Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 64: Transactions from Star CreaturesChapter 64: Transactions from Star Creatures

The Star Fleet quickly leapt towards its destination and picked up the mining team back to the fleet on the way.

More than ten hours later, the fleet arrived near its destination. It was a deserted place with nothing but interstellar dust.

Just when everyone thought that there was something wrong with the coordinates provided by Boss Liu this time, Liu Wen typed out a string of codes through the space resonance instrument. The void at the coordinate location suddenly rippled, and the wreckage of a flying vehicle with a diameter of more than 30 kilometers emerged from the void.

”What is this? Space shielding technology?” Wu Shuhe looked at the tattered exterior in surprise. The holes of varying sizes had torn the aircraft armor into pieces, and one could even see the internal structure of the aircraft through the larger holes.

”Send the Marine Corps to land, find the main control room and get the authority, and do it quickly!” Liu Wen gave the order directly.

Michelle and Bai Haitang did not hesitate and passed the order to the Marines of their respective fleets. A few minutes later, dozens of landing craft flew out of the fleet and headed straight for the wreckage.

Even faster than them were dozens of reconnaissance planes, which circled around the wreckage and threw hundreds of detectors into the hole through the gap in the cave. The internal structure of the wreckage no longer had any secrets after being scanned by the detectors.

When the landing craft arrived at the wreckage, the command center had found dozens of routes leading directly to the core control room. The Marines, with armed robots as the vanguard, rushed all the way inside according to the routes provided by the command center.

After entering the wreckage, various defense facilities were activated and the Marines’ advance speed was immediately hindered.

No one knew what civilization had built this wreckage of a large aircraft. The oval-shaped structure did not have any large weapon platforms on the outside, but the various defensive weapons in the internal passages were simply a barrier at every step.

The Marines, with armed robots as their vanguard, used all kinds of high-powered energy weapons without restriction. Wherever they passed, passages were damaged, metal melted, and the supersonic scream of electromagnetic cannons never stopped.

”Should we use the naval guns to directly open a passage?” Wu Shuhe asked.

”No, it’s too dangerous to use naval guns. We don’t know what’s inside right now. If we’re not careful, it could affect the energy core. If it causes a chain reaction, we’ll be completely finished.” Shirley rejected the proposal to use naval guns. It was too dangerous. Although they were in urgent need of time, the Marines’ advancement speed would not take long.

”There will be no problem. I have verified the data. This area has many internal compartments and dense passages. It is most likely the living area. Using naval guns to open up this part can save at least an hour.” Wu Shuhe explained confidently.

”It’s not necessary for now. So far, no bodies of the maker have been found in the wreckage. Random destruction without figuring out the race is not a good option, because we don’t know whether the damaged area will contain important data and equipment.” Luo Shaohua also disagreed with this proposal and rejected it very straightforwardly.

When Wu Shuhe heard that both of them refused and Liu Wen didn’t say anything, he immediately realized that his proposal was not accepted by them, so he didn’t say anything else.

The Marines’ progress was relatively steady, and they were advancing towards the core. However, they were suffering heavy losses of armed robots, with almost three being lost for every meter they advanced. The passages were badly damaged, and they were only usable for traffic.

”Boss, the battle of the Deko civilization is over. The giant butterflies retreated on their own initiative. More than half of them were seriously injured, and the rest were also injured to some extent.” Bai Haitang suddenly spoke up to remind.

”The star system where the Deko civilization is based suffered a major blow. Four planetary bases were destroyed. The star continued to erupt under the space storm. The psyker force suffered more than 600,000 casualties, and the fleet was almost completely destroyed.”

”The giant butterflies retreated when the reinforcements from the Deko civilization arrived. According to the detectors released along the way, these butterflies are following our jump trajectory. We expect to meet them in ten hours.”

”Ten hours? How can they be faster than us? Aren’t they injured?” Luo Shaohua asked in confusion. If those butterflies had such a strong ability to jump through space, how could they have been flying kites for nearly ten days? They would have caught up with them long ago.

Bai Haitang spread his hands: ”I don’t know about this, but according to the movement speed displayed by the detector, it is indeed very fast. It only took more than ten seconds to lock our jump trajectory during the space jump.”

Michelle looked at Liu Wen and asked, ”Boss, should we speed up the process? Dismantling the various equipment in the wreckage is very time-consuming.”

Liu Wen calculated the progress of the exploration and shook his head: ”This wreckage is very valuable. It is very likely to contain high-value scientific and technological information. The risk is worth it.”

After Boss Liu said this, several people became interested in what might be in the wreckage. Although the value was not clearly stated, the fact that it was a very high value was very telling. The minerals worth hundreds of billions of contribution points in the transport ship did not have this value.

After receiving the information from their commander, Marines Wei Ming and Lena both ordered to speed up. Armed robots are cannon fodder, and as long as they can buy a little time, no matter how many sacrifices they make, it doesn’t matter, so both of them chose to increase investment to speed up.

More than half an hour later, the team led by Wei Ming and Lena arrived outside the main control room first. After physically connecting to the network of the main control room, Liu Wen input the space code into it. The five-meter-high door of the main control room opened automatically, and the defense system was not activated.

In the circular main control room, apart from a small chair in the middle, there are only a circle of manual control devices on the side. Unfortunately, the style is quite different from that of humans, so it is impossible to use them directly.

Through the Marine Corps’ portable system, Liu Wen successfully obtained the core authority of the aircraft with the key awarded by the Golden Finger. After translation, he quickly figured out the origin of the aircraft wreckage and what valuables were inside.

The wreckage of the aircraft is a sparkship of a civilization called Stone Rat. Its origin is unknown because its appearance here was an accident and the location of its mother planet can no longer be found.

The Stone Rat Civilization is a sixth-level technological civilization. Its technological direction is biased towards mechanical applications, and its weakness is energy technology.

This Spark Ship was originally carrying 10,000 elite Stone Rats and 1 billion embryos, but was besieged by the enemy during launch, causing serious damage to the outer armor. During the forced jump, it appeared in this subspace for unknown reasons. During the jump, the damaged armor caused energy to flow into the interior and annihilated all life. After arriving in this subspace, the core program entered the hidden stage according to the plan of the Spark Ship, waiting to receive the signal sent by the main Stone Rats civilization to activate or return.

But where in this subspace can we receive the signals from the Stone Rat civilization? Human civilization cannot establish real-time communication with the subspace. We can only establish a regional channel and then use the hyperspace communication base station in the space interlayer to transmit limited information, or establish a stable space channel to transmit information.

What made Liu Wen most happy was that the Spark Ship stored all the scientific and technological data of the Stone Rat civilization, as well as two level 6 industrial mother machines and a set of laboratory-level micro-industrial equipment. The warehouse also stored a large amount of high-value raw materials, which were all prepared for the rapid reconstruction of civilization. Now they were all cheap to him. ”It’s a pity that it’s just an ordinary level 6 civilization, far from the peak of level 6. But fortunately, there is a full set of physical level 6 scientific and technological knowledge. It’s only a matter of time before the industrial system in the Sera Industrial Zone is upgraded.”

Liu Wenxing excitedly asked the people in the engineering department to act quickly and move back all the usable equipment, especially the quantum mainframe that stored scientific and technological knowledge, which was the first to be relocated. Materials and equipment could be purchased, but a complete set of technology was not easy to buy, as there were so many requirements that it could make people collapse.

After the battle, the Marines were forced by the engineers to do hard labor. Even the two captains, Wei Ming and Lena, personally escorted the quantum host back to the flagship.

A few hours later, the entire Spark ship was almost dismantled, all usable equipment and materials were sent to the warehouse, and the fleet was preparing to set sail to avoid the giant butterflies.

”Oh no, boss! Those butterflies are coming!” Bai Haitang had been keeping an eye on those giant butterflies and knew their movements very well. However, he suddenly lost track of them a few jump points ago, and the next jump point did not receive the space fluctuations that should have appeared.

Just when she was wondering whether the giant butterflies had given up the pursuit, the fleet suddenly detected a faint space fluctuation, and the violent space energy emerged gently like a trickle. By the time the fleet detected something was wrong, the space jump mechanism had been formed, and the giant butterflies suddenly appeared in the void more than ten light minutes away from the fleet.

Just as Michelle was about to order the fleet to make a forced jump to avoid the void storm, a mental wave came over.

”Us, trade, kids, food.”

”What does this mean?” Luo Shaohua was confused for a moment as he looked at the motionless giant butterfly.

”They seem to be talking about trading food with us.” Shirley said uncertainly.

”What kind of transaction? And what do they mean by children?” Wu Shuhe asked with a puzzled look on his face.

Michelle was just about to ask someone to send a telepathic message when she saw the group of butterflies take out a pile of white eggs more than ten meters high from somewhere and place them in front of them. They then floated towards the fleet with a gentle force.

”We, children, give you, food, to us.”

Another wave of mental fluctuations came, and this time the information was much smoother. Everyone basically understood what the other party meant. They wanted to exchange their children and the fleet for food. Is synthetic element No. 92 so delicious that they don’t even want the children?
Everyone looked at Liu Wen in bewilderment. Only he could make the decision on this matter. Trading with star creatures or even buying and selling their children was something that had never been done before, let alone even heard of.

Liu Wen looked at the butterflies and then at the eggs that were still floating over. It would be a lie to say that he was not envious of the fighting power of the giant butterflies. However, he didn’t know how to hatch and cultivate this thing. Whether it would listen to him after hatching was still a big question.

”Activate the mind amplifier.” Put on the linker and transmit your mind fluctuations through the mind amplifier.

”I am willing to exchange with you, but how can I hatch your children and make them listen to me instead of hurting me?”

Although the needs are complicated, one can understand them by just listening to the mental fluctuations. The intelligence of the giant butterfly is no less than that of ordinary people. The meaning is not clearly conveyed only because they have never communicated with people in this way. However, it can be seen from the two exchanges that the information they convey has become more and more fluent.

”Our child, the warmth of the starlight, will hatch.”

”Before they hatch, stay close to the babies and feed them food.”

After hearing the other party’s answer, Liu Wen basically understood how to hatch and how to make the little thing obedient. He just needed to use stellar light to keep it warm, feed it high-energy food, and be close to it before it was born.

”Is there no better communication skill?” Liu Wen asked tentatively.

”No.”

The giant butterfly answered very straightforwardly. I don’t know whether it really didn’t have it or just didn’t want to give it.

Liu Wen felt that the other party just wanted to find a nanny for his child. He traded with them because there was enough food in the fleet and he didn’t have to worry about the child going hungry. He could also grow quickly by eating.

After thinking about it, Liu Wen agreed to the exchange. He didn’t know whether the various technologies he had for controlling star creatures would be useful to them. When he went out later, he could ask the Interstellar Alliance. If there was any, he could buy a better one to use.

”Give them all the synthetic fuel.” This group of butterflies can control space, and their combat power is really not low. Now they are still in the subspace. After returning to the second world and being trained, there is a great hope that they can further become star beasts at the same level as psychic masters. Then the deterrent power will increase sharply. Taking them with you when expanding outward will greatly increase the safety factor.

Several transport ships passed the fleet and flew between the two sides to open the cargo holds. They sent cans of synthetic elements to the butterflies via traction beams, and then received more than 30 giant eggs thrown by them into the cargo holds.

As soon as the giant butterflies saw countless fuel cans thrown out, they immediately fluttered their wings and rushed forward to grab food. The largest one waved its wings and beat the other butterflies. Only after there were no more butterflies to grab the food did it distribute the fuel cans.

The seriously injured butterflies received the most fuel cans, and the less seriously injured butterflies received fewer.

Everyone looked at a dozen butterflies happily taking bites of the fuel cans, flapping their wings from time to time, and it was obvious that they were in a very good mood.

After eating, the butterflies with broken wings began to recover at a speed visible to the naked eye. The originally pale and listless butterflies became energetic. Liu Wen didn’t know if it was an illusion, but he always felt that the largest one seemed a little bigger than when he first encountered it.
