Lin Yi opened his arms and hugged Tian Yan.

“You must have been frightened. Thank you for your hard work.”

If this had happened in Huaxia, Tian Yan would not have been afraid. However, this was Meiguo. These people were unreasonable, so she could understand the fear and worry in her heart.

Even if she was an executive of Lingyun Group, she was still an ordinary woman outside of work.

When faced with such a situation, she would naturally feel nervous and helpless.

“At first, I was indeed quite afraid. I didn’t expect them to do this. It didn’t make any sense at all. However, after I thought it through, 1 felt that you would definitely come and fetch me back after hearing the news. From then on, I wasn’t that afraid anymore.”

“That’s the right way to think. As long as it’s one of mine, no one else can touch it.”

Whoosh!

Tian Yan took a deep breath. “Although we’re just ordinary superiors and subordinates, these words make me feel like I’m in love.”

“Just treat it as a bonus from the boss. You can fantasize about it in your heart.”

“No, it’s too boring to fantasize. The more I think about it, the more I crave it.”

“Alright, let’s be serious. This is the entrance of the embassy. Such a solemn place is not suitable for nonsense.”

The two of them separated, and Lin Yi brought Tian Yan in.

At this moment, Wang Hanshan and Zhao Xia also walked out and shook hands with Tian Yan.

“Thank you for your hard work.”

“It’s not hard. This is what we should do.”

“Let’s go. This is not the place to talk. Let’s go to the conference room. We also want to know the ins and outs of this matter.”

“Okay.”

When the four of them arrived at the meeting room, the atmosphere was much more relaxed.

“Let’s talk about the situation here first,” Wang Hanshan said.

“This happened too suddenly. I suspect that you were reported. Did you offend anyone else in the global procurement process?”

“That’s really not the case. All our actions were reasonable and legal. The commercial procurement projects were all carried out according to the relevant procedures here. We didn’t violate anyone’s interests,” Tian Yan said.

“Theerefore, I think there are two possibilities.”

“Take your time. There’s no rush,” Zhao Xia said.

“Firstly, it might be because of Meiguo. A long time ago, in order to limit Huaxia’s development, they secretly made a series of small moves. This time, they decided not to pretend anymore and directly attacked us.”

“This is indeed a possibility, as their little secret tricks were indeed very shameless,” Zhao Xia said.

“The second point is what Director Wang said just now. Someone reported us, but I don’t think the person who reported us would be from Meiguo because every project I’ve done is very clean and there was nothing wrong with them. The capitalists in America won’t go against money, so the possibility of them reporting me is minimal.”

“Are you saying that the person who reported you is from Huaxia?”

“Because Lingyun Group developed too quickly and disturbed the interests of countless people, many people became jealous of our boss, so they reported us.”

BANG!

Wang Hanshan slammed the table in anger.

“This is nonsense! When 1 investigate this matter, I’ll definitely deal with it seriously!”

As the leader of the Commerce Department, Wang Hanshan was even angrier than Zhao Xia.

Lin Yi sat on the chair without saying anything.

He understood Wang Hanshan’s feelings, but whether or not he could handle it was not up to him.

In Huaxia, anyone who dared to report Lingyun Group would need more than guts. If they did not have enough authority, they would not have the ability to do such a thing.

After all, information on the Meiguo branch office was very secretive. Only six people knew about it.

Due to this, it was impossible for ordinary people to find out about this.

Therefore, with Wang Hanshan’s status, it would be very difficult for him to handle this matter unless their leader directly showed up.

“Director Wang, calm down. Now is not the time to be angry.”

Tian Yan said with a smile, trying to leave a good impression on Wang Hanshan. After all, he was the leader in charge of business, and she needed to build a relationship with him.

“What Little Tian said makes sense. OUR current mission is to settle everything here. As for the whistle-blower, we can slowly investigate it when we get back. We have to give Lingyun Group an explanation. We can’t let such a national enterprise be wronged.”

Zhao Xia’s words were meant for Lin Yi.

To be more precise, it was actually directed at Shen Shuyi. After all, the two of them were very close, and it was beneficial for Zhao Xia to be on good terms with the Liang family.

Wang Hanshan nodded and said, “But the negotiations should not be a big problem. They are all at a dead end, so the initiative is in our hands.”

“In that case, let’s leave it at that for now. No matter what, it can be considered to be a satisfactory solution to the problem. This is a blessing in disguise,” Zhao Xia said.

“That’s right.” Wang Hanshan stood up and said.

“Let’s go and eat something first. Director Tian is back too. It’s a good time to calm her down. President Lin and I have to have a good drink. Let’s treat it as a celebration.”

“Sounds good.”

By the time they finished eating, it was already past four in the afternoon. Lin Yi tidied up his clothes and prepared to leave.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going out to do something. I’ll be back later. Stay here and don’t run around.”

Lin Yi knew very well what Meiguons were like. They might regret their decisions at any time.

However, as long as Tian Yan stayed here, she would be safe. No one dared to touch her, or they would start a conflict between the two countries.

“But it’s not safe for you to go out at this time.”

“Don’t worry, they can’t keep me here. Just stay here.”

With that, Lin Yi left without looking back, preparing to do his own thing.

After leaving the house, Lin Yi went to buy a huge suitcase and went to the bank to withdraw five million US dollars. By the time he was done, it was already past six in the evening.

The night enveloped Saint Francesco, and Lin Yi called Josem.

“Hello, may I know who you are?”

“This is Lin Yi. We met during the day. You shouldn’t have forgotten me, right?”

“No, we haven’t decided on the time for the next negotiation. Please don’t be anxious.”

“That’s not what I want to talk about. I want to meet you and talk about this in private.” Lin Yi smiled.

“And I’ve prepared a big gift for you. I’m sure you’ll like it.”

“You can come to my house for a glass of red wine. I want to talk to you about this too.”

“Okay.”

Lin Yi went to the address that Josem had given him.

It was completely different from what Lin Yi had imagined.

His house was not considered luxurious, and it was a little messy. Other than him, there was only one dog in the house.

Furthermore, there were no female products around. All signs indicated that he was an old man who lived alone.

“My wife and I divorced a year ago. I live alone now. If you have anything to say, you can say it. You don’t have to worry about anyone overhearing.”

“Don’t be anxious. Before we get down to business, I want to show you something.”

With that, Lin Yi opened the suitcase, and Josem was instantly stunned..
