Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 638: Chapter 638: Most Hated Being Manipulated

Most of the patients who visit Yunyi have some health issues, and Yunyi can often more or less identify them. Once the patients see that he is indeed skilled, they naturally give up any thoughts of causing trouble.

However, there are also those who pretend to have an illness. Just now, here comes one.

After Yunyi took her pulse and found no problems, he asked: ”Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

The person looked up at Yunyi: ”Didn’t you just take my pulse? Can’t you tell?”

Hearing her tone, Yunyi understood that the highlight of today had arrived, and he casually replied: ”I did take your pulse, but I didn’t find any issues, so I thought I’d ask you.

Could it be that you don’t know where you feel unwell yourself?”

The woman was flustered for a moment, then forced herself to calm down and said angrily: ”Can you even diagnose illnesses?”

Yunyi stood up and moved behind her, pressing lightly on several of her acupuncture points: ”Your body has no issues, but a month from now, it’s hard to say. You should do more good deeds in the meantime.”

The woman stood up immediately: ”You can’t even tell if there’s anything wrong now, and you’re talking about next month? Just admit you can’t diagnose.”

Yunyi glanced at Ning Linmei next to her: ”Please bring Director Qiao here to check this patient once more.”

Upon hearing this, the woman turned to leave, but Yunyi wasn’t about to let her go so easily and said: ”I really dislike being manipulated, so since you said that, I must make sure you’re convinced.”

Ning Linmei acted swiftly. Director Qiao was already a bit uneasy and had been waiting all morning, and sure enough, just as he thought it, it happened: ”Doctor Chu, why did you call me over?”

Yunyi spoke unhurriedly: ”This patient’s situation is a bit special. She can’t say where she feels unwell, and I didn’t diagnose any illness. I’d like Director Qiao to personally check her. I’m genuinely worried that my medical skills are inadequate and I might have missed something.”

Director Qiao naturally wouldn’t refuse. He immediately understood that this woman was likely instigated by someone to cause trouble.

Yunyi stepped aside, letting Director Qiao begin the examination. After checking her pulse, Director Qiao frowned and asked: ”Your body indeed has no problems, so where is it that you feel unwell?”

The woman hemmed and hawed for a long time, unable to say anything, and finally lied: ”I have a backache. Anytime I do heavy work, my back can’t straighten.”

Director Qiao and Yunyi exchanged a glance, and Director Qiao said: ”If that’s the case, I’ll prescribe some Western medicine for you to take home. Take a tablet whenever your back hurts.”

The woman wouldn’t agree to that. She wasn’t sick, and if she really took the medicine, wouldn’t that be a waste of money: ”Forget it, I won’t need the treatment.”

As she walked out, Yunyi calmly said behind her: ”If your lower back really feels uncomfortable a month later, remember to come find me. I’ll definitely help you with a proper diagnosis.”

Hearing Yunyi’s words, the woman spat inwardly: ”You’re the one who’ll feel unwell in a month, bad luck.”

After the woman left, Director Qiao returned the spot to Yunyi and stood to the side.

He didn’t leave right away but stayed there, watching as Yunyi helped others with their diagnoses smoothly.

He had to admit, this young lady was really impressive. Thinking of how she had taken Yuan Yuxun as her mentor, he thought she wouldn’t be staying here much longer, which made him feel a bit regretful.

Considering his own little sister’s illness, it seemed he’d better have someone bring her back from the hometown quickly, thinking that maybe Doctor Chu in front of him could really heal his sister.
