Global Arrival: Survival on a Desert Island

Chapter 101 The 1st Sea Battle (13)

Chapter 101 The First Battle at Sea (13)

As the pirate fleet approached, the situation on the island became clearer.

Blair was a little surprised by the Giant Mac that was slowly starting up in the port and the battleship outside that seemed to have just returned to the port.

The forces behind this island are so generous that they left battleships to guard the island.

But even with the guardianship of battleships, two ’bulky’ battleships are just a piece of meat in his eyes.

But looking at the people on the island who are preparing, this is preparation for battle.

Blair didn’t even think about launching a conflict here, at least he had to get close to the range of artillery fire to turn his face.

Call the messenger on the ship and order.

”Use common lights and semaphores, tell them that we are a caravan from the south, and ask if we can stay nearby for one night, and if conditions permit, ask if we can go to their supply.”

The messenger quickly lit a fire lamp, and then used the lights and semaphores to send signals to the island.

Lin Feng, who was observing through a telescope, looked at the waving flags for a while and was a little puzzled. What are they talking about?
Turning his head to look at the herald who was also observing, there was a hint of questioning in his eyes.

”They said... they are a caravan from the south and want to rest near us, and then asked if we have any extra supplies, and they want to replenish.”

Hearing this answer, Lin Feng was slightly taken aback.

Caravan?

And this stuff?

But the mission introduction mentioned pirates, why has it become a chamber of commerce now?
But if you think about it carefully, if you are really a pirate, if you find an island on the island and want to supply it, then it is impossible to call yourself a pirate openly.

Then you definitely have to change your identity and use a different rhetoric to be accepted by others.

And the caravan sailing on the sea is also the most relaxing rhetoric.

Especially after the camouflage, all the ’sailors’ standing on the deck are uniformly dressed, and ordinary people will definitely mistake it for a caravan.

But it’s a pity that Lin Feng, who was prompted by the task, had already made preparations.

Seeing the opponent waving the repeated flags, Lin Feng stroked the stubble on his chin and thought about asking the messenger beside him.

”Are our semaphores the same as theirs?”

”It’s different. They use a common semaphore for navigation, while we use another set for internal messaging. Each fleet has its own semaphore.”

Hearing this, Lin Feng nodded with relief.

”Reply to them, you can stay, but you can’t get close to the island... What is the distance of 500 meters? Ten sails?”

”Well, Ten Sails.”

The orderly nodded affirmatively.

”Reply to them like this. As for the transaction, there is no transaction yet. At the same time, use your own semaphore to signal to others, continue to execute the total annihilation, and wait for the other party to enter the attack range and directly attack.”

For the upgraded Black Coral at a distance of 500 meters, its three types of naval guns can exert the greatest lethality at this distance.

Especially in terms of accuracy, this is the limit distance.

If it is farther away, the only artillery that can hit accurately is the row of 32-pound heavy artillery at the bottom.

After receiving the instructions from Lin Feng, the other party obediently lowered the half sail to slow down, as if they really just wanted to rest nearby for a night.

But even if the other party really obediently followed the instructions to stop and rest, Lin Feng would choose to annihilate them without hesitation.

The Black Coral, which was on guard at sea, was ready to attack when it found the enemy. As the opponent’s fleet approached, the artillery operators were constantly adjusting their shooting elements.

The Robin that has just started will not be able to turn for a while due to lack of power. If you want to wait for the support of the Robin, you may have to wait for a while.

But the waiting time was enough for this island pretending to be a caravan to launch a first attack.

In order to ensure the advantage, Blair, the temporary commander of the Robin, decided not to wait for the support of the Robin, and launched an attack first.

Through the fixed distance measuring instrument on the ship, the distance of the opponent is carried out.

800...700...600...

When reaching this distance, it is reasonable to say that the other party should have fully furled the sails and stopped the ship, but they are still sailing at half sail.

It seems that the other party at least pretended to make them let down their vigilance.

Fortunately, Lin Feng had already given the order to die. After the opponent’s ship entered the attack range, the 32 cannons on the starboard side of the Black Coral launched bombardment one by one.

The orange flash of gunfire illuminated the entire side of the ship.

Iron balls of different sizes, large and small, flew towards the target at high speed under the blessing of gunpowder.

To deal with such long-distance targets, it is usually preferred to use a single iron pellet for bombardment to ensure the hit rate and lethality.

Only after approaching a distance of 300 meters, shotgun and chain rounds will be used to kill personnel and masts.

The iron ball fired by the artillery hit the flagship of the pirate fleet heavily under various blessings.

Although the distance of 500 meters is the best angle for various artillery, but under the movement and the artillery with low accuracy, very few can hit.

More projectiles fell into the sea, splashing jets of water.

The sudden attack startled the pirates. They were not ready to attack yet. Why did the other party suddenly open fire?

Attacking caravans is not something that a formal power country can do.

Could this be a hidden pirate stronghold?

Luo Kun thought of countless possibilities in his mind, and only the last one was logical, otherwise, why would the other party open fire without saying a word.

But the artillery flying over at this moment did not allow him to continue thinking about other things, so he quickly ordered a counterattack.

”Left full rudder! Line up and attack!”

The battle between sail warships is very simple, line up, go around in circles, bombard each other, and fight each other in close combat when necessary.

In this situation, it is best to use the artillery function first to reduce the crew on the opponent’s deck and reduce the danger for jumping gangs.

The pirate fleet has been fighting at sea for a long time, and after a little panic in the face of this sudden situation, it quickly entered a combat state.

The first flagship took the lead in launching the counterattack horn.

But before they turned, the Black Coral, which had a good shooting angle, had launched three or four rounds of strikes.

As the distance between the two sides continued to increase, the artillerymen on the Black Coral had also entered the state, and most of the successive rounds of artillery were able to hit.

This is a deadly threat to pirate flagships with a smaller tonnage.

After the bombardment from the right wing, many places have been blasted with big holes, and many people were killed or injured on the ship.

After seeing that the shooting conditions were finally in place, Luo Kun hurriedly ordered an open fire attack.

”Attack! Attack! Attack!”

Under the urging of the captain, the artillery operators lit the artillery fuzes one after another to fight back.
