Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2623: Chapter 61: Black Horn Barbarian Armor

In the following days, Mo Hua began acting as the ”Gentleman” for these children from the Barbarian Tribes, teaching them some script, the principles of life, basic knowledge of Tao Cultivation, and the fundamentals of Formation.

Mo Hua’s identity in the Great Wilderness gained another layer.

Eight days later, Elder Jiao Hu sought out Mo Hua.

In the spacious tent, Mo Hua was teaching a group of children Tao Cultivation.

Elder Jiao Hu bowed his head in salute, glanced sideways secretly, and saw that the children of the Black Horn Tribe were neither ”eaten” by Mo Hua, ”killed,” nor sacrificed as ”offerings.”

On the contrary, individually, they wore clean clothes and sat quietly in the tent listening to the lecture, and respectfully called Mo Hua ”Gentleman,” feeling both moved and sighing wistfully.

Mo Hua, seeing Elder Jiao Hu, said to the group of children:

”What I just taught you, review it yourselves.”

”Yes, Gentleman.” The group of children nodded.

Mo Hua got up and walked to the council hall on the side.

Elder Jiao Hu immediately followed, and upon reaching the hall, he bowed and said:

”Reporting to you, honored Witch, this old servant has not failed you and has created the Black Horn Barbarian Armor.”

In the Great Wilderness, slavery exists. Barbarian cultivators worship deities and consider themselves to be slaves of the Barbarian Gods. Therefore, after accepting Mo Hua’s identity, Elder Jiao Hu referred to himself as the ”old servant.”

Mo Hua didn’t particularly like the word ”slave.”

However, the time was not ripe yet; his influence and power were not strong, so he had to maintain his persona as the Great Wilderness Witch to avoid arousing suspicion.

”Bring it to me for a look.” Mo Hua said calmly.

Elder Jiao Hu then took out the Black Horn Barbarian Armor, meticulously crafted by himself and a group of tribal artisans, from his storage bag and presented it to Mo Hua.

Mo Hua examined it carefully and nodded slightly.

The so-called ”Barbarian Armor” is just a local term in the Great Wilderness, essentially a kind of ”armor” used by cultivators in combat.

Though the basic principles of artifact refining are similar, due to differences in regions, output, refining materials, and cultural inheritance, the Barbarian Armor of the Great Wilderness differs significantly from the Daoist Soldier Armor used by the Daoist Court of the Nine Provinces.

Firstly, in materials.

The armor of Taoist Soldiers also uses materials from monster beasts, but gold, silver, and steel occupy the majority.

However, the Barbarian Armor of the tribes is mostly composed of monster beast materials.

Even to a certain extent, the Barbarian Armor of the tribes resembles a layer of artificially crafted ”monster skin” or ”demon bone.”

In terms of formations, the two are also completely different.

The Taoist Soldier Armor generally uses the Five Elements Eight Trigrams Formation Formation.

Whereas the Barbarian Armor of the tribes essentially uses the Four Symbols series of Monster Patterns or, more broadly, Beast Patterns.

Similar to Taoist Soldier Armor, the types of Barbarian Armor are also varied:

There is simple Light Bone Armor, flexible Leather Armor, heavy yet sturdy Heavy Bone Armor, and some special inheritable Barbarian Armor with incredible powers.

The ”Black Horn Barbarian Armor” forged by Elder Jiao Hu, according to the design map, should belong to the ”Heavy Bone Armor” category.

But the problem is, ”Heavy Bone Armor” requires a lot of materials, often sourced from the fierce bones of large monster beasts, making the forging process more complex and challenging.

The Black Horn Tribe lacks the foundation.

Elder Jiao Hu lacks the ability.

Therefore, the Black Horn Barbarian Armor he forged today is just a single set, pitch-black, somewhat somber ”Light Bone Armor.”

Though not particularly outstanding, given the limited conditions, achieving such results already made Mo Hua quite satisfied.

Mo Hua nodded, ”Not bad.”

Elder Jiao Hu breathed a sigh of relief and cupped his hands, saying:

”The Barbarian Armor Map bestowed by the honored Witch was extremely detailed and comprehensive, enabling this old servant to forge such exquisite Barbarian Armor.”

This was also the highest quality Black Horn Barbarian Armor he had forged in his life.

Of course, he was also aware that to the honored Witch, esteemed and with refined taste, this was merely a ”meager display of skill.”

”Honored Witch, there is one more thing...” Elder Jiao Hu hesitated, ”The formation on this Barbarian Armor, none in the Black Horn Tribe can draw it.”

Mo Hua nodded, ”No problem.” He then took out the Formation Pen, dipped it into ink, and casually drew a few strokes.

A Four Symbols Black Horn Formation was precisely engraved on the Barbarian Armor, on the black horn bone plate used as formation media, as if sculpted by knife and chisel.

Even Elder Jiao Hu didn’t get a clear view of how exactly Mo Hua drew it.

It seemed that Mo Hua merely flicked a hand and moved the pen tip, and the ink marks automatically meandered. The profound and obscure formation automatically congealed.

Elder Jiao Hu’s heart was shaken, feeling that the young Witch before him truly had ghostly, unfathomable skills.

He respectfully said, ”Honored Witch, divine wisdom.”

Mo Hua for a moment could not discern whether this Jiao Hu truly regarded him as ”divine wisdom” or was simply flattering.

But it didn’t matter; as an esteemed Witch, he was destined to receive praise from others.

Mo Hua pondered for a moment, then summoned Little Zatu, instructing, ”Go call Chieftain Wusha of the Wulu Tribe over.”

”Yes, Gentleman.”

Little Zatu nodded, then trotted off and returned shortly with Wusha, who exuded a bloody aura.

Wusha came before Mo Hua, crossed his right hand over his chest, saluted first, ”Honored Witch,” and then raised his head.

But as soon as he lifted his head, he saw the Black Horn Barbarian Armor beside Mo Hua, and his eyes instantly shone brightly:

”Honored Witch, this is?!”

Mo Hua’s gaze slightly focused, ”You want it?”

Wusha nodded, knelt on the ground, with eyes like a wolf, pleading:

”I beg the honored Witch to grant Wusha the Barbarian Armor! Wusha will fight triumphantly for the honored Witch, vanquishing all foes.”

Mo Hua was a bit surprised.

According to his expectations, any Barbarian Cultivator should want a piece of their own Barbarian Armor.
