Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 438: ’Ruler of the Eternal Nirvana’, Riya’s ’Path’ of Love... Part-2.

Even Ashtel needed the power and comprehension of a peak SS ranker and a great chance to comprehend the laws of the world to get the ’Blessing of the World’s Protection’.

Yet, Riya completely skipped every complicated process and blessed the person she loves the most with the ’Blessing of the World’s Protection’.

Not only did she literally force the ’World’ to grant its protection to Link, she even made it give various other blessings to boost Link’s power.

After the Oaklum incident, it may seem that Link and Rio were the ones who learned the most as they created new techniques to counter Alverto...

But the truth is that the person who learned the most from that incident was none other than Riya herself.

She realized how fragile someone’s life can be.

One moment they are happily laughing and talking with you, while the other they can be lying in your arms lifeless and silent as you watch it all happening completely helpless.

Rio and Link weren’t the only ones who decided to have techniques that could counter Alverto’s skills.

The world’s blessings that Riya granted Link not only block most of the attacks but also heavily counter Alverto’s skills.

For example, the ’Blessing of the World’s Stable Realms’ causes the ’Space-time’ fabric around the blessed person to stabilize to the extreme.

Thus, every space or time elemental type attack will become extremely weak as the space-time fabric will become harder to disturb.

And Alverto’s main abilities are related to time elementals!

These blessings will be reducing their power by a great margin, making it hundreds of times easier to deal with Alverto.

The only weakness of these various blessings is that Riya can’t activate them if she’s not hugging Link’s back in her astral form.

In the first place, the only reason that Riya can even activate these blessings all at once is because she wants to protect the person she loves.

Her love for Link is so immense that even the ’World’ had to acknowledge it; thus, whenever she’s in direct contact with him, she can grant him power by forcing the world to use the power of her ’Path’ of Love.

Alverto was wary of Ashtel and Jin, but he never even considered Riya to be someone who he needed to be wary of, which is the biggest mistake he has made in his grand plan.

As the ’Ruler of Eternal Nirvana’ and the one who walks the ’Path’ of ’Love’, ’Cure’, and ’Protection’, Riya is the biggest nemesis of Alverto.

The very moment Link and Riya appeared on the lower floor, Alverto could feel the surroundings change.

”This!?... The space-time fabric solidified... what kind of ability is this!?...”

A look of incredible shock appeared on Alverto’s face for the first time.

’The aura of the world’s blessing!? I sensed this same aura on Ashtel when he was fighting Neo in the upper floors...’

’But why does these kids have that same aura!?’

’Moreover, the aura surrounding them is even more powerful than Ashtel’s!!’

Alverto could feel immense repulsion and suppression when facing against Link and Riya.

His eyes narrowed, and he immediately became serious.

Up until now, he was just trying to use Lia and Riko to lure the rest of the people to come and fight and was purposely avoiding killing them.

But with the entrance of Link and Riya, everything has changed; he can’t afford to waste anymore time now.

’The interference from the blessing of the world is way too powerful; I must eliminate these two or it will become difficult to operate the Spire of Ascension later!’

’No wonder the Spire of Ascension brought these two inside; these two are one of the biggest roadblocks in my path!’

’As long as they are alive, it will be difficult for the spire of ascension to bring out it’s full power!!’

[Miasmic Curse Art: Tide of Miasmic Rush!]

Alverto immediately aimed his spear towards Lia, as he wanted to finish the small fries first before he could focus on Link and Riya.

His figure blurred, and he appeared in front of Lia in an instant as if he had teleported!

His entire body was covered in dense concentrated miasma along with his spear as he thrust his spear forward to pierce Lia’s head with a single strike!

Yet, to his surprise, Lia twisted her upper torso sideways, preventing her head from being pierced by the spear right before his spear could hit her.

Although Alverto’s ability to use time elementals was heavily de-buffed, Lia can still use her foresight ability at full capacity!

She already knew that he would try to attack him first, so she easily dodged to the side!

[Divine Dragon Martial Art: Heaven’s Equal: Fist of the Dragon Sage!]

Link kicked the ocean surface below his feet and launched at Alverto with insane momentum.

The various blessings given by Riya increased his powers, and the basic boost in stats made him equal to an early SS ranker in terms of stats alone!

Even Alverto was surprised by this insane speed, and Link’s fist directly hit him in the face!

*BOOOM!*

Alverto’s body flew away from the impact of that attack, and the shockwave produced by the impact of that attack created gigantic waves on the surface of the vast ocean!

”Oi Oi! Don’t ignore me and attack others first! Your opponent is me! Come! Attack me!”

Hearing Link’s mocking voice, a frown appeared on Alverto’s face.

His helmet was broken, and a clear punch mark appeared on Alverto’s face. This is the first injury he has suffered that he’s been unable to heal from the very beginning when he started to fight against Jin.

The ’Blessing of the World’s Gaze’ granted by Riya makes this fixed area near Link come under the ’Gaze of the World’.

In other words, as long as this blessing is activated, Alverto will be under the strict gaze of the ’World’, and the ’World’ will not allow him to use skills that go against its principles!

Due to this, Alverto can’t use the Spire of Ascension’s power to heal or boost himself now; moreover, as a demon, he will be heavily de-buffed when under the ’Gaze of the world’!

His base stats will get lower, and the effects of his skills will become weaker by a large margin.

Demons are like ’Cancer’ to this world, and as the ’Ruler and inheritor of Eternal Nirvana’, Riya is allowed to mobilize the ’Law’ of ’Cure’ to deal with these ’Cancer’.

Thus, she can maintain the blessings of the ’World’ without consuming any mana or mental spirit; all of the burden to cast so many world blessings will be born by the world itself!

Even Ashtel could not accomplish this insane feat and was having trouble supporting the ’Blessing of the World’s Protection’ with his mana and mental fortitude despite being a peak SS ranker.

Yet, Riya could pull it off without any worries despite being so much weaker than him in terms of mana capacity and mental fortitude.

[Command of a Protector: Stage of the grand healer: Endless Land of Pure Healing!]

Riya raised her arm and cast an AOE-type healing skill that covered a ten-kilometer-wide area with her as the center.

In this healing area, all of her allies will be continuously healed.

Alverto is a demon, so Riya’s healing magic is like poison to him; thus, she decided to forcefully make her healing magic enter his body.

As long as he’s in this field of healing, his body will keep getting healed by her, thus causing him heavy damage every second.

”I will kill you!!!”

Alverto felt immense pain all over his entire body as healing magic entered his body like crazy, causing him to lose his mind for a second.

He couldn’t bear it anymore; Riya’s presence became the biggest problem for him; as long as he doesn’t kill her, he will always be at a massive disadvantage!

[Imperial Demon Spear Art: Miasmic Spear of Death!]

He covered his spear in miasma and immediately rushed forward to kill Riya.

But he seemed to have forgotten one crucial thing: Riya isn’t someone he can target before going through Link.

[Dao Rhythm!]

[Divine Dragon Martial Art: Perfect Stone Block!]

Link crossed his arms around his chest and used his body to directly block Alverto’s attack with his ’Dao Rhythm’!

As long as he’s there, it’s impossible for anyone to attack Riya before dealing with him.

This is the exact reason why Riya completely let go of all her defenses and fully focused on pouring her powers to heal and bless Link instead.

She knew that Link would protect her, and she just needed to trust him with all her heart.

Link himself has an HP bar as big as a regular SS-ranker despite being just an A ranker, and now that he’s being constantly healed endlessly by Riya’s Astral form, his HP is off the charts!

Even if he just stands there and does nothing, even an S-ranker will die from exhaustion just trying to reduce his HP.

”You are so d*mn annoying! Get out of my way!”

Alverto roared in a hoarse voice as the pain from the healing magic continued to torment his body.

But Link didn’t even budge a single inch at all.

”I would rather die than let you touch a single strand of her hair! Just stay quiet and get purified by her magic!”

Seeing the golden opportunity, Lia and Riko also started to work as support and bombarded Alverto with various skills and attacks to injure him.

Every time he tries to do fatal damage, Lia will easily dodge and help Riko avoid his attacks using foresight, then Link will forcefully get in his way and block everything with his thick skin!
