The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2224: An Empyrean World plunged in scarlet flames

The Path of Conquest’s devouring and assimilating power was indescribably potent. Even after the scarlet flames purified the energy he consumed—stripping away all impurities, discarding distortions, and reducing the harvested vitality to less than one percent—the remaining essence was still immense.

That fraction alone held the force of a living star, and this world was filled with countless beings capable of feeding that power further.

But raw energy was not the only thing Cain obtained.

The moment their souls and egos were assimilated into the Scarlet Throne, he gained every memory they had ever held—centuries of experience, layers of political structure, cultivation secrets, and, most importantly, the current workings of the Abyssalcrown Empyrean World.

Just as he had predicted, the royal clans had known the location of the Light Army’s headquarters for weeks. They had already orchestrated a plan to wipe out the resistance in a single strike. The army he annihilated had been dispatched to finish the job.

Unfortunately for them, they arrived at the exact moment Cain did.

It was supreme misfortune on their part, though Cain felt no need to dwell on such trivial irony. He pushed aside all distraction, focusing instead on the knowledge he had gathered from both the Light Army’s leader and the ArchDeities he had consumed.

Piece by piece, he constructed a complete and precise picture of the world’s ruling powers: their seats of authority, their internal disputes, their hidden weaknesses, and—most importantly—where to strike.

Once he finished processing the information, Cain turned his gaze toward the elders of the Light Army.

”You should relocate your headquarters,” he said calmly. ”Its location is already fully exposed. And you will want to mobilize your forces across the world. Battles will erupt everywhere soon, and every ArchDeity on this planet will die.”

That warning—and the small fragment of information he had offered earlier—was all the assistance Cain was willing to provide. Under different circumstances, he might have helped them more; they seemed to possess a unity and courage worthy of respect. But there was simply no time to spare.

Without waiting for their answer, Cain teleported away, vanishing from the stronghold and leaving the elders alone with his words.

Duncan glanced at the other elders. His expression sharpened, carrying a fire they had not seen from him in decades.

”This is our chance,” he said quietly. ”Perhaps the only one we will ever have.”

The others fell silent. They knew exactly what he intended—and understood the immense danger it carried. But if they succeeded, even partially, then perhaps the world would cease being a perpetual hell for their people. Perhaps, for the first time in generations, they could do more than hide in the dark and cling to survival.

Cain, of course, had no idea what the elders were planning. He did not have the time nor the inclination to care. He had already shared every essential detail with them. What they did next was their own choice, their own gamble.

As for him...

It was time to move.

Time to hunt.

Time to consume and evolve.

Time to conquer.

---

Leonidas blasted through an ArchDeity-tier stronghold like a comet tearing through a dying star. The eyes of the old man were cold and absolute, his sword sweeping in arcs of annihilating force.

Each stroke carved open rifts saturated with supernova-level energy. Every swing reorganized the flow of cosmic particles, turning the very space around him into dimensional fractures. Against such might, the enemy had nothing—absolutely nothing—they could do.

A radiant smile touched Leonidas’ face as he felt the escalating power of his Alpha-Omega Overgod Cultivation Techniques. They granted him explosive increments of battle strength and allowed him to wield cosmic forces he could scarcely comprehend just a few decades earlier.

His enemies fared no better than dry leaves cast into a volcanic storm. Bodies were mangled beneath the sheer pressure of his strikes before scarlet flames surged forth, flooding their forms, devouring their vitality, draining their energy. Once nothing remained but a bare soul and stripped ego, Leonidas sent them into the Scarlet Throne to feed his cultivation and strengthen Cain’s domain.

It didn’t take long before he reached the core of the stronghold, where the ArchDeity in command was hiding. The woman of the Abyssal Clan stared at him with horror and disgust.

In desperation, she unleashed the entire energy reserve of the fortress, condensing it into a massive sphere of frozen flames—a sun of absolute cold.

Leonidas inhaled deeply, his sword raised with serene precision. ”Celestial Annihilation Blade.”

At his words, the blade released an arc of energy powerful enough to split the frozen sun in two. In the next instant, his sword pierced the woman’s chest, and scarlet flames erupted, consuming her power and feeding his growth.

---

”You! Why are you doing this!?” an ArchDeity wreathed in lightning roared. Hatred burned in his eyes as he glared at the pale-skinned man of the Abyssal Clan who had just set his floating city ablaze with scarlet flames. ”You are a member of the proud Abyssal Clan! How dare you betray your inheritance!?”

The albino man was no other than Bael, brother of Amon, and one of the first two ArchDeities to join the Scarlet Path. He looked at the man from the Abyssal Clan with nothing but revulsion. ”You sound just like my father.”

Not wasting a single breath, Bael ignited every ounce of his cultivation. The full force of his Alpha-Omega Overgod Techniques erupted, and his punches carried the weight of entire black hole clusters. Cosmic force condensed around his fists, compressing into zero-point detonations that tore through the ArchDeity’s defenses and shattered his body piece by piece.

---

In another stronghold, Amon smiled faintly as he reduced the fortress beneath him to cosmic dust. Stellar flames and plasma rippled across his skin. Every movement radiated enough power to erase entire sectors of space. And the more he destroyed, the faster his aura grew.

At the center of the collapsing fortress, an ArchDeity of the Abyssal Clan struggled desperately to maintain a defensive barrier. It was all he could do—and even that proved futile. Every passing second lowered his chances of survival.

All others had already been consumed by scarlet flames.

And soon, he too would be erased—another fragment of power feeding the Path of Conquest.
