Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 89 Spark RadiationChapter 89 Spark Radiation
The damage to tens of millions of intelligent warships was less than 30%, and their combat effectiveness was still at its peak. The various squadrons did not stop their firepower output at all because of the attack of special weapons. It was only because the design window was blocked by the outbreak of special weapons that the density of firepower delivery decreased.

On the other hand, the Combined Fleet’s command system collapsed because more than 300 of its legions’ main battleships were destroyed, and the remaining warships became scattered sand, which was taken advantage of by the Intelligent Fleet to continue to expand its victory.

Using the point to lead the whole, the division and encirclement formed by the Combined Fleet became a favorable formation for the Intelligent Fleet to attack the Combined Fleet. The losses of the alien fleets continued to increase, and the loss ratio between the two sides widened again.

If this situation continues, it will take less than two hours for the Combined Fleet to suffer a complete defeat due to the loss of more than half of its warships.

Michelle tried her best to maintain the formation. Yang Zhenshan in the back also looked unhappy. He kept giving Michelle advice and helping her to stabilize the situation on the battlefield.

The special attack by the intelligent machines that lasted for nearly two minutes finally ended. The warships that were forced to shut down were restarted one after another after emergency repairs, and they turned around and retreated to avoid the powerful attack of the intelligent machine fleet.

The fleet in the rear took the initiative to engage in battle and provide fire cover for the retreating warships. The situation on the battlefield changed again, and the formations of both sides were almost completely leveled.

The special warships of the Star Sea Territory also reached the strike point at this time. A huge cannon with a caliber of more than 500 meters rose on the back of the warship. A deep blue energy column tore through the void and flew into the fleet formation of the intelligent civilization in the blink of an eye.

The energy column dispersed, and the affected void showed dense cracks like falling glass. Finally, the void suddenly exploded, and violent space energy spurted out, forming a space storm with strong space vibration waves, which spread rapidly towards the surrounding void.

The energy shield of the intelligent battleship covered by the space storm was assimilated by the space energy in a few flashes, and turned around to erode the battleship. The battleship was eroded by the space energy in the blink of an eye and turned into basic particles, becoming a part of the storm.

The space storm covered an area of more than ten light seconds in just a few seconds, and gradually weakened until the space began to repair itself and the ejected space energy began to shrink.

Most of the intelligent battleships that were specifically targeted were caught in the impact of the space storm. Except for a few of the dozens of large fortresses that were outside the attack range, the rest were all turned into ashes and disappeared without a trace. Nearly three million battleships were damaged in the battle, causing the firepower of the intelligent fleet to drop by nearly 60%.

The sight of the main fleet of the intelligent machine fleet suffering a heavy blow immediately calmed the panicked hearts of the alien fleet. Their wavering confidence soared. The alien fleet took the initiative to launch a counterattack, and forced its way through the encirclement despite the still stable firepower output of the intelligent machine fleet. Relying on their numerical advantage and firepower density, they completed the division and encirclement at the cost of a large number of low-level warships covering the battle damage.

Thirty magnetic storm warships also took the opportunity to hide inside the fleet and set out, transforming the magnetic field to adapt to the communication interference. The surrounded intelligent warships began to experience large-scale command failures, the rhythm of the battle was gradually disrupted, and it was impossible to form effective firepower to block the shooting.

The warships that had withdrawn from the battlefield for emergency repairs also gradually returned to the battlefield and joined the battle sequence. The alien fleets whose command layer had been knocked out were reorganized and provided support from the sidelines. The battle changed from long-range firepower attacks to close-range bayonet fights. Both sides were already blood-thirsty. Some alien fleets that still had special weapons launched them without regard for the impact on friendly forces, and the intelligent mechanical fleets were blown up in batches.

The counterattack of the intelligent fleet was very fierce. Although the communications of many low-level warships were affected by the magnetic field disturbance, the defenses of ships above the battleships were stronger and therefore the interference was much less. Even though the command was not effective, at least they could still maintain intermittent communication.

Several special ships that had avoided various attacks and survived were restarted, and various auxiliary equipment were forced to overclock. Unknown ripples spread rapidly, crossing millions of kilometers of void and covering the joint fleet in a few seconds. A large number of warships were forced to shut down again, and were then reduced to wreckage by the counterattack of the intelligent warships.

In a flash, the situation on the battlefield reversed once again. In order to speed up the attack, the Combined Fleet got too close to the Intelligent Fleet, allowing the Intelligent Warships to easily lock onto the Combined Warships that had lost their evasive ability.

”Damn intelligent machines! Why can their special warships be deployed again so soon?” Michelle was furious when he saw this scene.

Not only did he not understand, even Yang Zhenshan, who was watching the battle and giving advice from the rear, also did not understand how the intelligent mechanical civilization did it.

Special warships are an enhanced application of existing cosmic rules. Although they cannot directly apply the rules like level seven technology, they also have such power because of the rules involved. Without level seven technology as a carrier, each use means that these equipment will need to undergo major repairs before they can be put into use again. Otherwise, they will not exist as a bottom line, and those large, slow-moving mobile fortresses and planetary fortresses will no longer be manufactured and developed.

The main reason why mobile fortresses, planetary fortresses, and even the later War Moons, mobile battle stars and other large celestial-class warships can exist and are vigorously developed by various civilizations is that special warships cannot be manufactured in large quantities and quickly.

The battlefield overlords mentioned above can do it. If you have enough resources, you can even build hundreds or thousands of them at the same time. But special warships cannot do that. Many core components rely on luck and reducing their power. The investment is greater than conventional weapons, and their use is basically one-time. Moreover, they may not be able to dominate the battlefield even if they are well prepared.

Despite Laura’s painstaking construction, only three types of special warships have been finalized in the Star Sea Territory, with a total of less than 100 ships. The resources invested in this endeavor amount to trillions of dollars. The materials that failed had their physical properties changed and were not even worth recycling, so they could only be used as basic construction materials.

Even so, even with a complete technological system that has golden finger rewards, it is still impossible to put special warships into battle repeatedly in a short period of time, and they can only rely on mutual matching to improve their efficiency.

If you want to use it multiple times, you can only risk being targeted and concentrated on the battlefield and have the engineering ship carry out emergency repairs and replace damaged parts. Using it again also means that this special warship will be completely scrapped, and the interval time in between will be as high as more than ten hours.

But how long did it take for the special warships of the intelligent civilization to be built? Was there any maintenance in the meantime?
Yang Zhenshan narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at the special warships in the intelligent fleet, as if he could see something from them.

Liu Wen watched as the combined fleet was blown up in batches. The sky was filled with flying warship wreckage and countless alien safety cabins mixed in. But at this time no one could go to rescue, and he could only watch many people being affected and killed in the firepower of the intelligent machines.

He turned his head and looked at Yang Zhenshan: ”Major General Yang, how do you look at the current situation? Should we send out a level 7 fighter to stabilize the battlefield situation? If the battle continues like this, even if the millions of warships of the combined fleet can finally wipe out the intelligent fleet, the number of warships that will survive will be less than half. This result will greatly undermine the resistance of these alien races, and it will be difficult to defeat the returning intelligent fleet!”

Yang Zhenshan shook his head slightly: ”Now is not the time yet. Besides, the alien race’s troops are gone. They are just a few legions. It’s not enough to cause serious damage.”

”I think I know how the intelligent machine civilization was able to mobilize special warships in a short period of time.”

Liu Wen was stunned and immediately asked about the specific situation of the special warships of the intelligent civilization.

Yang Zhenshan explained, ”The intelligent machine civilization is different from us. They don’t cultivate psychic energy, but they can use psychic materials. Their level 7 combat power is built up with psychic materials. Each level 7 combat power is equivalent to a sub-body of the intelligent life in an intelligent machine. Only this can control the level 7 combat power.”

”However, according to the investigation and analysis of the Intelligence Department, not every intelligent life form can successfully complete the seventh level of combat power. The probability of failure is much greater than the difficulty of manufacturing special warships.”

”Among them, there are quite a few level 7 combat forces whose auxiliary equipment can still be used after the manufacturing failed, but they were originally used to manufacture the next level of auxiliary combat robots.” ”These intelligent special warships can be put into secondary use quickly. It is very likely that some joint auxiliary equipment has borne most of the pressure on these lucky equipment, so they can be urgently repaired and put into use.”

Yang Zhenshan’s explanation does make sense, but using robot equipment with a combat power second only to level seven on a special warship is a very extravagant behavior among intelligent life forms that mainly rely on rational calculations. A flexible armed robot with a combat power second only to level seven can play a greater role on the battlefield than a special warship.

After all, battleships can be easily targeted, but it is very difficult to target armed robots with some level seven combat power. No level six civilization fleet can withstand the rule-level attack.

The two men remained silent. Yang Zhenshan was unwilling to dispatch his seventh-level combat force to turn the tide, and Liu Wen could not force him to do so. He could only hope that Michelle could use tactics to reduce the losses.

The twists and turns of the battlefield situation almost made many alien civilizations have heart attacks. A large number of warships were damaged on the battlefield, and the strategy of divide and encircle failed again and became a failed tactic that resulted in deaths.

The attack of the magnetic battleships was almost ineffective, the lost communications were gradually restored, the firepower of the intelligent fleet became more harmonious and powerful, and the blow to the combined fleet became heavier.

Fortunately, the intelligent special warship was not at the same level as after the large-scale repairs when it was used again. It only lasted for a dozen seconds before it became ineffective. The warship, which had experience once, carried out emergency manual repairs and gradually recovered the warship and began to launch a counterattack to cover friendly forces.

The two sides were caught in a strange balance. The intelligent fleet still had nearly four million warships left, and the combined fleet still had nearly seven million, nearly twice the number of the other side. However, they were suppressed by the other side through close cooperation.

Just when Liu Wen was thinking about whether to issue an order to reinforce the allied civilizations, the detector deployed in deep space once again brought bad news. The intelligent civilization had sent reinforcements of hundreds of legions on the way, and the detector detected an energy source that was suspected to be a level seven energy reaction.

When Liu Wen told Yang Zhenshan the information, the other party’s expression was exactly as it should be.

”The Intelligence Department previously believed that the other party had a lot of level seven combat power and the ability to rapidly increase its military strength. This is why it was able to grow from an ordinary intelligent machine branch to occupying an entire galaxy in just over a decade,” Yang Zhenshan explained.

”A big part of the reason why we came here this time is to find out what kind of explosive power this intelligent life has mastered that allows it to be stronger than its fellow intelligent machines.”

Liu Wen nodded without asking too many questions. It was expected that he had his own plan. Being able to explain it also proved that the other party would indeed take action to protect the joint fleet at the critical moment. This was enough.

After receiving Liu Wen’s warning, Michelle began to withdraw the fleet, gradually retreating towards the interior of the star system, allowing the star system’s defense system to share the firepower of the intelligent fleet and buy some time for the joint fleet to regroup.

Special weapons and special warships have been put into use. The joint fleet, which only has conventional weapons left, can no longer confront the hundreds of new fleets of the intelligent civilization head-on. The most core strategic goal is to shrink the defense and test the seventh-level combat power of the intelligent civilization for the advance battalion.

At this time, Liu Wen also connected with the affiliated civilization and informed them of the information transmitted back by the detector. At the same time, in the name of the commander-in-chief of the joint fleet, he ordered the dispatch of two legions from each civilization to reinforce the front line.

In order to stabilize these alien civilizations and prevent them from escaping directly, Liu Wen also deliberately pointed out that when necessary, there will be extraordinary combat power to stabilize the situation and resist the attack of the intelligent fleet.

But at this time, the alien civilization nearby became the hesitant party, and the alien forces far away from the battlefield responded first and sent fleets to the front line to reinforce.

The battle continued until the next day. The Schmincke star system was reduced to rubble, the asteroids around the battlefield were all shattered, and the three outer planets were blown up to form billions of meteorite groups.

The casualties on both sides continued to increase, but by relying on the geographical advantage, the Combined Fleet finally managed to reduce the casualty ratio to one:one.

More than five million warships of the Combined Fleet were fighting while undergoing emergency repairs, taking turns to delay the offensive pace of the intelligent fleet.

The intelligent mechanical fleet also paid the price of nearly two million warships to reach the orbit of the fourth planet in the star system, and the total number has now dropped to two million.

At this time, the reinforcements of the intelligent civilization had arrived. Hundreds of legions of troops and more than a million undamaged warships injected vitality into the intelligent fleet.

The two sides temporarily ceased fighting, and the intelligent fleet took the initiative to retreat out of the attack range. The two fleets then merged, and a large number of maintenance robots began to repair the damaged areas on the surface of the warships.

The Combined Fleet also hurriedly sent their respective engineering fleets forward to speed up the repairs and replace the nearly scrapped gun parts. Except for the personnel on duty, all the crew members inside lay down in the safety cabin and fell asleep.

Just when everyone thought that the two sides would resume fighting after the fleets had been repaired, the alarm of the detection radar suddenly rang through the sky.

”Warning! Warning! Unknown energy radiation is detected and is being transmitted at the speed of light!”

Scientific researchers in service and the fleet immediately rushed to their posts and began to analyze this unknown energy. All warships, space fortresses, etc., even those that shut down the energy output of their reactors, activated their energy shields and protective force fields.

Just when everyone had no idea what the intelligent civilization was up to, some equipment without shielding force fields and energy shields began to move abnormally, their internal energy was stimulated, and an energy wave similar to psychic power enveloped these devices.

Yang Zhenshan put down the teacup in his hand in surprise and looked into the void: ”Spark radiation? How did the spark source of silicon-based civilization appear here?”

Liu Wen thought to himself that this was not good. Needless to say, something that could surprise Yang Zhenshan so much must have the ability to change the situation of the battle. Most of the warships on the front line were undergoing emergency repairs. If unknown changes occurred at this time, if they failed to react in time, they would immediately pay a heavy price.

Just as he was about to ask Yang Zhenshan what the fire source he mentioned was and what its function was, and whether it was the thing he remembered, the on-site projection had already given an explanation.
