“Don’t just say it. You have to show it.”

Lin Yi said meaningfully.

“How can I show it? You’re the one with a desire but no courage,”

“I don’t want to hear that.”

“You’ve stayed in my house so many times. I’ve given you the chance, but you didn’t take advantage of it. Can you blame me for that?”

“What are you talking about? Since when have you let me stay at your house?”

“That’s right,” Liang Ruoxu said seriously.

“I’m a woman, and I can’t beat you. If you attack, I won’t be able to resist. Don’t you agree with that?”

“Damn, so you like that kind of kink. Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

“F*ck you.”

Liang Ruoxu rolled her eyes and said, “Let’s be serious. How does it feel over there?”

“Nothing special. Other than being poor, it’s also pretty sh*t. There’s no local industrial advantage at all. Without a powerful external force, it’ll impossible for these people escape poverty.”

“You’ve hit the nail on the head,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“I chatted with Lu Yanmin for a long time about Dongsan County. There are many other factors involved.”

“Such as?”

“In order to ensure Yuhang’s competitiveness, neither the province nor the city can spare any extra funds to invest in Dongsan County. All they receive every year is 200 million yuan in poverty subsidies,” Liang Ruoxu said.

“However, all the major departments in Dongsan County, be it hospitals, schools, and elsewhere rely on these two hundred million yuan to survive. Moreover, the money is not enough, so they don’t have the money to invest in other infrastructure.”

“I understand this.” Lin Yi nodded.

“They can’t rely on local aid to help them escape poverty. Otherwise, thing wouldn’t turn out like this. They have to rely on powerful external support.” “Are you planning to use the power of the Lingyun Group?”

“I have a plan, but I haven’t decided yet. I’ve only been here for a day, and I haven’t figured out the exact situation. I have to see what’s going on first.”

“You’re right. Continue your investigation. I’m in Zhonghai but I wish Director Lin success.”

Lin Yi smiled. Liang Ruoxu was as cheeky as usual.

After hanging up, Lin Yi sat cross-legged on the bed, thinking about the matter in front of him.

From Lin Yi’s point of view, using the Lingyun Group’s strength might be unavoidable.

With Lingyun Group’s influence in the industry, it should be able to attract other companies to also move into Dongsan County.

With enough time, this matter would be easily resolved.

However, Lingyun Group also needed to make a living. This plan would not work if it could not make a profit.

Firstly, it would be disadvantageous to the Lingyun Group. Secondly, it would not last long. In a few years, the situation would revert back to this state.

Therefore, he could not act rashly for the sake of completing the mission.

“System, using the Lingyun Group’s power to alleviate poverty shouldn’t be considered against the rules, right?” Lin Yi said in his heart.

[As long as you help Dongsan County to truly escape poverty, the mission will be considered completed.]

Lin Yi rubbed his chin, finally understanding the mission rules.

He could try to fulfill the mission by relying on a method of frantic spending.

For example, Lin Yi can’t just spend recklessly; he had to approach it from a long-term perspective, ensuring that this place genuinely escaped poverty and maintained a better standard of living in the long run!

This was the most important thing!

Therefore, as long as he guaranteed this, it did not matter what he did, as he would not break the rules.

Thinking of this, Lin Yi stroked his chin and smelled a business opportunity.

Then, he called Ji Qingyan on WeChat.

“Mr. Lin, didn’t we just talk on the phone an hour ago? Did you miss me again?”

In the video, Ji Qingyan was wearing pajamas and glasses as she looked at Lin Yi sweetly.

“That’s right. A day apart feels like three autumns.”

Ji Qingyan blinked. “I feel like you’re looking for me for something. Tell me the truth, won’t you?”

“Cough, cough, cough…”

“President Ji, please speak more politely. Is this how you treat your clients?”

“Huh? Client?” She was taken aback for a moment. “Are you planning to introduce a project to me?”

“I have a project that I wanted to introduce to you, but I feel that your attitude is not very good. You don’t seem to be willing to work with me. Why don’t we forget about this? I’ll ask someone else. You’re not the only capable company around.”

“Aiyaya, President Lin, don’t go. I’ll apologize to you. Let’s talk again.” She covered her mouth and laughed, playing along with Lin Yi.

“No, your apology is not sincere.”

“How can I be considered sincere?” Ji Qingyan unbuttoned one of her pajama buttons, revealing not only her snow-white shoulders but also her black bra strap.

“Is this okay?”

“I can’t believe you seduced me in such an improper way, but I still like it.”

“Hehe…”

Ji Qingyan pulled up her pajamas. “Alright, what project is it? Is it a government initiative?”

“It’s not based on a government initiative.” Lin Yi said, “Aren’t I in Dongsan County? There might be some business opportunities here.”

“How so? Be more specific.”

“I plan to inspect this place first and then build an industrial park. That way, we will bring more workers in. These workers will need a place to live, so this is where you will make your money.”

Ji Qingyan pondered for a moment. “This kind of project is risky. If you can’t improve the level of welfare there, the real estate project will fail.”

“That’s why I’m giving you a heads-up. Keep an eye out.”

“Huh? I got it, Mr. Lin. Mua…”

After chatting with Ji Qingyan, Lin Yi put down his phone, stretched, and muttered to himself,

“We have to do something big this time!”

Ring ring ring!

Just as Lin Yi was looking forward to the beautiful blueprint, his phone rang.

He picked it up and realized that it was Li Qingkai.

“Brother Li.”

“Little Lin, where are you?”

“At the hotel.”

“Let me ask you something,” Li Qingkai said nervously.

“When you and Little Li went down to survey the county during the day, did you have a conflict with someone?”

“How do you know about this?”

“Someone called me and wanted to check your information. He even asked me to call and ask where you were.” Li Qingkai said.

“Pack your things first and go back to Zhonghai to lie low. Come back in a few months.”

“I just hit a few people. Why should I lie low?”

“You just came here. You don’t know the situation in the county.” Li Qingkai said.

“The people you beat up are all Cheng Laowu’s 9 subordinates. He’s very famous in Dongsan County and has a complicated relationship with the people. He’s not someone you can provoke. They’re looking for you now. Listen to nt advice and quickly return to Zhonghai to hide for a few days.”

“Heh… I thought it was a big deal.”

Lin Yi smiled. “Where’s that Cheng Laowu now?”
