Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 540: Chapter 540: Go to the Hospital for a Checkup Right Away, Don’t Delay

Fang Minjuan’s mind was in total chaos right now, with no ability to think freely. Hearing her sister-in-law’s words, she quickly rolled up her sleeve.

Sure enough, her arm was also covered in tiny red spots.

Shui Linghua had seen this kind of illness before; she’d heard it was contagious and quickly turned to leave: ”You should go to the hospital for a check-up right away, don’t delay.”

As she was leaving, she didn’t forget to drag her husband who was standing outside the room along with her.

As they walked, she spoke to her husband: ”Hongtai, the way Sister-in-law looks, it might be contagious. Quickly find someone to disinfect the house, and we need to discuss with Dad what to do next.”

Pan Hongtai looked incredulous: ”Linghua, you can’t just say that carelessly.”

Shui Linghua gave her husband a cold look: ”Pan Hongtai, what do you mean by that?”

Seeing his wife was angry, Pan Hongtai quickly explained: ”I didn’t mean anything else, she hasn’t seen a doctor yet. If your words get out, who knows what kind of unpleasant rumors might spread.”

Then he muttered in a low voice: ”Mainly because your relationship wasn’t good to begin with, it’s easier for people to misunderstand.”

Shui Linghua thought about it and realized it made sense: ”Alright then, let Dad make the decision. You talk to him; I’m quite busy at work these few days, so I’ll stay in the dormitory for now.”

After saying that, regardless of her husband’s expression, she hurried to their two sons’ room. The Pan Family hadn’t split up, and all three families lived in the old man’s house, so they couldn’t possibly all have their own rooms.

The two sons from the Main Consort slept in one room.

Pan Zhenyu heard knocking and sleepily got up to open the door, seeing his mom standing outside: ”Mom, what happened? You were calling so loudly just now?”

Shui Linghua couldn’t bother with anything else and pushed her way in with her son: ”Quickly wake up Zhenxing, I have something to tell you both, hurry.”

At that moment, Pan Zhenxing was waking up too: ”Mom, what do you need to tell us?”

Shui Linghua walked over and pulled off her second son’s quilt: ”Get up quickly and pack your daily necessities, you two shouldn’t stay at home for the next few days.”

Pan Zhenyu and Pan Zhenxing exchanged a glance: ”Mom, what’s going on?”

Afraid they’d keep asking and waste time, Shui Linghua said: ”Your Second Aunt is sick. I went over to take a look just now, and I’ve seen something like that elsewhere before. The doctor then said it was infectious, so it’s better to be cautious. Quickly pack up and find somewhere else to stay for a bit.”

As soon as they heard this, any drowsiness fled, and they hurried to take action.

Meanwhile, upon hearing his eldest son’s words, the Pan Family patriarch furrowed his brows: ”Then what are we waiting for? Quickly have the Second Brother take her to the hospital and get someone to disinfect the house thoroughly inside and out.”

Afraid of rumors spreading: ”Don’t announce this too widely, to keep everyone in the family from being worried sick and causing more trouble.”

Pan Hongtai agreed with the old man; he understood what the old man meant and feared that if his sister-in-law didn’t have an infectious disease, it would create a rift with the Second Wife’s family.

Fang Minjuan was afraid of disfigurement and had already gone to the hospital for a check-up with her husband, Pan Hongkun.

Following the patriarch’s instructions, Pan Hongtai quickly called someone to the house. To avoid unnecessary trouble, he personally went to the gate to meet them.

He ensured the entire Pan Family house was thoroughly disinfected inside and out, finally feeling at ease.
