“Is all the land in Dongsan County like this?” Lin Yi stood up and asked.

“Pretty much.” Li Sijin said,

“Not only is the soil environment not good, but the water rises every year, and flood prevention is not good. People are affected by this disaster every year. It only adds insult to injury.”

“There’s a river nearby?”

“Yes.” Li Sijin said,

“It’s about ten minutes away, but it’s not the rainy season yet, so there’s not much water in the river. We won’t see much if we go.”

The soil and environment were not good. This was a natural phenomenon and no one could control it. However, if the issue was that the flood was not managed well, it could be considered to be a man-made disaster.

“Let’s go and take a look.”

“Yeah.”

The three of them got into the car again and drove in the direction Li Sijin told them to.

“The bridge in front of us is called Sanyuan Bridge. Below it is Sanyuan River,” Li Sijin said.

Lin Yi nodded and parked the car nearby. He went down to take a look.

Sanyuan River was a sandy river. It was about three meters deep and seven to eight meters wide.

It was not the rainy season and was in a dry state. At this moment, the water surface was only two meters wide and less than a meter deep.

There were trees on both sides of the riverbank. They looked ordinary and there was nothing special about them.

There was no way to turn this into a tourist hotspot.

“Eh, there seems to be someone excavating the sand over there.”

Wang Ting’s exclamation attracted Lin Yi and Li Sijin’s attention, and they all turned around.

He found two large trucks parked on the riverbed behind them. Below them were a dozen workers busy loading sand.

They even used conveyor belts, and the operation was very skillful.

“Are these sand diggers from the county?” Lin Yi asked.

Li Sijin thought for a moment. “1 don’t think I’ve heard of any mines in the county.”

“Why are you thinking so much? We’ll understand the situation when we go over and take a look,” Wang Ting said.

“This matter has nothing to do with us. It’s under the purview of the Water Resources Department. Do we need to bother about it?” Li Sijin said.

“This is overstepping my authority.”

Because she had been a college student and a village official before, Li Sijin knew a little about this.

She felt that this was not a good idea.

“Let’s go take a look.” Lin Yi said.

“They’re digging into the f*cking riverbed. It’s bullshit.”

After making up their minds, the three of them walked around and found a gentle slope. They went down to the riverbed and walked towards the person excavating.

Seeing Lin Yi and the other two coming over, the people excavators stopped what they were doing and looked at the three of them, not knowing what the trio were doing.

“Do you have a mining license?” Lin Yi got out of the car and asked.

At the same time, two people walked over from not far away. They were both young, only about 30 years old. They had cigarettes in their mouths and looked like hooligans.

After walking over, their gazes landed on Li Sijin and Wang Ting, and they sized them up for a long time.

“What are you looking at? I’m asking you a question.”

Wang Ting, who came from a rich family, had the temper of a young lady. She had no regard for these people at all.

“You’re young, but you have quite a fierce temper,” said the freckled man.

“Get the hell out of here, don’t mess with this, or Master Wu will have you killed,” he said.

After cursing, the freckled man called for the workers behind him to continue working.

“From the way you’re talking, it seems you don’t have any mining permits at all,” Lin Yi said.

“Do you know how much of a safety hazard you will cause if you mine like this?”

“Are you f*cking sick? Don’t be a busybody here. This is Master Wu’s business job. If you don’t want to die, get lost.”

“Call the police. I don’t want to talk nonsense with them anymore,” Lin Yi said to Li Sijin.

Li Shijin took out her phone, ready to call the police as Lin Yi had instructed.

However, the freckled man pointed at Lin Yi and said,

“If you dare to call the police, 1’11 kill you here!”

Lin Yi reached out and grabbed the freckled man’s finger, forcefully pulling it back.

■Ah!’

The freckled man screamed. His body twisted and he curled up on the ground.

“Get your f*cking hands off me!”

Another person took a shovel from the worker’s hand and slammed it at Lin Yi!

Lin Yi reached out his left hand and grabbed the shovel!

The other man’s expression changed. He didn’t expect Lin Yi to be so strong.

Just as he was in a daze, Lin Yi pulled him over and kicked him!

The latter was sent flying. Lin Yi gripped the shovel in his left hand and whacked the freckled man’s face, leaving his head covered in blood. The man looked miserable!

“All!”

Li Chaojin screamed and immediately turned around.

She was a girl who grew up in an ordinary traditional family. Such a bloody and violent incident was not something she was exposed to. Other than in movies and television, this was the first time she had seen such a scene.

In any case, Wang Ting was much calmer. She had not been a good girl when she was young and often fought.

However, she felt that Lin Yi’s actions just now were very attractive.

You could often find such violent and bloody scenes in bars and nightclubs.

However, there was no doubt that Lin Yi took this violent aesthetic to the extreme.

Unconsciously, Wang Ting’s body trembled. Fortunately, she had not lost her mind just now.

Otherwise, with his level, she definitely would not be able to defeat him.

Both of them were knocked to the ground and could not stand up.

The workers who were working also retreated one after another, not daring to move.

“Return this sand back to where it came from. Don’t make me waste my breath, or I’ll make you lie down too.”

“Don’t do anything to us. They’re the ones who hired us to do this. We’ll unload the sand now.”

“Hurry up. I’m in a hurry.”

More than a dozen workers climbed into the trucks and emptied them. They used their shovels and removed the sand from the trucks bit by bit.

“If you f*cking ruin Master Wu’s plans, Master Wu will definitely not let you off!”

Lin Yi walked over step by step and stepped on the freckled man’s head.

“Then tell him to come to me. 1 want to see falls first!”

“F*ck!”

As the two of them spoke, the person who had been kicked to the ground by Lin Yi stabbed at him with a dagger.

“Lin Yi, be careful!”

Li Sijin cried out instinctively. She was so anxious that tears came out of her eyes.

Lin Yi turned his body slightly and dodged the other party’s dagger. He grabbed the other party’s wrist, snatched the dagger away, and stabbed at him!

“All!”

This was followed by another scream. The man who was kicked by Lin Yi held his lower abdomen and lay down.

Fresh blood slowly flowed down the stream from the riverbed. The scene was abnormally tragic.

“Call the police and take these two away.”

“Oh, okay.”

Li Sijin was scared out of her wits. Her face was pale. When she called the police, she couldn’t even speak properly.

“Don’t be afraid. You were defending yourself. You’ll be fine..”
