“Let’s go, let’s go.”

Liang Ruoxu pulled Lin Yi away quickly.

Liang Ruoxu felt that she had done something wrong by breaking up the couple despite not doing anything.

Lin Yi was also a little helpless. He wasn’t going to take the blame!

After leaving the crowd, the two of them continued to stroll around West Lake.

Lin Yi even rented a boat and took Liang Ruoxu to row it.

However, the physical work of rowing the boat naturally fell on Lin Yi. Liang Ruoxu was only responsible for looking at the surrounding scenery.

The sun was shining brightly on the horizon, and the scenery was perfect. The water was glistening, and a cool breeze blew. Liang Ruoxu suddenly thought of a poem by Hai Zi.

The grass is knotting its seed,

The wind is shaking its leaves,

We stood and did not speak. It was very beautiful.

Liang Ruoxu felt that everything in front of her fitted this perfectly. With someone important, one would not feel bored even if they did nothing.

After rowing the boat, the two of them went ashore. Liang Ruoxu pointed at a small stall not far away and said,

“I’m a little hungry. Go buy me a crispy sesame seed cake.”

“The one with the stuffing in the middle?”

“That one. I want beef. Don’t buy the wrong one.”

“What’s so good about that thing? I’ll bring you to a feast later.”

“I’m really not interested in feasts. This kind of street food is my favorite thing to eat,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“Besides, I haven’t had enough fun yet. I have to play for a while more.”

Liang Ruoxu’s greatest strength was her down-to-earthness.

It was possible all the children from the political courtyard had this common problem.

None of them were simple. They could eat high-end three-star Michelin and go to a food stall to drink beer and chew the fat.

“I’ll buy it for you now.”

Lin Yi walked to the stall in front and bought four crispy sesame cakes and two bottles of mineral water.

It was not only for Liang Ruoxu as he was also a little hungry.

The two of them ate the sesame seed cake while strolling around West Lake. They were very satisfied.

“There seems to be a tent up ahead. Is it a circus performance?”

Liang Ruoxu stood on her tiptoes and looked ahead.

“Does your family’s circus print skulls on tents?”

“My eyesight isn’t as good as yours, how can I see so clearly?” Liang Ruofu said arrogantly, then pulled Lin Yi. “Come, let’s go take a look.”

The two of them quickened their pace and walked in the direction of the large tent.

Only then did he realize that it was a haunted house.

Moreover, they even showed a ranking, claiming it to be the number one rural hospital haunted house in Sunrise Land.

“There are actually so many people lined up? Is this sort of thing that fun?”

“So you’ve never tried it before?”

“I’ve never tried it before. When I was young, the thing I played with the most was guns.” Liang Ruoxu combed her hair and said.

“I haven’t touched the latest models released in the past few years, but I’ve tried all the models from five years ago.”

“I also have a gun here. You can take it and try it tonight. Let’s see how powerful it is.”

“You have such a thing? Domestic control…”

Liang Ruoxu stopped mid-sentence. She suddenly understood what Lin Yi was talking about.

“If the firepower isn’t strong enough, I’ll buy you medicine.”

Huh???

There was a chance today!

“Okay, I’ll buy medicine for you.”

“Get me some painkillers; it’s that time of the month.”

“Well, then, what do you want? How about some antihemorrhagic medicine?”

“I’ll strangle you! I think you don’t want me to live.” Liang Ruoxu pushed Lin Yi arrogantly. “Buy the tickets.”

“Sure thing.”

Following Liang Ruoxu’s instructions, Lin Yi went to buy the tickets.

It was 240 yuan per ticket. From the perspective of ordinary people, this price was not cheap.

However, there were quite a few people queuing up. Most of them were young men and women, and some were even eighteen or nineteen years old. People like Lin Yi and Liang Ruoxu were considered old in comparison to them.

“Boss Ma, that pickpocket job just now was a real winner. I swiped a brand new Huawei phone and over 400 bucks in cash. If I sell it, I’ll make at least 5000 bucks.”

The speaker was a short guy with short hair, a bit shifty-looking, and he was boasting to the man next to him.

“Great job on that one. I’ve spotted a new target myself. I’m thinking of tailing them soon, and I’m sure there’s a good haul to be made.”

The man they called Boss Ma, whose name was Ma Qiang, was a renowned pickpocket in Yuhang City, affiliated with the Nine Mountains Society’s Runma Hall. People in the hall were used to calling him Boss Ma. He had been making a living by stealing for over a decade and never once got caught or failed!

“Brother Ma, who have you set your sights on?” the short man asked.

“With your level, you should be a rich person. Ordinary people don’t catch your eye.”

“He must be very rich.” Ma Qiang pointed at Lin Yi and Liang Ruoxu.

“That man’s watch is a Richard Mille. The cheapest one costs hundreds of thousands. The woman is wearing a blue diamond earring. I’m guessing it’s at least a million yuan. Ordinary people can’t afford such accessories.”

The short man looked at Lin Yi and Liang Ruoxu.

“Could it be a fake? Richard Mille watches arc all over the street. The studs she wears could also be worthless sapphires.”

“With your eyesight, it’s no wonder you haven’t become a disciple yet. Your eyesight is too poor.”

After working for so many years, Ma Qiang’s standards were second to none. His eyes were extremely sharp.

He could tell at a glance that the things Lin Yi and Liang Ruo needed were real.

The short man’s eyes shone with golden light.

“If it’s true, we’ll make a killing. There must be a lot of good stuff in that woman’s bag.”

“I’ve waited here for a whole day and only found these two big fish. I have to make a killing.”

“Then hurry up and prepare. I think they’re going in.”

Ma Qiang nodded. “Wait here. I’ll be out in a while.”

With that, Ma Qiang followed Lin Yi and Liang Ruoxu into the tent.

There were ten people in each group, and these ten people consisted of either couples or friends.

After entering, they gathered in groups. Only Ma Qiang stood out.

However, at this moment, no one noticed him as they walked straight in.

As soon as they entered the tent, they could smell the strong smell of formalin.

The set inside was an abandoned hospital. There was trash everywhere, but it was made of props. One could even see red blood and newborn baby props.

‘Ah!’

‘Ah!’

‘Ah!’

Before they had done much, they could already hear bursts of screams.

Liang Ruoxu furrowed his brow slightly, wondering why there was all this commotion.

Meanwhile, Ma Qiang, taking advantage of the situation, moved in front of Lin Yi, Liang Ruoxu, and the others, so as not to arouse suspicion. Even so, he would occasionally glance back at the two with a very seasoned technique.

Lin Yi shook his head helplessly.

Why was this different from the script he had imagined?

The scene was quite terrifying and realistic. Why did Liang Ruoxu not react at all?

He was already being helped by the haunted house, but would he really not be able to take advantage of her?
