Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 635: Chapter 635: A Pillow for a Sleeping Head

The Jiao Family had some connections with the previous director, and Director Feng knew this, so to save face for the old director, he turned a blind eye to Director Jiao’s actions in the factory, as a favor to the old director.

But today, Director Feng was truly angry.

The matter of Chuyunyi coming to work at the Workers’ Hospital was initiated by Director Qiao, with unanimous approval from the factory office leaders, yet Director Jiao’s niece suddenly and baselessly accused her, suspecting something shady in front of so many people?

Previously, he could ignore things that weren’t related to him, but now that it concerns his reputation, this matter can’t be overlooked. He was giving face to the old director, not to Jiao Chunqiu.

Furthermore, the person being slandered was Vice Factory Director Huo’s fiancée. That young girl seemed weak, but unexpectedly, she reported to the police in disagreement. It seems she’s decisive, wanting to ”strike first to prevent further problems,” aiming to deter those looking to cause trouble through Gu Mifeng.

She is indeed a smart person.

The news quickly spread in the residential building: ”That fiancée of Vice Factory Director Huo doesn’t seem to be easy to deal with. With such a small matter, she didn’t go to the security department but reported directly to the police; she’s really ruthless.”

”Don’t you know how overbearing Gu Mifeng is in the factory? Remember, Director Jiao’s nephew is in the security department, so they’d suppress the matter. In my opinion, Vice Factory Director Huo’s fiancée is the smart one.”

”Why are you praising her? Being smart means offending people as soon as she arrives. Originally, it was a trivial matter, a situation the security department could handle, yet she insisted on making it a police matter, bringing disgrace to the factory?”

”What do you understand? If the factory’s security department were involved, bias would be unavoidable. If they favor her because of Vice Factory Director Huo, Gu Mifeng wouldn’t let it go. With Gu Mifeng’s nature, she’d make a bigger fuss, eventually affecting Vice Factory Director Huo’s reputation.

If they let Director Jiao’s nephew Jiao Erming handle it, he’d certainly side with Gu Mifeng. Then this issue would drag on. Naturally, she wouldn’t want that. Reporting directly to the police is the most sensible choice.”

Everyone understood clearly. This way, Vice Factory Director Huo was directly relieved from the situation, and dealing with it became the matter of the police.

Director Feng returned to the office and had his secretary notify the factory office leaders to hold a brief meeting, mainly discussing today’s incident.

A quick investigation was conducted in the workshop, and because Jiao Chunqiu often indulged his niece, many people in the factory held strong opinions against Director Jiao. Unexpected findings emerged; it was shocking once investigated.

Gu Mifeng was indeed excessive. During work hours, due to interpersonal conflicts with female colleagues, she secretly tarnished others’ reputations, using the method on at least three female workers, with Jiao Chunqiu continuously covering up for her, which also exposed his own misdeeds.

Very quickly, the decisions regarding Jiao Chunqiu and Gu Mifeng were delivered in written form. Given Jiao Chunqiu’s actions, he was deemed unfit for his position, and his role was demoted from Director to Group Leader.

Gu Mifeng, as Director Feng originally stated, was transferred to the boiler room.

Actually, Director Feng had long been displeased with Jiao Chunqiu; a workshop director always treated trivial matters as important, behaving uniquely, and frequently making demands, which irritated him immensely.

But due to the old director’s face, he couldn’t find an opportunity.

Now, just as he needed it, an opportunity presented itself.
