The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2206: The King of the Root (I)

Cain showed a wide smile as he saw the massive wounds his attack had carved into the Heart of the Root. He didn’t stop for a moment. He waved his hand, generating countless invisible blades that carved into the world-sized tumor, severing more and more pieces of it with every sweep.

Anark began to smile as well. With every fresh wound Cain inflicted, the Heart of the Root weakened further, allowing Anark to push it out of the Universe Wall faster and faster.

The Champions of the Root and High Lord Godfrey displayed dread and escalating anxiety as they watched the situation unfold. Things had reached an extremely dangerous point for them.

If they didn’t act immediately, the Heart of the Root would be expelled from the universe entirely—and once they lost their connection to the core of their cosmic power, every one of them would die under the might of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

They would become fueled for the Matrix of the universe they had come to conquer. How ignominious an end that would be.

With desperation reaching its peak, the Champions and the High Lord began burning the very threads of their existence as they attempted to push the powerhouses of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe back.

They needed to stop the True Primordials at any cost, and their rising power and desperation put immense pressure on the forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

None felt this pressure more than Cipher and Uriel, as the strength of High Lord Godfrey reached a terrifying level, yet both remained firm. They went as far as burning their own life force to shield Cain and Anark.

There was no loyalty in them toward the Primordials—they certainly weren’t risking their lives out of devotion for people they barely knew—but they understood exactly how important it was to let Cain and Anark work without interference.

Victory was within reach. The nightmare that had attempted to force its way into the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe was being pushed back. That was enough to make them push themselves to their limits and accept any wound necessary.

Cain and Anark could feel the battles raging across the void growing more violent. Pieces of the universe’s fabric collapsed into dark abysses capable of swallowing small worlds. Yet neither allowed anything to distract them from their mission.

The Alpha-Omega Overgod True Primordial kept pushing with everything he had, while the Scarlet King unleashed wave after wave of destructive attacks, pouring all the energy and vitality he had absorbed from Emprik into ripping the Heart of the Root apart.

After several excruciating minutes of pushing themselves beyond anything they thought possible, Cain and Anark’s eyes glowed—they finally saw it: the far edge of the hole the Heart of the Root had drilled through the Universe Wall. Beyond it lay a landscape of madness and chaos beyond measure, a dimension where time and space had no order. Even an Alpha-Omega Overgod, born of a stable universe, would struggle to survive there.

The smiles on Cain and Anark’s faces widened. As long as they could push the Heart of the Root completely through, the Universe Wall could begin to heal—and the abomination would cease to be a threat.

Across the Heart of the Root, countless eyes flickered in dread as it felt its mass brush against the emptiness beyond the universe. In that moment, every maw across the world-sized tumor roared in unison.

A heartbeat later, a sound echoed from deep within the Heart of the Root—one like millions of ancient branches shattering all at once, releasing something buried within.

”RUMBLE!”

The next second, an aura so horrifying, so revoltingly terrifying, exploded from the Heart of the Root that it struck Cain and Anark like a physical blow. Something primal awakened inside them—fear. Absolute, unfiltered fear.

The force was so immense it radiated through the hole in the Universe Wall, striking every powerhouse of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, every Champion of the Root, and High Lord Godfrey himself. All of them felt terror seize their hearts. All of them turned toward the Heart of the Root.

And then they saw it.

From the depths of the Heart of the Root rose a ten-meter-tall corrupted entity, its body split between petrified divinity and seething decay. One half of its form was a hardened, stone-like shell, cracked open by glowing rivers of red infection. The other half was a writhing mass of black, rotting flesh studded with countless burning orange eyes that never blinked.

Its vast wings mirrored this duality—one resembling the fallen feathers of a corrupted angel, the other a diseased shadow-growth pulsing with corruption. Red, molten energy erupted from its core as though its divinity was being consumed from within.

Its claws and tail curved like the remnants of a once-holy creature twisted far beyond recognition. The countless eyes across its corrupted side watched everything at once, spreading rot with a mere glance. Floating sigils circled it, symbols of dominion and the eternal contagion it commanded.

Time seemed to freeze as the entity manifested, its presence so overwhelming that even the Universe Will would have trembled before it.

Before anyone could speak or even move, the being flashed forward, appearing right in front of the gargantuan True Primordial of the Void.

He didn’t speak. He didn’t unleash a dramatic aura. He simply lifted one dark fist and punched.

His fist was like a speck of dust compared to Anark’s colossal form—yet the moment the blow landed, a hole tore open through the Primordial’s chest. Anark vomited mouthfuls of blood as his titanic body rocketed backward, unable to maintain control for an instant.

Anark, the strongest warrior of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, proven beyond question after defeating High Lord Rykard, was incapacitated by a single punch.

And the entity wasn’t finished.

All the eyes on its corrupted side burned with killing intent. It flashed forward again, moving to end the existence of the Primordial in the very next instant.
