Global Arrival: Survival on a Desert Island

Chapter 100 Pirates Attack

Chapter 100 Pirates Attack
The state of alert lasted for two days. Looking at the challenge that ended in only 38 hours, Lin Feng couldn’t help frowning.

According to the past situation, the challenge mission would appear the day after he took over the challenge.

But this time it has been two days since he took over, and the area around the island is still quiet, with no intention of challenging at all.

If the challenge does not appear after the time is up, is this considered a different way to complete the task?
But this kind of thing is basically impossible, after all, it was also said in the challenge mission.

It is considered a failure if the time is not completed, and he has not even started the task, so it is naturally a failure.

However, the two days also left enough time for Lin Feng to reorganize the military.

Build trenches, forts, strengthen patrol points on the coastline, etc. on the island.

And the upgraded Black Coral is also on standby at sea 24 hours a day, and there will always be a group of people on board to deal with emergencies.

Under such a layered arrangement, even if there is another fleet of the same size, Lin Feng is confident that he can win.

……

While Lin Feng was actively preparing for the battle, a pirate fleet with a black flag and skull logo was slowly approaching here [-] kilometers south of the island.

Under the scorching sun, everyone on the deck of the pirate ship listlessly hid in the shadows to escape the heat.

At the bow, Luo Kun, the leader of the ship, is constantly searching the sea level with a monocular.

And the first officer beside him asked impatiently.

”Boss, we have been chasing that treasure hunting fleet for more than a month. Since they disappeared last time, we have been circling here for almost half a month, but we haven’t even seen a bird. Did they run from other directions? gone?”

Regarding this question, Luo Kun put away his telescope and said calmly.

”We’ve been following them for so long, but they suddenly disappeared when we came to this sea area...”

”When the waves opened, there was an obvious reverse wave, indicating that there must be an island nearby, and it is very close to us. I suspect that they found the island nearby and are resting on it.”

Hearing the captain’s words, the first officer hurriedly looked at the ripples in the sea, but he didn’t see anything after looking for a long time.

Just when he was about to ask something, Luo Kun interrupted him in advance.

”Notify the other squadrons to gather and line up. I guess with luck, I can find those two ships today.”

”Yes!”

Hearing the captain’s notice, the first mate’s eyes lit up, and they were already bored after drifting at sea for two months.

Now that there is finally something to do, everyone is very excited.

Under the transmission of the semaphore, the four single-masted warships in the surrounding area moved closer to this side, ready to fight in a group.

The five warships gradually formed a diagonal line, led by the main ship’s double-decker ketch destroyer, followed closely by four single-masted warships. The distance between the two warships was less than 50 meters.

The fleet sails, and in order to take care of the slow ones, it does not advance very fast.

After nightfall, the flickering light from the lighthouse attracted the pirate ships.

”Is this a lighthouse? Someone built a stronghold here in this uninhabited sea?”

Looking at the flashing lights, Luo Kun had some doubts in his eyes. Building a stronghold in such a desolate sea area, isn’t this something only those with a brain can do?
If you want to build a stronghold, you should also go to the archipelago with rich land. In this kind of place where there are no villages in the front and no shops in the back, supplies are always a problem.

However, being able to build a stronghold in such a barren sea area should not be too weak. If you want to make a fortune, you have to think carefully.

Luo Kun thought for a while, and then gave instructions to his adjutant.

”Adjutant, go tell the brothers to change the flag and pretend to be a caravan to see if you can sneak in.”

”okay!”

After nightfall, the sea communication depends entirely on lights. After some communication operations, none of the ships uniformly changed their camouflage flags.

And there are also changes in the sailors’ attire. They are extremely proficient in the matter of camouflage mixed in.

After completing the camouflage, everyone headed towards the flickering light spot of the lighthouse at full speed.

Being able to see the lighthouse light also means that it is very close to the island.

In less than half an hour, we found the brightly lit island.

On the ships on the island, the lights are controlled, except for the necessary lights in the cabin, all other places are extinguished.

Observing the island through a telescope, looking at the dykes surrounding the coast and various buildings, shows that this island has been developed for a very long time.

Moreover, this is a stronghold for permanent preparations, so there may be heavy weapons against ships on the island, so it seems that we have to be careful.

However, during the investigation, Luo Kun found no trace of warships around the island.

If there are no warships, no matter how many weapons there are on the coast, they will not be a big threat to the flexible warships.

As long as the island is surrounded and bombarded with artillery for half a day, no matter how strong the defense and firepower are, it will be blown into ruins.

What they have to do now is to get closer to check the situation on the island, and then decide how to launch an attack.

Although it was night, under the clear starry night, the battleships appearing on the horizon were also very conspicuous.

After discovering the warship that suddenly appeared, the island immediately entered a combat position. Except for a small number of personnel who stayed on the island, the rest of the personnel quickly boarded the warship and made preparations.

The Black Coral, which was cruising on the sea, also received the warning message at the first time, and began to fill the ammunition, looking for a favorable position to prepare for the attack.

The Robin, which was docked at the dock, was also making preparations for boarding in an orderly manner.

After receiving the warning, Lin Feng immediately came to the island’s newly built watchtower on the top of the mountain.

This is the highest place on the island, and with the watchtower, you can see the surroundings of the island clearly.

Looking at the five dark warships through the telescope, he couldn’t help but frown slightly.

This formation is really big.

Then click on the challenge leaderboard to view the tasks.

Sure enough, the task at this moment has appeared.

[Challenge mission: wipe out the incoming pirate fleet]

In this mission, one was not expelled, but the two words of total annihilation were used.

If the expulsion still has the meaning of negotiation in it, then the total annihilation has no meaning of negotiation.

Without hesitation, Lin Feng relayed his order to the herald beside him.

”Use the first mover advantage to wipe out the incoming fleet!”

After receiving the order, the herald quickly uses the whistle and semaphore to report the order to others.

At this moment, Lin Feng was looking at the five slowly approaching warships, thinking about the gap between the enemy and ourselves this time.

Although the opponent has an advantage in numbers, from observation, except for the first double-decker brigantine destroyer, which is threatening, the remaining four single-layer sloops are all crispy.

If the modified Black Coral’s concentrated artillery hits once, it will probably be scrapped on the spot.

But in terms of numbers, if they were beaten by them, even the upgraded Black Coral might not be able to withstand the concentrated fire attack.

The best tactic now is to give priority to killing the leading destroyer, and the remaining ’small boats’ pose less serious threats to him.

Thinking about this, Lin Feng issued a more detailed battle plan again.

The two deputy captains who temporarily commanded the Robin and the Black Coral immediately started making arrangements after receiving the order.
