Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 640: Chapter 640: Young and Promising, Exceptionally Gifted

Moreover, their mom passed away early, and none of their maternal relatives truly cared for the second brother, so as the elder sister, she naturally had to be more cautious.

Yunyi nodded as she listened and said, ”I’ll first prescribe you a few doses of Chinese medicine. Drink it for seven days initially to adjust the body. Of course, during this period, his nutrition must also be maintained, otherwise his body might not withstand the treatment.”

Luo Qiushuang looked pleased and said, ”Okay, I’ll remember. Just tell me any precautions as well.”

Yunyi explained the taboos during the treatment: ”Take the Chinese medicine for seven days initially, then come back again so we can adjust the prescription based on his condition. This Chinese medicine requires at least two courses.

When you come back for the prescription adjustment the second time, I’ll give you a prescription for a medicinal paste. You need to get the medicine first, and I’ll help you make the paste. After the traditional medicine has adjusted the body, you’ll need to apply the paste daily along with acupuncture to repair the damaged nerves.”

Luo Qiushuang didn’t understand these things but still asked, ”How long do I need to apply this paste, and what are the costs? I’d like to have an idea.”

Yunyi, while writing the prescription, said, ”Some of the medicines in the paste are indeed not cheap, but they’re not rare herbs either. Conservatively estimated, a month’s supply of paste might cost between thirteen to twenty dollars, and it may need to be used for about four to five months.”

Upon hearing this, Luo Qiushuang gritted her teeth and said, ”Doctor Chu, I understand. I’ll rely on you for the upcoming treatment.”

Yunyi finished writing the prescription: ”This is my duty, so there’s no need to be so polite. Take this prescription and get the medicine first, to adjust his body.”

Luo Qiushuang happily took the prescription, thanked her, and then pushed her brother Luo Qiuxi away.

Director Qiao hadn’t left and watched as Yunyi treated patients, becoming more and more impressed. He couldn’t help but marvel internally: It seems Doctor Chu’s medical skills are still understated by others; from his perspective, she is truly young and talented.

He made a decision in his heart to bring his little sister over as soon as possible, lest Doctor Chu leaves and they have to travel far with his sister to seek medical help.

By the time all the patients outside were diagnosed, it was almost noon.

Those who were paid to cause trouble suddenly realized that the doctor indeed diagnosed their conditions accurately and dared not make a fuss.

In just one morning, the news of Yunyi’s excellent medical skills had spread.

After Yunyi finished her work, Director Qiao approached and said, ”Doctor Chu, there’s something I want to consult with you.”

Yunyi smiled and said, ”Director Qiao, go ahead, I’ll definitely tell you all I know.”

Director Qiao, a bit embarrassed, said, ”I noticed that you basically used traditional Chinese medicine to treat people all morning, but I heard that you are also very skilled in Western medicine. I wonder if you can perform surgery for leg deformities?”

Yunyi thought for a moment and replied, ”Director Qiao, there are many causes of leg deformities. If it’s genu varum or valgum, and the deformity is mild with a young patient, conservative treatment is usually sufficient for correction.”

Director Qiao sighed lightly, ”The age is not exactly young, already sixteen years old.”

Yunyi was a bit puzzled, ”Is it due to acquired damage?”

Director Qiao shook his head, ”No, it wasn’t this severe when she was young, but after twelve, whether due to developmental issues or something else, the condition worsened. The family even took her to the city to see doctors, who said she needed osteotomy for correction. At that time, the city’s hospital could perform the surgery, but the doctor had gone to Beijing for further training, so the matter was delayed.”
