room to discuss the allocation of their resource supply.

Li Wenge looked at Liu Wen and then at Li Kui. Seeing that neither of them wanted to speak first, he was silent for a long time before he took the initiative to speak: ”It took us more than two years to recover. The personnel have been repaired and the warship is brand new. It’s time to talk about our next work arrangements.”

”We are now in the same subspace, with limited resources, limited manpower, and technological gaps. There is not much we can do.”

”When I contacted the Human Alliance Defense Zone earlier, I learned that the enemy forces attacking the defense line had been annihilated, but another swarm of insects is coming. The Human Alliance cannot provide rescue in a short period of time, so we still need to work together for a long time.”

”So, let’s discuss the resource allocation issue first.”

Zhang Boping immediately responded, ”We know that subspace resources are limited, but ensuring the resources for the combat fleet is our top priority. We cannot cut back on this expenditure in any way.”

Xu Zemin objected: ”There is no need for combat now. How can we supply the combat fleet according to wartime regulations? There is no problem with replenishment, but it can only be done according to normal schedule. The burden of wartime supply is too great. Limited resources cannot be wasted like this.”

Liu Wen had a dark face and didn’t say a word. He just looked at the table quietly. He was very annoyed. After Li Kui woke up, he started asking him for resources and asked him to provide logistical support according to wartime regulations. But how was this possible?
Not to mention that he was not responsible for the logistics support of the 1002nd Army. Even if he was responsible for the supply, it would be impossible for him to allocate a large amount of resources to them in the closed conditions of the subspace. He did not need to supply his own fleet, or did production and scientific research not need resources? There was also a Tianhe Division whose conventional consumption was several times that of the army. Just being responsible for the daily maintenance of their psychic warships was already bleeding heavily. If he also took care of the 1001st Army, the psychic resources in Bonuccia space would be exhausted within three years. What would he do then?
As a result, the two sides had a very unpleasant quarrel. In order to obtain supplies, Li Kui even mobilized the fleet to exert pressure. High-level psychics roamed around in various star systems, exploring the military secrets and arrangements of the Star Sea Territory, and almost uncovered the seventh-level industrial zone that Liu Wen had hidden.

It was only after the Tianhe Division took action that this farce was put to an end. Otherwise, if this situation had continued, when someone broke through the military defense zone, Liu Wen would really have ordered to open fire and kill the other party, and the possibility of a civil war between the two sides would have been very high.

The reason why Li Kui dared to do this was very simple. He was stronger, and although he had no advantage in conventional weapons, he had rule-level warships and high-level psychics in his hands. He had an overwhelming advantage over the Xinghai Territory which did not have high-level combat power. If a real fight broke out, the decapitation tactics alone would be enough to cause the Xinghai Territory’s military system to collapse and disintegrate.

The reason why Li Wenge was there to balance the conflict between the two parties was mainly because he maintained contact with the Human Rights Union. After all, the communication system could only be used by Liu Wen and others after he authorized it. The highest authority was always in his hands, and his authority in the Human Rights Union was much higher than that of Liu Wen and others. Therefore, he had access to more information. With rights comes obligations.

If he sat back and watched the civil war between the two sides, he would never be able to get rid of the charge of persecuting friendly forces, because he did not have a saint father to support him.

Zhang Boping and Xu Zemin were arguing non-stop, while Liu Wen and Li Kui remained silent. Unlike Liu Wen who was angry, Li Kui had his own plans.

With limited resources, of course he would put as much as possible into his own pocket, no matter if he could eat it or not, just put it in his pocket first, it would relieve pressure when needed, even if he couldn’t use it in the end. What’s more, if he really provided supplies as usual, then the psychics under him would find it difficult to improve their cultivation, let alone make progress. How could he lead his troops if he couldn’t fight for the interests of his subordinates? This would be a big blow to his prestige.

The battle outside was fierce. According to the size of the Zerg swarm, tens of thousands of queen Zergs could breed a huge number of Zergs every day. It was impossible for the Human Union to completely repel or even kill this Zerg swarm without paying a price. During this period, even if they rebuilt the space channel, they would not be able to go out. Once they went out and encountered Zergs, they would die. Unless they could join forces with the Human Union, they would have a chance of survival.

Therefore, at this time he did not even consider the issue of rejoining the battle. As an external army group, their mission was to act as a strategic buffer, collect intelligence, and position firepower. Now that these tasks had been completed, they were lucky to be able to escape. Even the Human Alliance would not easily send them to the battlefield unless there was really no direct fleet available.

For various reasons, he also has to strive for a larger proportion of logistical supplies. This is why he started to make trouble after he woke up and knew the supply amount. He needed to show his attitude.

The two sides argued for a long time and still could not reach an agreement. Li Wenge couldn’t stand it anymore, or he was in no mood to continue arguing with them, so he made a suggestion.

”The resources in the subspace are limited, so we must make long-term plans. The war will not end in a few years, and it will take even longer for the subspace to reopen. Therefore, we must prepare for the worst. In terms of resource supply, it is best to maintain the existing combat power and increase some supplies as appropriate.” ”The fleet has a large number of personnel, and it is not good to just waste them. After a long time, people’s minds will change, so Commander Liu can find something for them to do in the industrial zone.”

Liu Wen spoke at this time: ”First of all, you must understand that Bonuccia Space is my territory. It is not my obligation to provide you with supplies. I allocate my share for your use because of our friendly forces. Giving it to you is a favor, and not giving it to you is my duty.”

”As for relying on your own strength and wanting to take it by force, I will never allow that to happen!”

Li Kui laughed and said, ”Not allowed? Why don’t you allow us? If something unexpected happens, won’t you still have to rely on us? What’s the point of guarding so many resources? Are you going to be buried with us?”

”You really want to know?” Liu Wen waved his hand to turn on the projection. Ripples appeared in the void within a star system, and the internal folded space opened. The shielding rules became invalid, revealing a huge space dock. Hundreds of rule-class warships flew out of it. As soon as the angel-shaped rule-class spacecraft appeared, it caused the alarm in the 1001st Army Group to sound. These rule-class warships have not yet been included in their friendly force list.

Li Kui narrowed his eyes slightly: ”You still have so many level 7 battleships hidden? You didn’t send them out when the Human Alliance called for them?”

Hearing the other party’s accusation, Liu Wen chuckled and said, ”If you don’t want to use your eyes, donate them to people in need. Although I don’t want to expose them now, it doesn’t hurt to let you see it.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the dock unfolded its enclosed armor, revealing the internal construction area. Inside, more than a dozen regular-class warships of varying degrees of construction appeared in front of them.

Li Wenge looked at the projection in surprise: ”Commander Liu has already mastered level 7 technology!”

Liu Wen smiled and nodded, looking at Li Kui and the other man who seemed to be very happy, and said, ”The territory had already broken through the seventh-level technology long before the war started, but it has not yet been perfected in terms of application technology, so the researchers can only manually build 30 seventh-level warships for testing.”

”And now, after a period of development, our territory has the ability to build small-scale level 7 rule-based warships. As for rule-level attack equipment, guess how many sets I have deployed in the subspace?”

When Li Kui heard the question, his face became even uglier. His advantage of high-level combat power disappeared after the opponent took out the seventh-level battleship. The shipborne equipment could not compare with the fixed equipment, both in terms of power and quantity. Therefore, the high-level combat forces under his command could not take any advantage at all. Therefore, the word ”he was strong” before was just a sarcasm to him now.

Li Kui walked away in anger. He knew very well that unless Tianhe Division supported him, he would have no hope of getting a larger share of resource supply, so he simply left.

One party left, leaving Liu Wen and Li Wenge. Liu Wen, who had taken back the initiative, discussed with the other party: ”The fleet members just need to maintain the normal supply and maintain the combat effectiveness. Those with relevant skills can earn additional resources by assisting in industrial construction. What do you think, Minister Li?”

Li Wenge naturally had no objection. Tianhe Unit 1 would have to provide a portion anyway, and their supply had always been the highest, so he had no objection.

”There is one more thing. We have prepared a plan. Here are the relevant materials. I would like to consult Minister Li. Do you have the technology or capabilities we need?” Liu Wen handed over the energy conversion plan. The related equipment was almost ready. If Li Kui hadn’t made trouble, he would have taken it out long ago.

”Energy absorption and conversion equipment? By absorbing the space energy in the space interlayer and converting it into the required energy and matter, this plan is very bold, right? Commander Liu, your territory has just been promoted to the seventh level of technology and you dare to propose such a plan. I don’t know whether to say that you are bold or reckless.” Li Wenge was shocked again by the information in his hand. If the space cannot be blocked and the space barrier is torn apart by the space storm, it will affect the entire subspace.

Liu Wen smiled and said, ”In fact, we have almost built the relevant equipment, except for the assembly and the most important space storm blocking equipment. We don’t have this, so I asked if your department can do it.”

Li Wenge thought for a moment and replied, ”It’s no problem to block the erosion of small-scale space storms. Any psychic warship can withstand a short-term space storm. It’s just that the duration and intensity are different. There is no problem with this. However, supporting the blocking barrier consumes a lot of energy for the psychic warship. If the absorption and conversion equipment cannot achieve an efficiency of more than ten times, then this plan is actually unnecessary.”

After getting a positive answer, Liu Wen was relieved. As long as he could do it, it would be fine. ”We will know how efficient it is if we try it. The first space energy absorption and conversion equipment will be assembled now. Let’s do an experiment. If the efficiency is profitable enough, then the resource problem in the subspace can be completely solved. We can even use it to expand the size of the fleet to deal with possible crises.”

The two sides hit it off and worked together to quickly build a large hollow device with a diameter of hundreds of kilometers at the edge of the subspace, and a psychic battleship was pushed into the hollow.

The equipment was running, and hundreds of large fortresses provided energy for it, forcibly tearing a gap in the space membrane. The psychic warships blocked and suppressed the space storm when it was about to enter, and channeled the scattered space energy into the equipment.

After the energy conversion, the equipment gradually solved its own energy supply problem and the mobile fortress evacuated.

The conversion equipment was running at full capacity, and various data were transmitted to the research institute. The energy conversion efficiency gradually increased, and after repeated tests, the conversion power was stabilized, which was exactly sixty-one times the consumption of the psychic battleship.

Although this data is not large, this is the first set of equipment after all. After practical verification, many places can be improved to improve efficiency.

The success of the energy conversion experiment means that they have truly solved the resource dilemma.
