The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2229: Ready to become an ArchDeity

The pressure gathering around Draco’s right arm grew so immense that the limb seemed to transform into a spear capable of collapsing the surrounding void. Space buckled. Darkness warped. The very fabric of the battlefield recoiled from the destructive intent concentrated there.

Cain drew a slow breath, his expression steady even as he understood that this strike possessed enough force to pierce his defenses. If it landed, it would wound him, perhaps gravely.

Yet, there was no hesitation in the Scarlet King. No fear. No thought of retreat.

He opened his palm.

Starlight and white flames spiraled to life around his hand, merging into a sphere that radiated the fused power of Entropy and Nihility. The Endsphere formed slowly at first, then with accelerating force, devouring the surrounding void as its unstable core expanded. Reality peeled away in threads around Cain, unable to endure the combined might of two opposing cosmic endings.

Silence fell—sharp, massive, absolute.

Red and scarlet eyes locked across the collapsing space between them. A single breath passed, stretched thin as a blade, as the Lord of the Tenth Empyrean World and the Scarlet King measured the other’s resolve.

And then they moved.

Two world-breaking forces blasted forward, leaving trails of annihilation in their wake. Draco’s puppetmaster abandoned all defense, channeling everything into a single suicidal offensive.

The old man’s life meant nothing to the Lord of the Tenth Empyrean World. After their exchange, he knew that killing Cain was not possible. However, if sacrificing Draco could cripple the Scarlet King, then it would be worth sacrificing Draco.

If Cain were wounded, the chances that the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe would have of surviving The Root would be drastically reduced.

Through the Resonance of The Flow, Cain perceived every fragment of that intention. Cold purpose filled his gaze as they closed in on the moment of collision. Just before impact, the silver light in his eyes ignited.

”Eternity Breaker!”

For the Lord of the Tenth Empyrean World, the universe froze. A sliver of time—less than a fraction of a second—was stolen from him.

And when he regained control, Cain was gone from the trajectory of the spear.

Instead, the Scarlet King was at Draco’s flank, and the Endsphere was already pressed against Draco’s chest.

The next heartbeat detonated the world.

The unleashed power of the Endsphere expanded outward, grinding through Draco’s body with annihilating force. His organs ruptured and dissolved, pulverized from within. The blast tore a hole clean through his back, spilling molten fragments of bone and burning energy into the void.

The red light in Draco’s eyes flickered violently. The puppetmaster’s connection shattered for an instant, and Draco’s true consciousness—weak, battered, drowning in pain—resurfaced.

But it was no salvation.

The moment Draco returned to himself, a geyser of scarlet flames erupted from within, consuming him from the inside out. Cain’s power seized his life force, his energy, his essence—burning him alive as they were ripped from him and pulled into the Scarlet King.

”Ahh—ggh—!”

Draco’s scream was dry, cracked, barely a voice at all. His wounds were too severe to resist. He could not fight. He could not flee. He could not even kill himself.

Cain showed no pity.

He was merciless, and when it came to the Tenth Empyrean Sun World, he was absolute.

Every iota of Draco’s remaining life and power flooded into Cain’s Rebirth Heart and Inner Universe, nourishing them, lifting them beyond their previous limits.

When the final drop of essence was absorbed, Cain’s body trembled—and a slow, widening smile appeared across his face. ”My Essence Evolution and Astral Rebirth Path of Power have reached the limit of the Prima Deity Rank.”

Excitement surged through him like a second heartbeat. Nothing stood in the way of evolving these Paths to the level of an ArchDeity. And because he had been meticulous in refining the energies he absorbed, only the highest quality was assimilated into his existence. His foundation grew deeper, his potential sharper, even though his cultivation was advancing at extraordinary speed.

The Scarlet King did not lose focus.

Only a sphere remained of Draco—his soul and ego, trembling faintly within a cocoon of dying light. Cain summoned the Scarlet Throne and sent the sphere into its depths.

The moment Draco’s soul entered, the vast dimension of the throne shuddered. Instead of concern, Cain’s smile broadened. After consuming Emprik, Champion of The Root, and thousands of Third-Realm masters from the Abyssalcrown Empyrean World, the Scarlet Throne had grown monstrously powerful. Now, with Draco’s soul, it approached the threshold of its next evolution.

”There is truly no greater path to growth than conquest.” His smile carried both thrill and anticipation as he felt his strength rise across every domain. It was timely—danger loomed ahead, and he would need all the power he could muster if he wanted to survive what came next.

But before anything else, Cain closed his eyes and sifted through Draco’s memories.

He sought the moment the old man first came into contact with the Tenth Empyrean Sun World—and any clue, any fragment, any hint of information regarding his archenemy.

Unfortunately, as with Divine Calamity, the rules of the Tenth Empyrean World had exercised total control. They revealed nothing of themselves. They had guided Draco, strengthened him, planted red light in his soul that allowed him to forcibly command the Origin Energy of his world. They had molded him steadily, relentlessly, until he stood at its peak.

And they were the architects of the world’s oppressive caste system—ensuring countless geniuses withered into mediocrity through starvation of resources.

Cain remained silent for a long time as he processed the information.

The Tenth Empyrean Sun World was terrifying. Even if establishing a foothold in the Nine Suns Universe was difficult for them, they could still send an existence on the level of Azazel. Their influence was vast, subtle, and catastrophic.

Given all that strength, one question pressed itself into Cain’s mind. ”Why do they exert so much effort to weaken the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe?”
